She tilted her head, pursing her lips like she wanted to argue. After a minute, she just nodded, accepting his assessment. “The scar won’t be too bad; I am the best healer in the camp, and possibly the kingdom, after all.” Motioning for him to go stand by Takeshi, she pulled an extra cot out, setting it near the fallen swordsman.

"Tetsu-kun brought his sword in… it’s next to him there. I’m in the tent right next door to the left…" She paused and giggled. "I guess that would make me left next door, huh? Anyway…” The brunette waved a hand, continuing her original thought. “There’s a bed. If he wakes up tonight and seems to be in pain, c’mon over and get me. Otherwise, I’ll wake you up in the morning to go see Hibari-sama.” She smiled and patted his good shoulder, then walked out.

The moon was high in the sky and the sounds of the bustling camp had settled to a murmured silence when Takeshi sat straight up in bed, grabbing his arm immediately in pain and yelling Tsuna’s name loudly. His eyes were wild as they stared into the darkness of the healer’s tent, not recognizing where he was. The panting breaths wracked through his sore ribs, and his temples pulsed, making his vision even spottier in the dim light. “Tsuna!! TSUNA!!”

    He didn't know for how long he was awake for. He just... couldn't sleep. Not even a wink. Everytime his eyelids would begin to droop even the slightest, the image of his best friend lying there, cold and unconscious, would flash through his mind and jolt him right back into full-awake. Worried chocolate eyes would glance over to the form lying not so far away, as if checking to make sure he was still breathing. The tent was dark, and it was hard to see anything at all, but he forced his eyes to focus in the darkness, just enough to see the steady rise and fall of his friend's chest. He was alive... Each time he glanced over in worry and fear, he proved he still lived. He would be okay... He had to keep telling himself that. Takeshi would wake up, and they would go on their merry way again. There was no way he could be down for the count so soon... No, he was stronger than that.

    Putting his mind at ease, he let his gaze wander to the tent's roof once more. He stared at it for a long while, his muscles relaxing. His shoulder throbbed, and dear god it hurt, but he chose to ignore it, lying flat on his back to not aggravate the wound. It, too, would heal. Soon, but not soon enough, he finally felt sleep beckoning for him. His eyelids drooped, the world outside faded into the background, the dull ache dispersed... A quiet calmness surrounded him as his mind quieted itself on its own. He would soon fall victim to sleep if it weren't for the shouted name falling from Takeshi's lips.

    With a gasp, the brunette's eyes shot open, as wide as dinner plates, with his mouth agape. He was sitting up in only a split second, a jolt of pain running all throughout his body from twisting his shoulder the wrong way. He ignored the white hot pain as he twisted his body to look toward the form of his friend. As soon as the first syllable was shouted, the young prince was up and scrambling toward Takeshi, adrenaline kicking in. "I'm here, I'm right he-" And as he was trying to shout those words in return, his foot snagged in the blanket and sent him tumbling down, landing directly on his friend's lap. He let out a pained shout as his injured shoulder collided with the ground, his arm pinned under him, but he forced it to the back of his mind as he righted himself, careful not to use his bad arm.

    His good arm, as soon as he was seated next to the other, reached out to grab a shoulder. "I-I'm right here, Yamamoto... I'm right here," he spoke shakily. His whole body was trembling, and he almost felt feverish. It was the wound trying to heal, he knew, but the shaking was from fear and worry over his friend. "We're at a camp right now. R-remember what Dino said...? We're there. C-calm down," he spoke soothingly, reaching up to place a hand on the other's cheek, then hook it around to the back of his neck to rub small circles. It was something his mother used to do to calm him; maybe it would help with his friend, too.

Hey, guys! Sorry for being gone so long! I was working on getting Hiccup up and running again, since I missed the lil shit. Things kept happening - including a near break up, a convention, and a huge fight - that slowed his progress, but now he's active again, and I'm more than happy!

So! I'll be returning to Tsuna very soon! In fact, if I can gather up the motivation, I'll be replying to things tomorrow!

Thank you all for your patience, and I promise Tsuna isn't dead! He was just on a temporary hiatus. And now that I give no fucks about this relationship and Hiccup's good to go, it's time to build TsuTsu back up!
