Ramblings
It's interesting. Everytime I leave home to travel back to New York which is becoming more of a home the more I spend time here, it always takes longer for it to set in. What is "it" you may ask? "It" is that sinking feeling in my stomach and heart that threatens to drag me down. It's that overwhelming feeling of being alone and of being lost. It happens everytime, in different ways. But as I sit here in a McDonald's down the road from school this evening, just having a drink and taking in being back, I feel myself wondering why I have to feel the way I do. It's not necessary, in fact, it's just terrible! Me being me I always wonder if I'm just deluding myself, but I know it requires getting through the calm before everything starts to get in the swing of things. Waiting is quite honestly the worst, because if you are a chronic overthinker like me, you begin to conceptualize everything that could go wrong instead if just planning for success and rolling with it. I'm lucky enough to have some amazing friends who whether they know it or not, help pull me through every time. So to you all I say, nay I proclaim it, I am a work in progress. And I'm okay with that.
