Chance the Rapper is reportedly turning down some very generous record label offers after he achieved a historic win at the 2017 Grammy Awards. The New York Post reports that the Chicago MC has turned down offers worth up to $10 million, after he beat Drake and Kanye West to win the Grammy Award for Best Rap Album.
Staying independent,Â
raising 100k for coats for Chicago kids,Â
hosting open mic events for Chicago teenagers,Â
giving the music away for free and still making a substantial life off tours and merch.Â
When we say âindependentâ that just means he doesnât have a label telling him what tracks he can and cannot put out. Like, he just has total creative freedom.
This is #BlackExcellence  Â
I just heard that the reason that Beyonce announced her pregnancy is because Blue was out there telling all her classmates that her mom was pregnant. When I say I HOLLERED like thats so funny

Well itâs probably because no white person alive today actually killed native Americans or owned slaves and that black people are disproportionately the ones who are killing and murdering people despite being a minority in America. But whatever fuck stats
^stfu
But also I feel this in my soul like every time me and my friends have a race discussion I bring this up like its wild
@real-trans-advocacy First of all, your original statement is invalid. You said that âno white person alive today actually killed Native Americans.â
Guess what? Thatâs wrong.
Here are the names of SIX documented (key word: documented) Native Americans shot and killed by police in 2014:
-Joy Ann Sherman (Lakota) -Christina Tahhahwah (Comanche) -Myles Roughsurface (Navajo) -17 year old boy, name withheld by authorities (Hoopa) -Allen Locke (Lakota) -Naverone Christian Landon Woods (Gitxsan First Nation)
So it doesnât matter that you believe no white people ALIVE killed POC nor was that the point of this post. The important thing is:
YOUR ANCESTORS WERE MURDERERS THAT KILLED NATIVE AMERICANS AND MILLIONS OF OTHER POC.
Period.
And look @ modern times. Y'all STILL continue to murder us EVERYDAY. I cannot tell you how many lives have been unfairly taken, how many hashtags have been created, how many destroyed lives I have seen that come from the crime and terror committed by white people.
We created #BlackLivesMatter to support and uplift ourselves from all the violence and terror committed against us and what do you do? Shout #AllLivesMatter.
But all lives didnât matter until black lives did.
Black people are literally screaming at the top of our lungs for you to stop killing us, and white people are saying, âButâŚâ
So PLEASE tell me how can you NOT understand our anger??
#Sandra Bland #Eric Garner #Trayvon Martin #Tamir Rice #Michael Brown
Do you want another hashtag of an innocent black life white people have killed?
Pick one.

Here are the names of OVER 200 INNOCENT, UNARMED BLACK PEOPLE that have been killed unrightfully by police since 1964.
And this isnât even the complete list.
To count EVERY SINGLE UNARMED black person killed by police since 1964, you would have well beyond 5,000 PEOPLE.
Thatâs over 5,000 funerals.
Over 5,000 memorials.
Over 5,000 devastated families.
Over 5,000 burials and cremations.
Over 5,000 broken hearts.
Over 5,000 tears shed.
Over 5,000 memories.
Over 5,000 innocent black lives MURDERED at the hands of white people.
Since 1964. WELL beyond slavery days.
Yes, your ancestors like your great grandparents are long gone. But this is since 50 years ago.
That means your parents, your aunts, your uncles, your grandparents, your cousins, maybe even you yourself if you are old enough were alive and possibly STILL alive to witness this.
But I know you probably donât care about black lives anyway, most of America doesnât.
So here are the numbers of NATIVE AMERICANS your people have killed.
The Battle of Wounded Knee - (1890) More than 150 Indigenous men, women and children killed and 51 wounded of the Lakota tribe.
Thatâs TRIPLE the amount of the number of those killed in the worst mass shooting in modern U.S. History (50, Pulse Orlando).
And thatâs just one battle.
The OVERALL death toll of Native Americans in total since Christopher Columbus settled in âIndiaâ:
95,000,000 to 114,000,000.
Donât believe me? Research it.
And hereâs a very neat and informative website about the genocide of Native Americans by white people for all those screaming, âSource!â: espressostalinist . com
Also, hereâs an interesting fact: Native Americans have had the highest mortality rate of any U.S. minority because of U.S. action and policy.
The Holocaust, the genocide of millions of Jews, during WWII was done by guess who?
A white man (Adolf Hitler).
But white people arenât scary right?
And amazingly enough, us POC still donât hate ALL white people. But we DO want you to acknowledge our struggle.
The moral of my post (which Iâm sure you still wonât get) is this:
If white people can find POC (especially blacks) scary,
Then POC can find white people scary too. :-)
^ Yâall see this? THIS is an educated black person. THIS is what the white man fears. They donât want us to be aware of whatâs REALLY going on, so they try to water down our suffering⌠which is why we MUST stay educated. @ladytranquility Thank you. Thank you for this. #BlackLivesMatter
