Robert Todd Lincoln, eldest son of four kids to President Abraham Lincoln, and the only Lincoln child to survive past the age of 18. Died in his sleep on July 26th 1926 at age 82.

- was in the White House when his father was shot at Ford theater, and rushed to the Peterson house to be at his father's death be.

- was an eyewitness to Charles Guiteau shooting President James A. Garfield at the Sixth Street train station in Washington DC. Lincoln was Garfield's secretary of war at the time.

- was attending the 1901 Pan-American Exposition in Buffalo NY when President William McKinley was shot. He was not a witness but was nearby.

- aware of his coincidences of being a witness to, or in close proximity to three different presidential assassinations, he later turned down a presidential invite saying "No, I'm not going, and they'd better not ask me, because there is a certain fatality about presidential functions when I am present."
