Technically a blog specifically for the Mic Drop AU- or now being called the FiveRedLights AU by @163-catalyst <- also me.
Since I decided to make this AU only on Tumblr I thought it would be fun to give these guys a Social Media page that would be this :D
Once again, I am aware none of this is real, I do not think any of this is real, it is all a part of my weird imagination <3
Along with me making these five just normally be on this. I will start posting the very short narrative parts on here as well. No they will not be continuous.
I know nothing about music
Its very likely none of the technical stuff will make sense
General Information:
Dino - Lead Vocalist
Gabriele - Bassist / Backing Vocals
Kimi - Drummer
Arvid - Rhythm Guitar / Sometimes Backing Vocals
Ollie - Guitar
The colours mean nothing I just thought they looked good.
You can ship literally any of them together but at the moment, in the AU, I'm working on Arvino.
Everything is likely to be tagged with FRL-AU
Main Tag for Narratives - FiveRedLights
Main Tag for them being idiots - WhoHasThePhone?
Ask/Answer Tag - FRL-Unlocked
Omg I see Gabriel Bortoleto your the Five Red Lights AU collage post
What’s Bortoleto’s role in the Five Red Lights AU? Is he Dino’s pre-debut (feeder series) best friend who shows up randomly in Dino (and later Ollie)’s insta posts? & Fans randomly confuse him for Gabrielle Mini 😭
Admin: Gabriel well- he's a complicated thing to explain. But he definitely gets along with Dino. They are still friends and meet pretty regularly.
There is a video playing. Posted maybe ten minutes ago.
They’re setting up to film a bit of media content, sneak peak video, behind-the-scenes thing, something like that.
Cameras are already rolling when the room door opens and someone walks in holding a bass.
Gabriel Bortoleto.
The problem is-
He’s holding Gabriele Mini’s bass.
Ollie squints.
“Why do you have that.”
Arvid crosses his arms immediately.
“Where is Gabri.”
From the drums, Kimi looks delighted.
Dino just looks confused.
“Yeah where is Gabri?”
Gabi smiles, very calm.
“Oh, he’s a bit under the weather.”
Everyone pauses.
“He’ll be here later though.”
And then-
From somewhere out in the hallway.
A loud BANG.
“GABI LET ME OUT YOU LITTLE SHIT.”
The entire room goes silent.
Ollie slowly turns toward the door.
“Is that-”
Another bang.
“GABRIEL.”
Dino covers his mouth, already laughing.
Kimi is losing it behind the drum kit.
Arvid just stares at Gabi.
“…Did you lock our bassist in a cupboard.”
Gabi shrugs, still holding the bass.
“Temporarily.”
Another muffled thump.
“YOU STOLE MY BASS.”
The camera operator is visibly shaking because they’re trying not to laugh.
Eventually Gabi sighs and walks back out into the hallway.
There’s the sound of a cupboard opening.
A second later, Gabri storms into the room.
First thing he does?
Snatch his bass back.
Second thing-
He reaches up and aggressively messes up Gabi’s hair.
Completely destroys it.
“Payback.”
Gabi just sighs.
Kimi is clapping.
Ollie is crying laughing.
Arvid shakes his head.
Dino looks straight at the camera.
“…And people ask why we don’t let guests watch us rehearse.”
I meant that Dino might have Ashton Irwin’s role socially in their band, like Ashton tends to go through some shit emotionally but try to hide it (as Dino has this tendency too) and is generally the older guiding figure to his other teammates
Admin again :>
Ah I see okay, I'm sorry not that educated on these people. I'm going to be very vague when I say this but I've given all of them some sort of angst. Because of course they can't be happy when it comes to me making a storyline. This type of issue is given to most of the group in different ways mostly because it's how I am, so I have not spared a single one of them.
I would say Gabri and Dino are definitely the more experienced ones, for guiding I'd say that is more so Gabri but Dino is there too :D
I headcanon that in their band, Dino has an Ashton Irwin-like role
Admin here
I actually have zero clue who Asthon Irwin is so I had to Google this. And it says he was a vocalist and drummer? Sadly the drummer role has been handed off to the lovely chaotic Kimi but I'm sure they've switched and tried each other's things at one point :D
Will this be accurate? No.
Did I write it anyways? Yeah.
It starts because Ollie gets bored.
Which is always a problem.
They’re mid-rehearsal. Everything is normal. Structured. Functional.
Ollie suddenly stops playing.
“I’m bored.”
“That’s not our fault,” Arvid says.
Ollie ignores him.
“Switch.”
“Switch what?” Kimi asks, already suspicious.
“Everything.”
Before anyone can object, Ollie is moving.
He takes the bass from Gabri.
Hands him his guitar.
Passes the bass to Arvid.
Then steals Arvid’s rhythm guitar.
Dino is still holding his mic like this is happening to someone else.
“Why are we doing this?” Dino asks.
“Growth,” Ollie says confidently.
“Chaos,” Arvid corrects.
Kimi lights up.
“Oh this is going to be terrible.”
He stands up from the drums immediately.
“Dino. Sit.”
“I don’t–”
“Sit.”
Dino ends up behind the drum kit looking deeply unconvinced.
Kimi grabs the mic.
“Right. I’m lead vocalist now.”
“This is a bad idea,” Arvid mutters, adjusting the bass strap awkwardly.
Ollie starts strumming rhythm like he’s been doing it his whole life.
Which he hasn’t.
It shows.
Arvid leans over. “No, try barring it. Like this–”
“Stop backseating my playing,” Ollie says.
“You’re playing it wrong.”
Meanwhile, Gabri–who absolutely should not know what he’s doing–starts playing the main riff.
And it’s… good.
Kimi lowers the mic slowly.
“…Why are you good at that?”
Gabri shrugs.
“Basic chords.”
“That’s not basic,” Ollie says.
Arvid narrows his eyes slightly.
“How do you know that transition?”
Gabri doesn’t miss a beat. “I have eyes.”
Dino hits a drum too hard and flinches at the sound.
Kimi shouts into the mic, entirely off-key:
“YOU JUST HIT IT. DON’T THINK.”
“I AM THINKING,” Dino yells back.
“STOP.”
Ollie and Arvid both abandon their own instruments to crowd Gabri.
“No, do that bit again-”
“Slide into it.”
“Add more pressure.”
Gabri laughs, actually laughs, and does it again.
It’s cleaner this time.
Kimi screams something unintelligible into the mic because it echoes and that’s fun.
Lights flashing, crowd roaring, the final chorus still echoing as Dino stepped forward, grinning breathlessly.
“Thank you, goodni-”
The microphone slipped from his hand.
A collective gasp rippled through the crowd.
Except-
A hand shot out.
Clean catch.
No hesitation.
Arvid spun the mic once in his hand like he’d been expecting it, raising an eyebrow at Dino while the rest of the band burst into laughter behind them.
“Again?” Arvid said into the mic.
Dino clutched his chest dramatically.
“It was an accident I swear!”
From behind them, Ollie leaned toward the crowd.
“Ladies and gentlemen, please forgive him,” Ollie announced. “He’s still learning how hands work.”
The audience laughed.
Gabriele stepped forward next, nodding solemnly.
“It’s tragic,” he said. “We’ve been practicing for months.”
Then, from the back of the stage, Kimi cupped his hands around his mouth and shouted.
"KISS!"
Arvid went bright red.
Dino pointed accusingly at him.
“See?” Dino said. “Now you’ve started something.”
Arvid shoved the mic back into Dino’s hand.
“This is your fault.”
“You caught it!”
“That was reflex!”
“Sounds like responsibility to me.”
Ollie leaned into Dino’s shoulder.
“If you fall, do you think he’ll catch you too?”
Dino brightened immediately.
“Oh we should test that.”
“Absolutely not,” Arvid said quickly.
The chanting got picked up by the fans.
“KISS! KISS! KISS!”
Gabriele clapped Dino on the back.
“Well,” he said mildly, “the fans have spoken.”
Dino grinned at Arvid like he was about to do something deeply annoying.
Arvid pointed at him.
“Don’t.”
The stage lights dimmed as the band waved their goodbyes, the five of them disappearing backstage while the crowd kept cheering.
The moment the door closed behind them, Dino laughed.
“Good catch.”
Arvid tossed the mic gently onto the nearby table.
“Good drop,” he replied.
Gabriele flopped into a chair, grabbing a water bottle.
“That line about hands was new,” he said. “I liked that one.”
Arvid nodded.
“Strong delivery.”
Kimi was still grinning.
“You should have kissed him.”
Arvid buried his face in his hands.
“Oh my god.”
Dino leaned against the wall, still smug.
“Next show.”
“No.”
“Next show.”
“Absolutely not.”
Kimi pointed at them both like a referee making a call.
“Next show.”
Arvid groaned.
Somewhere down the hall, a staff member shouted that the fan signing would start in ten minutes.
Ollie stood up immediately.
“Right,” he said. “Let’s get ready to go sign things and pretend we’re normal.”
“Too late for that,” Gabriele said.
Kimi slung an arm over Arvid’s shoulders.
“Don’t worry,” he said cheerfully. “Eventually you’ll kiss him.”
