Hello RQ community! This is The Rebels and this blog was made to ask the RQ directly with any RQ related questions we have. We haven't had any new questions for a while but that doesn't mean we are no longer interested in the community. In fact we are appreciating the community from the sidelines.

Meet the Rebels: Beast and Ernesto.

We are collectively RQ neutral, Pro-Para, Pro-TransID and Pro-Endo. We ask you to not drag us into contact discourse as we already deal with the bullshit that is syscourse there is only so many brain cells we can dedicate towards online arguments.

We are an autistic system that is collectively ageless. We are bodily an adult and deaf.

Bounderies: Our inbox is not going to have annons on for our safety. Do not flirt in the inbox. For one I, Beast, am in a loving in-sys relationship with Ernesto and she will not like any unwarranted advances on me.

For any anti RQ that finds this blog/post: Either you have slipped though the cracks during our mass blocking or you are a new anti-RQ blog just block us. We don't want talk to your group on this blog.

Any being that breaks our boundaries, Ernesto, can deal with you in anyway she sees fit.

radqueers are pro redemption. we believe people can change, heal, unlearn, and grow. that’s one of the core differences between us and the people who hate us—we don’t throw people away.

so when I see radqueers making cruel jokes about death, mocking someone’s last moments, I can’t help but feel like it betrays that value. you don’t have to excuse what someone did to recognize that their life ending in violence is still tragedy. you don’t have to like them to acknowledge that their family, their kids, their community will carry that grief forever.

redemption means we don’t celebrate death. it means we hope for change, even if it never comes. it means we try not to become the same kind of cruel that was turned against us.

Yes, because Charlie Kirk, the person who is a bigoted, problematic, disgusting, conservative right-wing who would not bat an eye if any trans or black folk died instead of him would surely "grow" and "unlearn", or have a "chance at redemption".

What happened is a direct consequences of his actions and views. Would you say we shouldn't celebrate the death of Hitler as well?

People have tried to change his views. Words have not worked. "Violence is never the answer" is bullshit made up by abusers to silence minorities and victims. He 100% had it coming. He deserves zero empathy. The only ones deserving of it is his family.

thisll prolly be the only time i get involved in discourse and its SPECIFICALLY because i want to point something out.

you can 100% believe in redemption and that people can be redeemed AND ALSO still believe that some people cannot or do not want to be redeemed AND ALSO victims and survivors DO NOT have to forgive or even like abusers and/or oppressors.

do i believe people deserve to be redeemed? yes. do i believe my abusers deserve to be redeemed? if they can put in the work for it, sure. does that mean i have to innately forgive my abusers and never ever make fun of them for the harm they brought to me? no.

you can be pro redemption and still know and understand that not everyone can or will be redeemed. this isnt a clockwork orange, we cannot forcefully rehabilitate people and redeem them. it just doesnt fucking work like that.

charlie kirk did not want to be redeemed, he wanted to stay bigoted and oppress minorities. he didnt care. he never did. it is perfectly okay for people to not be upset at his death or even make fun of it because we lost a literal oppressor.

dont start this "redemption" bullshit when someone doesn't put in the work to be redeemed. he had NUMEROUS debates to CHANGE HIS MIND and he NEVER DID. no matter how many people debated with him, no matter how many people brought up reliable sources, statistics, peer reviewed papers, he NEVER changed because he didnt WANT TO. he stayed on the side where he could be a bigot and refused to change his mind. that is NOT how someone is redeemed.

Thank for the block list OP, I never want to see people that have the same take as you in thinking Charlie Kirk deserves kindness even now.

Call me a hypocrite all you want but I rather try to protect the people that got hurt the most by someone’s hateful speech than protect the person making it. Kirk doesn’t deserve pity hell he even said it himself. That any victim of gun violence should never be heard because of “emotions” and “twisting the narrative”. So I’m just giving him what he asked for: Making his death a laughing stock like he did with countless deaths of kids that died in the same way.

TransID pride month 2024 calendar

The finalized version! No one had any complaints about the themes, so they're the same, but I did shuffle some days around compared to the draft, so be sure to check this version!

There were also a couple questions, so let me answer those real quick.

Q: "It's not transID pride month, it's actually Hispanic heritage / Alzheimer's & cancer awareness / national suicide prevention / 9/11 / etc. month."

A: As you proved yourself, months can have multiple themes. June, for example, is not just queer pride month, but PTSD awareness month, children's awareness month, immigrant heritage month, and more. I'm not even the one who decided September to be the month, that was decided a good while ago. (This was "asked" by an anti, but I bet others are also thinking this.)

Q: Can transabled, transPOC, (etc.) beings also be apart of the disabled/neurodivergent, POC, (etc.) days?

A: Of course! I'm not here to tell you what you can and cannot do, anyways, do what you want.

🍼 I get where ppl are coming from when they say “you dont want *thing* it isnt cute or quirky it is suffering” like yes I’m aware, however atypical dysphoria is not something I chose to have. I understand when I do end up transitioning fully to some of my transids I probably will be suffering to some degree but that to me sounds better than the dysphoria. I’m aware what these things entail because I have done my research as well as most radqueer people have done, I know what is going to happen and I know how I’m going to feel and I would rather feel like that than dysphoric I rather have that experience than dysphoria.

I've tried to explain this so many times...

Dysphoria can be worse than the suffering that may actually come with transition. If you don't think so, you really have no idea just how bad dysphoria can get.

If transgender people can't continue on with dysphoria, you'd encourage whatever transition they need. You'll also have to accept they'll have entirely new struggles due to transition.

And I wish we had the same attitude for other TransIDs... As a wider society.

there's no good reason for anyone to identify as cisharmful. if you think you're causing harm but want to change, there's different prefixes for that. If you think you're harmful but not in a way that causes real harm*, then you can call yourself transharmful. Transids are not any less meaningful than cisids.

and if you're causing real harm and don't want to even PRETEND to try to do better, then get the fuck out of this community I'm not welcoming you.

I do believe we should work to stop harm-doers from causing harm by working with them, but within the confines of an online community harm-doers have to make the first step. We can't just ignore the causing of real harm.

while I don't think any identity causes harm, we have a consistent language for a reason. Saying that you're cisharmful communicates that you're causing real harm and aren't doing anything to change that. cisharmful doesn't just communicate identity, it communicates ACTION. Even if that's not what you mean, that's what you're communicating through your language and I will act accordingly (especially as i think keeping a certain level of separation between cis and transharmful is important)

*in this post, by real harm i mean non consensual hurt caused to a real person within consensus reality (including things that were technically consensual but weren't fully informed of negative consequences, were coerced, etc)

2. Still rooted in emotion try again.

Now my own thoughts on the subject!

Cis doesn’t mean “real”. It’s not about reality or how things are it’s about how one feels. Therefore cis is an identity.

You can be cisharmful in the way that an AGAB nonconforming being can be cis the opposite of their original AGAB.

Cisharmful doesn’t mean actively harmful just like AGAB nonconforming individuals aren’t actively changing from their original AGAB.

Also OP ignores in-system harm entirely in this post. Do they think harm done in the innerworld is meaningless since its not "actual harm" since it does not happen in the outerworld? Not every cisharmful being thinks that consented harm is not "real" harm since I know one alter from a system friend that IDs as cisharmful even if it was consented. "Just use another prefix don't use cis-" that's not how identities work. Sometimes someone does not want to use the "best" fitting term and would rather something more broad.

I know this might not mean much but I just wanna put this on record:

While I do hate the TransID.org Discord server, I am completely fine with the TransID.org website since it's the only RQ archive that is easily accessible. (I had issues with several archives that the community uses the most not loading in the past).

My dislike for a discord server should not get in the way of the archival of my terms as it might help someone in the future and get it outside of Tumblr. I do know my terms are already on there, I have not been directly asked if they could be posted in there. While that does annoy me just a smidge I am completely fine with it. Today I am giving blanketed permission for my future terms to be placed on there.

Using TME/TMA language is harmful to intersex beings! It's just bioessentialism repackaged into an acronym! TME/TMA is just another way to get someone's AGAB in a passive aggressive manner.

Consent is generally implied for those forms of dynamics, but it’s not necessary by any means. PropID is about being literally owned by another person, they choose your identity, even if you don’t want to be that thing (but still consent given it’s a dynamic, but it’s not mandatory). How are you gonna entirely miss the point of being someone else’s property, “I don’t like that it’s focused so much on being owned”, my brother in christ the term is about being someone’s property LMAO

The fact you want to recoin the term using the same name is dumb, pick a different name for it if you want to water down what it actually is. If you want to make consent mandatory for a term where it is optional, just straight up make a new term. Get creative, be original lmao. 💀
