New Beginnings

Only a week into 2012, and Flappers Comedy Club has been keeping busy! We kicked off the new year with Caroline Rhea headlining our Burbank club and Michael Rayner in Claremont.

Since then, we've started a fresh cycle for Uncle Clyde's Comedy Contest, we have new performers and returning performers with new material in our Stars & Boulevards show, and are preparing for the next session of classes at Flappers University!

It has been one exciting week with much more in the works...

One of our newest born babies is CUPCAKE RIOT: a sketch comedy group with Samuel J Comroe, Drew Lynch, and Dusty Rhoads, along with cameo appearances by other members of the Flappers family. Subscribe to their YouTube channel (above) -- they will be putting up new sketches every week!

As for the rest of January, we are excited to see a few of our best headliners coming back for weekends and one-nighter-onlies. Reserve your seats NOW to see Harland Williams, Aisha Tyler, Greg Proops, Christopher Titus, and Dave Coulier!

Burbank Sunrise Rotary Fundraiser

  It was another successful night here at Flappers, Tuesday! With the focused efforts from a great line-up of comedians and great support from our audience, we raised over $4500 for Burbank Sunrise Rotary, a member of Rotary International. The funds will go to the Sunrise Rotary's service-minded programs: scholarships for local students, as well as other fundraising services for the community at large. In lieu of this exciting achievement, Flappers would like to thank all those who attended, and all our comedians: the amazing emcee of the night, James P. Connolly, and an outstanding line-up with Sam Kwasman, Melissa Villesenor, Scott Shimamoto, and Don Friesen. Also, a special thanks to Rod Gregson, a member of Burbank Sunrise Rotary, for choosing Flappers to produce the event. It was a pleasure having everyone here at Flappers, and we can't wait to see you all again!

Condit Elementary School Annual Fundraiser

Condit Elementary School's Annual Fundraiser for 2011 is just around the corner! Last year, Flappers Comedy Club donated gift certificates, t-shirts, and shot glasses for the school's Silent Auction,  along with 130 complimentary tickets for its attendees. With the combined efforts of Flappers and other donors, Condit Elementary earned nearly $20,000! We are extremely pleased to be apart of such a wonderful success for Condit's students and its surrounding community in Claremont.

Flappy 1st Birthday Flappers!

We are proud to announce that Flappers Comedy Club is celebrating its First Birthday on September 9th and 10th  2011 and we want to invite the general public to our birthday party, yeah we are finally off the pacifier!.   To celebrate we  are offering Free Admission to all our Friday and Saturday shows in  Burbank to all local residents and the surrounding communities.   This is a great opportunity for those folks who have not had the chance yet to come out and enjoy one of Burbank’s finest comedy and dining establishments.    We will be having shows on Friday and Saturday at 7:30, 8:00pm, 9:30, 10pm, and 11pm in both our Mainroom and in the Yoo Hoo room.  This offer is also extended to our Family Friendly show TWO MILK MINIMUM which is held on Saturdays at 12:30pm Doors open at 11:30pm.   Our all star lineup that weekend will include Don Friesen, James P. Connolly, and Michael Rayner as well as Several Celebrity Drop ins. There will also be live music on our patio to kick off each night. Guests will be invited to  enjoy celebratory champagne toasts, birthday cake, and lots of laughs.   Join in all the festivities at Flappers Comedy Club in Burbank: providing comic relief for one full year …with many more to come!
