Teen Wolf AU - House of Hales (Part 1): Thereās a reason why Stiles isnāt allowed to do magic without supervision.
"You know better," Derek pointed at Peter. Ā "Youāre supposed to be the adult here, start acting like it. And youā" Derek turned to Stiles and he threw his hands up in the air.
"I know, I know, Iām not supposed to do magic without you, but I got this book from Deaton and it was just a simple relocation spell. Ā And hey, it worked!" Stiles motioned to the hole in the wall. Ā "Sort of," he turned back to Derek who didnāt exactly look impressed. Ā "I really am sorry. Ā Iāll call someone in the morning and get it fixed. Ā Promise."Ā
"I donāt care about the wall," Derek rolled his eyes. Ā "What if it had worked on you? Do you even know where the bricks went? Where you would have gone? And what if it only relocated part of you?"
"That depends. Which part?" Stiles asked half terrified, half intrigued.
"Stiles," Derek sighed looking pained. "Justā¦try to be more careful in the Ā future." Ā
"Uh, yeah sure," Stiles nodded and Derekās shoulders relaxed just a bit. Ā
"I never really liked that wall anyway," Ā Derek offered.
"I could get rid of the rest of it for you," Stiles moved back toward the wall.
"No!" Derek and Peter called out and Derek reached out and grabbed Stilesā wrist. Ā "Itās fine. Ā We can just call someone in the morning." Ā
Sterek au in which Derek is a fisherman that pulls a drowning Stiles onto his boat, only Stiles may have a secret that involves fins and a tail.
Excess of Liberty by imthealphanow
In a society where Weres dominate and humans are usually enslaved, Stiles Stilinski is bought as a birthday present. Derek Hale is a reclusive author who is part of one of the most well respected families within Beacon Hills, and is also the resident Alpha, following the death of his family. āExcess of liberty, whether it lies in state or individuals seems only to pass into excess of slavery.ā - Plato, The Republic.Ā
Full Moon Rage
The barrier between him and Stiles was really pissing off. He knew he couldnāt pass through it, so, he was just on the outside looking in on his prey. He let out a loud Alpha roar for the second time of the night. His humanity fell all the way to the back-burner. Now, the inner wolf he kept under control for most of the time was let loose and itās hunger was going to get filled one way or another. Since he couldnāt get to Stiles, he was going to go after another target. He went down to all fours and began running through the forest.
As soon as Scott was gone, Stiles started counting.Ā 1...2...3...4...5...Ā He focused on keeping the wards up, sending out a mass text to the McCall Pack.Ā 16...17...18...19...20...Ā The wards dropped and Stiles grabbed his bag, tossing his spellbook into it and breaking his circle. He hoped Scott was far away enough that he could make it back home to collect his more offensive spells and go out and track him before he hurt anybody. He also hoped the rest of the pack would be able to find him and restrain him. Something. Scott would not be able to handle innocent blood on his hands.Ā
Full Moon Rage
The closer he got to the smell, the more he recognized it. At first, he thought it was something evil trying to perform some kind of ritual. The last thing they needed in this town was some kind of evil wizard terrorizing it. He soon got his mind off of that and recognized the smell as Stilesā. He didnāt know why he was out in the forest like this. He knew the dangers of being out on a full moon. He came upon his best friend and immediately noticed the warding symbols. His inner wolf wanted to break through and get to the fresh meat, but, it was impossible while the ward was up.
"Scotty," Stiles started, watching the alpha carefully. Stiles was, to put it frankly, a novice. He could keep up a ward, but how long, and to what extent? How long would Scott stick around? If he wasn't going to stick around, who might fall under the alpha's claws? "Hey, Scotty, you in there?" No. Probably not, but Stiles could talk. Boy could he talk. It was barely even midnight and the sun wasnt coming up for another five or six hours. He could talk for five or six hours, couldn't he? "Right. Don't make me hurt you, Scotty. You know I can." He put a bit more will into his ward.Ā
Full Moon Rage
There was something about tonightās full moon that was making him go crazy. As far as he knew, it was just like any other full moon. Any other full moon, he would be able to stay in control. Not even focusing on his anchor helped him any. He guessed he was just stuck like this until the morning came. After he let out his roar, he caught a difference in the air. He followed his nose and, since he was overcome by the urge to kill, it didnāt take him long to figure out what his first prey of the night was: someone practicing the art of magic. He could feel the magicianās aura filling his forest. It was definitely off-putting, but, he could only follow the trail until it led him to the source.
Mountain Ash. Stiles should have brought along mountain ash. He was strong enough to hold up a powerful barrier. Even against Scott. He hoped. He had no mountain ash to spread, however and he'd only intended to practice harmless spells. He didn't bring along anything for any stronger protection spells. He had minutes, maybe seconds before Scott found him. It was better safe than sorry. He fumbled for his chalk, drawing a circle, sealing it with a bit of will. It was simple. Just a circle with symbols to represent different powers of protection. His wards came up, a silvery blue sheen, shimmering in the moonlight.Ā
Full Moon Rage
Scott had gotten better at controlling himself during the full moon. He was at the point where he could stay in his regular form and not āwolf outā. This night, however, was going to go a whole different route. The first mistake McCall made was leaving his house the night of the latest full moon. For whatever reason, he felt himself being pulled to the forest. There was no rhyme or reason to it. He just left his house and started walking. If he wouldāve stayed inside, he couldāve avoided the āwolfing outā he was doing in the midst of his walk. By the time he got to the edge of the forest, his eyes had turned red and the anger inside of him was at an all time high. He felt the need to kill something. His breathing was heavy and he let out a loud howl. He was, officially, on the hunt now.
Stiles made a habit of traversing into the woods to practice spells under the full moon. The celestial cycle had an effect on magic and he was becoming rather well versed. Magic was different than science. It had it's own rules. Some elements of magic and science overlapped, but for the most part, it was like learning a new language. Ideas interpreted into different languages. There was no direct translation between the two, but there was a sort of correlation. Almost. Stiles had a circle drawn just to protect him from anybody coming along and something to ward the weaker minded away from the area. He had no qualms against wandering out on a full moon. Any werewolves within the area knew how to control themselves on a full moon anyway. Stiles tensed when he heard the alpha roar. So I spoke too soon. Sue me.

Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā { Soon the young girl is blushing awkwardly, and running a hand throughout those chocolate brown locks of hers }
Ā Ā Ā Ā āNo, I-I should have said something, I justā¦kind of got nervous. I suck at meeting new people. I either forget how to talk or donāt stop like I am now. Oh godā¦um, but it was just a fire manipulation spell. I shouldnāt have Iām sorry. I really didnāt think it would work, and as for killing you I would neverā¦I mean Iām not like that, I just, Iā¦ā
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā { He pauses, as if considering something before shaking his head and packing up his candles. }
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā "Don't fret, it's just a precaution. Besides, you're not really giving off a kill Stiles vibe. It's justĀ Beacon HillsĀ you know. Animals killing people left and right. So what exactly are you? Your aura isn't... witchy, but it's also not human."
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā āI-Iāve been here for a whileā¦Iā¦I was just reading this spell out. I didnāt, I mean Iām usually pretty bad at this stuff so I didnāt thinkā¦ā

Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā { Stiles should really stop talking to himself. He never really expects anybody to answer because he's alone. Who would answer? Evidently, his habit was going to be his early death. }
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā "I didn't know anybody else was here. I mean, I probably should have been more aware. Did you say you were reading a spell out? What spell? Please don't say it was a demon summoning spell. Look at that I'm talking too much again. Ignore me. Or not. Do what you want. But don't kill me. If that's what you were here to do."
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā āIā¦I didnāt mean to. Well, I mean I did butā¦I was just practicing. I didnāt think anyone was here, or⦠or that it would even work. I-I, please donāt freak out.ā
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā "Christ! Where did you come from?" Ā Ā Ā { Instinctively, he pulled up a ward. He'd gotten good at that. It appeared silvery blue and he could only see the figure through the sligth distortion in the air that magic so often caused. }
{Ā He let the ward drop between them, turning back to his candles and removing one to break the circleĀ }
Ā Ā "You're... fine, you just surprised me.Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā So... how did you do that?"
"God, heās just trying so hard to escape. He wants to save you, but Iām afraid itās a bit too late."
