if the room was silent, they’d be able to hear amara’s heart pounding inside of her chest thanks to her nerves. “no,” she replied softly. truthfully, she wasn’t even sure what she was saying. there was no reason for her to be upset or angry. they were friends, no further connection than that – right? cautiously reaching forward, amara placed her hand on sam’s chest. her eyes firmly locked on his and she began to run her thumb back and forth across his shirt, slightly shivering from the touch even though blocked by fabric. “i’m just sayin’ that if i didn’t know, i wouldn’t feel so bad ‘bout kicking your ass, 'cause i wouldn’t have any prior knowledge.”

sam watched her movements with cautious eyes. he wasn’t quite sure about what was going on nor what to do about it. the whole conversation had gone wrong and he felt guilty for upsetting amara but also confused. confused because of the girls reaction and confused as to why he suddenly liked the idea of amara not wanting to see him with one of the other girls. was it just because of them being her sorority sisters or was it other girls in general ?? he honestly couldn’t help but wonder. “so is it just them or would you be equally upset if i told you i fucked sophie from mondays lecture ??”
