Okay but- if you think about it, Saru really does hate being touched, even by Misaki when they first meet. Not much of a surprise if you look at Saru's home life and how he was treated. So naturally, the very first time Misaki feels conformable enough to hug Saru, he's pushed away instantly only to be told that hugging is something Saru isn't crazy about. This of course does disappoint Misaki a bit but he decides to try again a few weeks later, only to get the same results.

However, despite the constant rejections, he doesn't give up because he's determined get his best friend more comfortable with hugs, and soon enough he notices that Saru had stopped pushing him away, but still refuses to return the embrace. Either way, progress is progress, so over the next couple of months the hugs continue and then one day, Misaki is surprised.

As usual, Misaki comes running up to Saru and throws his arms around his best friend, giving him a bit of a tighter hug then usual. Just as he was about to let his friend go, he is taken by surprise when he feels Saru wrapping his arms around him, surprising Misaki right away. This causes Misaki to look up at his friend in confusion, only to see Saru looking off to the side and seeming to be a bit embarrassed.

"...Are you hugging me back, Saru...?" Misaki asks, still sounding rather confused.

"I um...to be honest, I've always liked your hugs but I had to tell myself I didn't because I feared that you would reject me... No one had ever wanted to hug me before, not even my own parents obviously, so I just told myself I didn't like hugs...but yours are different... They're warm and I feel safe..." Saru mumbles in a soft tone, still not looking at Misaki.

Hearing that had definitely surprised the little ginger, and even made his heart hurt slightly. However, after learning this he tightens his embrace on Saru and gently snuggles against his chest while feeling Saru's arms tighten around his smaller form.

After that day, Misaki made sure to hug Saru every day, sometimes twice or three times a day so Saru could always feel the safe embrace his friend provided for him and Saru always returned his friend's hugs, making Misaki the only one allowed to ever touch him in such a way.

How Misaki Sleeps

So, I’ve thought about this for some time now. 

Misaki definitely has a wall bed due to the fact that he rolls around a lot in his sleep. He’s a very restless sleeper, so having the bed pushed against the wall makes it a lot less likely for him to roll out of bed during the night. Sure, he still bumps the wall and gets a few bruises but it definitely beats falling out of bed during the night. 

Note: He does still fall out of bed sometimes due to only one side being protected by the wall. The only time he never rolls out of bed is whenever Saru is sleeping beside him. On one side he is protected by the wall and on the other side he’s protected by Saru.

It's just a normal day, at least that what it seemed like. Izumo is standing behind the bar, wiping off one of the wine glasses and Mikoto is sitting at the bar with a cigarette in his mouth and a glass of whiskey in front of him.

Izumo suddenly looks up and starts looking around the bar before his gaze falls upon a certain pair who are currently glaring at each other, one having his arms crossed over his chest and the other having his hands on his hips, leaning his taller self over a bit so he could be a bit closer to a certain ginger's face.

"Do you smell that?" Izumo asks loud enough for only the red head at the bar to hear. Sure enough it has Mikoto lazily sniffing the air before he looks at Izumo with a lifted brow.

"What?" Mikoto asks, sounding slightly unamused. He then watches as Izumo points over his shoulder toward Saruhiko and Misaki, who still had yet to move from their current stances.

"The scent of sexual tension is in the air." Izumo says, this time loud enough that it earns the attention of both the ginger and the raven.

They look over simotainlusly, Saru had a brow lifted and Misaki is blushing like crazy. Of course their reaction had Izumo smirking a bit and Mikoto only rolled his eyes before grinning as well.

"Go get a room, you two." Mikoto huffs out, which causes Misaki to start screaming and cursing up a storm before he storms out of the bar with his face nearly as red as his hair.

"...This only happened because I told him he couldn't have any more sugar. And now he's probably going to go get some kind of caffeine thanks to that comment." Saru definitely sounds annoyed. He glares toward Mikoto and Izumo before clicking his tongue and hurrying out of the bar to try and catch up with the angry little ginger before he got his hands on some sugary beverage.

Misaki's the one who actually starts the pillow fight. He sneaks up behind Saruhiko, who's sitting on the couch casually reading a book and not suspecting a thing. Once close enough Misaki chucks the pillow, hitting Saru in the back of the head and causing him to grunt softly. His head is thrown forward slightly, causing his glasses to become a bit crooked. He hears Misaki laughing behind him and quietly closes his book before standing up very slowly.

"Misaki...do you really want to start this?" Saru asks without turning around.

"Start what, hm? I have no idea what you're talking about." Of course he's trying to play innocent, but Saruhiko isn't buying it one bit. Without a warning, the raven turns quickly and sends one of the couch pillows flying right back at the shorter ginger, hitting him right in the face.

A muffled 'oof' is heard as the pillow falls to the ground, landing at Misaki's feet. Saru is smirking very slightly now, almost as if he's daring the ginger to come at him. Misaki glares very slightly and leans down to pick up the pillow that smacked him in the face, only to charge at the taller raven without warning.

This erupts into a very violent pillow fight between the two of them. Soon, Saruhiko's glasses go flying off his face and landing somewhere on the floor. Misaki is standing on the couch in order to hit at Saru a bit better. Unfortunately he swings a bit too hard and accidently bashes Saruhiko's lip, while Saru ends up knocking Misaki in the nose.

Both now have blood on their faces, and on the pillows their holding. They're just staring at each other, neither of them moving from their spots. After several moments of silence, the two of them just start laughing at each other and playing it off like nothing had even happened.

"Your face looks fucked up-" Misaki says between breathes while hoping down off the couch.

"Yours doesn't look any better, Misaki." Saru huffs softly and rolls his eyes a bit.

"Yeah yeah, come on. Let's go get some ice cream!" Misaki exclaims as he grabs Saru by the wrist and proceeds to pull him off.

Neither of them remembered that they had a friend visiting them at the time. Said friend was currently still sitting in the apartment with a bit of a horrified look on their face. Their eyes land on the bloody pillows as they shake their head and stand up quickly whilw crying a bit.

"This was supposed to be cute, not violent you two!" They're still bawling a bit as they chase Saruhiko and Misaki down so they can check the injuries on their friends. Said friend is definitely a bit traumatized, but now knows what to expect from the other two.

I'm feeling down so- I'm gonna try to write something that might be funny and maybe a bit cute-

It's a little after 1AM, Misaki and Saruhiko have finally settled down for the evening in their shared bed. They're laying with each other, snuggled close and genuinely just enjoying each other's company before they fall asleep for the night.

After pressing their foreheads together, sharing one last small kiss and exchanging 'I love yous', they proceed to curl up beside each other and slowly drift off to sleep.

However- at some point in the night Misaki rolls over, only to take all the blankets with him and leaving Saruhiko without any. Within a few minutes, the sleeping raven feels a bit of a chill and slowly opens his eyes, only to find that he's lacking coverage. Sure enough, as his tired blue eye shift to the side, they fall upon a certain ginger who has practically wrapped himself in a burrito blanket and is still sleeping peacefully.

Despite not wanting to risk waking the red head up, Saruhiko carefully tries to reach over and unravel Misaki so he can get some of the blankets back. Should be simple enough, given Misaki's usually a pretty deep sleeper. Well- not tonight apparently. The moment Saruhiko tries to move him, the ginger curls himself up even tighter in the blankets, holding into them for dear life while the raven is trying to get them away from the other.

"Nuu- mine..." Misaki mumbles softly, using one hand to swat at Saruhiko while the other one keeps the tight grasp on the blankets.

"Dammit, Misaki...give me some of those before things end up going badly." Saruhiko rolls his eyes in annoyance, only to give the blankets one harsh tug. Big mistake.

Misaki had lost his grasp on the blankets and ultimately ended up falling out of bed, landing on the floor with a bit of a thud, followed by a soft little groan. His eyes suddenly snap open and he's on his feet with a very irritated expression on his face. His own eyes land on Saru, who's now wrapped up in the blankets in a similar way that he had been.

"Oh hell no- I don't fucking think so!" Misaki shouts out as he jumps back on the bed, landing on the buried Saruhiko and causing him to groan lowly.

Within seconds, the two of them are processing to fight over the blankets while occasionally smacking each other with their pillows, only for them to both end up on the floor, bringing the sheets and pillows with them. Both are tangled up now, Misaki is sitting on top of Saru, holding a pillow to his face, while Saru is on his back pushing a pillow against Misaki's face.

Both are actually laughing and continuing to roll around on the floor, only to soon end up exhausted and passing out in the pile of sheets . Neither made it back onto the bed.

Sure enough, the next morning they were both really sore from sleeping on the floor, but neither were necessarily angry. If anything, they were both laughing by the time they woke up and remembered what had happened a few hours before hand.

"This is your fault, you know." Saru says as he smiles toward the ginger who had been using him as a pillow.

"It might be, but this wouldn't have happened if you hadn't tried to take the blankets back-" Misaki grins softly and sits himself up a bit, only to be pulled back down and embraced by his boyfriend.

"Next time don't leave me in the cold then." Saru replies while gently nuzzling Misaki's slightly flustered cheek.

Once again, soft laughing can be heard between them. Smiles are exchanged, followed by small kisses. They still hadn't gotten up off the floor, but they would get to that when the time came, or when they just got tired of actually being on the floor.

Okay, I've been wanting to do this one for a fat minute so here we go!

It's a typical Saturday afternoon for Saruhiko and Misaki. Both are bored so they decide to turn on their gaming system and play some online games with each other, and they usually tag team to beat up other players on their games. Yata is usually the one who makes the other players angry, thus getting them to chase him throughout the game, while Saru remains hidden and takes out the other player before they can even realize what's happened.

Naturally, they hear a lot of screaming, cussing, and rage quitting through their headsets, but it just makes them smirk toward each other and they continue their little plan.

Now, out of the two of them, Misaki is normally the one who always screams and cusses whenever someone pisses him off in game, which is very often. While Saruhiko is always quiet and keeps a serious look on his face while telling Misaki to calm down.

Everyone on the game knows who is who when it comes to the two of them so no one, not even Misaki is ready when it finally happens.

During their game, someone finally catches on to where Saruhiko's character is hiding and instead of chasing down Misaki, they casually sneak up to where Saruhiko is. Neither of them see it coming because it's never happened like that before, so when Saru's character suddenly ends up dead, both Misaki and Saru are very confused.

Silence takes over both of them for several moments, as they're both still in shock to see the screen showing Saruhiko's dead character until finally, one of the controllers is SLAMMED down.

"You little shit! How fucking dare you sneak up on me like that! You better hope I don't fucking find your ass because when I do, I'll kill you so many fucking times, you'll never want to come back! I'll show you absolutely NO mercy!"

Everyone's heard it on the headset, and some players are even laughing because they think it's Misaki and his empty threats, but it isn't. After a few more minutes, Misaki finally finds his words and speaks so quietly into the mic that he can barely be heard.

"Uh- that wasn't me..."

That's when it finally clicks for everyone playing that it wasn't Misaki, but it was in fact Saruhiko, the one always telling his partner to calm down.

Afterwards, no one dares to ever mess with Saruhiko's character again and they eventually go back to playing. Misaki has slid a bit away from Saruhiko because he's actually scared now, but also very impressed and proud that his babe actually did such a thing and scared the shit out of everyone else playing.

At the end of their game, the mics come off and both of them sigh before staring at each other. Saru's expression is calm once again and Misaki is grinning like an idiot.

"I didn't know you had that in you. I'm impressed but also a bit scared." Misaki says before letting out a small laugh.

"Shut it, Misaki. That's never happening again." Saruhiko rolls his eyes, clearly embarrassed about such a childish outburst.

He claims it won't happen again, but it totally happens again, and soon Misaki joins in on cussing out whoever dares to sneak up and eliminate Saruhiko, and Saruhiko sometimes does the same whenever someone takes out Misaki.

Saruhiko: Don't be nervous, I'll be with you every step if the way.

Misaki: I'm not nervous, who said I'm nervous?

Saruhiko: You've held onto my hand for the past half hour with a death grip and haven't let go once.

Misaki: ...

Saruhiko: Like I said, I'll be right by your side.

Okay so with this particular prompt, I imagine this happening during Halloween.

Despite being scared of ghosts and other things, Yata really does love Halloween. It's one of his favorite holidays. So, on one particular Halloween night, Saru decides to take Yata to an amusement park with several haunted houses.

During the first couple haunted houses, Yata's doing fine. He has a couple of jump scares but he's laughing and having a good time with Saruhiko smiling right beside him.

After a little while, something scares Yata a little too much and he starts getting a bit nervous. He unintentionally grasps onto Saruhiko's hand, and keeps a pretty tight hold on it without realizing it.

As they approach their next haunted house, Yata's even more nervous because it's a clown house, one of Yata's least favorite haunted houses. They're standing outside, waiting in like and Yata is starting to look genuinely scared, so Saru says the following.

"Don't be nervous, I'll be with you every step of the way." He says it in that usual sweet, yet somewhat teasing tone and gives Yata a small smile. Yata simply scoffs and puts on his brave face.

"I'm not nervous, who the hell said I was nervous!?" He says it in such a defensive tone, it gets a very small chuckle out of Saruhiko as their conversation continues.

"You've been holding my hand for the past half hour in a death grip, and haven't let go once." Of course he keeps that teasing tone and grina toward Misaki, who's now furiously blushing. He has no come back, so Saruhiko continues speaking. "Like I said, I'll be right by your side."

Yata finally agrees and together they slowly make their way into the haunted house and continue to enjoy their evening.

BONUS:

Mikoto and Reisi are behind the boys and making their way into the clown house. Neither of them are showing signs of being scared. Mikoto looks bored and Reisi is using his logic to explain everything and predict when things will jump out at them.

However, he misses one and one of the people dressed as a clown suddenly comes up behind them and let's out a loud, terrifying cackle.

Reisi spins around and goes pale in the face before letting out an actual SCREAM and Mikoto reacts on instinct. The second Reisi screams, Mikoto turns around and socks the poor clown in the face, knocking them to the ground.

This incident gets Mikoto escorted out of the haunted house, grumbling about the clown asking for it whe they pulled something like that, and Reisi is follwing them shaking like crazy but at the same time trying not to laugh at what just happened.

Misaki: *gets a paper-cut* Ouch.

Saruhiko: *panics and crashes into everything in his haste* oMFG ARE YOU OKAY!? YOU'RE BLEEDING! THAT'S IT WE'RE GOING TO THE HOSPITAL!

Okay, so Saruhiko is always calm and level-headed. Nothing really gets him worked up and if it does, he usually just clicks his tongue in annoyance.

However, if Misaki ends up hurt in any way, shape, or form, he freaks out and goes into instant panic. Even over a paper cut! Misaki will constantly reassure him that he is literally fine and it isn't even serious, yet Saru proceeds to bandage his reckless Misaki up while grumbling the entire time.

Bonus: Misaki ends up so patched up he can hardly walk-

Everyone in HOMRA gives him a weird look when he walks into the bar the next day.

Misaki: No that's impossible.

Saruhiko: *cups Misaki's face*

Misaki: *blushing furiously*

Bonus: -In front of HOMRA and SCEPTER 4-

Misaki: Get off me, I have a reputation.

Saruhiko would totally cup Misaki's face in front of both their clans just to show them how cute he looks when he blushes furiously.

Misaki would be angry about Saruhiko making him blush in front of both HOMRA and SCEPTER 4. He looks so adorable with the dark red color on his face, and it's difficult for anyone to take him seriously anymore.
