The Kinks - Big Black Smoke (1966)
Another great Kinks b-side - the tale of a girl who runs away to London. Leave it to Ray Davies to paint the bleaker picture of Swinging London.
Sound d'Afrique II: Soukous [Mango, 1982] "Soukous" is a word understood throughout French-speaking Africa (the source of this album). Jeff Louna (born Joseph Lounana, 1948â2018) was a legendary Congolese guitarist and singer known for blending jazz with traditional rumba. A pioneer who co-founded the Jungle Trio, he captivated audiences across Africa and Europe before spending his later years performing and teaching in France.

The Everly Brothers - The Price of Love (1965)
This thumping tune was a big hit in the UK and Ireland, but got no response in the U.S.. It was a shame, as it's one of their best tunes from mid 60s. Bryan Ferry put his own imprint on the song on his solo LP Let's Stick Together.
