โ this place has been abandoned for centuries. โ (intended to be from @flags-and-time, probably North talking history like a NERDDD-)

Luffy stopped, a shy inch from North ' s person, sharp fangs gleaming as he grinned. " Oh yeah! Uuuussseed to be a pretttyyy lively place! Sabo ' d gush over these pillars back then. " He pointed at the used to be infrastructure, broken, chipped, used to be solid and strong stone pillars now laid as memories from the past.โ sprawled and separated.

: A pause in the air, how would he know? It's been withered since the war from decades, a century (?) back. Questions are left unanswered as the Pirate Captain prods at blackened walls weaved and bound by vines. Overgrown with tall, large plants. Tracing patterns of drawings carved by heavy hands. A MESSAGE from the past. " Big fight, place must've been ripped 'apart.!! Wonder if there's anythin' cool left.. "

Luffy mulled it over, sliding past shadowed surroundings to stand in front of a cavernous place tucked behind a surprisingly intact border. " Ohh! Look at this, Nert! " His mouth waters at possibilities on what may be hidden in the cave... " Ya' think there's any FOOD in there..? " Of course his first concern is his stomach, the loud rumbling echoing monstrously at the mention of sustenance.
North was usually one to keep inspecting, but upon hearing the mention of a cave and possible loot ahead, he gently moves towards it, keeping his metal hand first. A slight coating of Armament Haki along his arm as it is a solid black now, prepared and waiting.
"Could be food. Could be an adventure. What say you, Cap'n?" Of course his nickname was simple and to the point. Also probably stolen from someone else but when is he complaining? He begins to guide the way, his palm out to move aside any stones or doors in the way.
"...either way, it's definitely old. Wish Robin was here to see this. Or Tre...scratch that last one." He still says names on reflex. On instinct. As if thinking a million miles a minute and yet hyperfixated on onr singular topic.
