i love when people on the internet post a photo or illustration of a 1910 sheltie (inverness yarrow more often than not. occasionally lerwick jarl. possibly wallace.) and say things like 'they used to be like miniature border collies!! and now they're ruined!!'

because on one hand im like im with u i don't think shelties should be following the modern collie standard either just because english fanciers and later american fanciers had a very limited scope on what a collie dog was. but also euro sport lines. what ur looking for is euro sport lines.

now: they don't actually look like miniature border collies. for the most part they look like regular shelties

just with moderate (often trimmed) coat and unkempt ears. they turn up in showline kennels litters all the time. euro sport lines just happen to do it on purpose

what does "a little tight in front" mean in the dog judging notes?

Narrow movement, means they were moving their front legs too close together.

At a certain speed you want the tracks of each paw to converge into a straighter line (single-tracking) but you also want a natural range of movement at a slower speed, and you definitely don't want any crossing over the centre line.

Troj is a narrow dog who tends to move a little close, and that day she was weaving a little because she was upset by something in the grass (95 dogs moving down that strip of grass before you in the last 24 hours may do that).

Skrap is at an age now where front action tends to be too loose (high step, unstable elbows) or too tight (at one point during the chest development the upper arm tends to get a little constrained, causing them not to step out properly.)

skaro's undercoat shows coloured banding with the hairs being grey by the root and reddish/brown toward the tips, with a clear transition. troj doesn't have anything like this both her top- and undercoat hairs are solid in whichever shade they are.

when he was a puppy, his merle was uniform and more or less correct, with the colour spreading out from his shoulders and down his back as his coat grew in. it's warmer and more severe along the top (we call it his dorsal stripe) with his bottom half and a stripe behind the shoulders retaining the unbanded/pale colour. it's like we ctrl+v'd an agouti/sable pattern on top of his blue and set the opacity to 50%

idk. it might just be a variaton of merle expression. it'll be interesting to see how it acts when he starts shedding his current coat and grows new undercoat though

this blog, which is about my dogs, provides a steady stream of comments and replies along the lines of 'thought this was about your child for a second LOL', which, 1) no thank you. immediate and critical CPS situation. and 2) i don't actually need to be informed every time someone fails to read a full sentence. or of their general lack of contextual awareness. these thoughts are ok to keep to yourself. it's fine! no one needs to know.

Now that correct answers have been given we can reveal that left dog is a ✨️ goldendoodle ✨️ the middle dog is a 🔥standard poodle🔥 and right dog is a 🌈 spanish waterdog 🌈 with the latter two being confirmed NKK registered
