McCoy was gone and that was a major bummer. Even moreso, the guy assigned to replace him apparently looked like he’d literally rolled out of bed in the school’s gym outfit and just appeared at the school. Charlie couldn’t wait to see how much trouble he could cause with this new guy. It was a comforting fact that he couldn’t be punished with too much in terms of physical activity due to medical exemptions. The one thing his asthma was good for.
“Why do you look hungover?” Charlie said it a little louder than necessary, ignoring the look from one of the other kids in the class. “You out partying on a Monday night or something?”

God, he always hated this part of being out. Deep breath, breathe. “Uhm, sir?” He was sure the teachers had been told already but he still needed to be sure. "I uh, I just started here and I’m probably on your roll call under my deadname. Gabrielle Quinn? I just, I was told there’d be a note about my name being Caden instead. It’s not legally done yet but we’re working on it.” Even though he had already done this in a few classes, it didn’t ease the anxiousness with ensuring all his teachers had the appropriate name down instead.
“I know, I know. It’s a lot little late.”

“Remember that time I made grilled cheese in class?”
@kindahategreenberg contin.
“You have the wrong number!”
"What? ⎯⎯⎯ no, Coach, I don’t! It’s Stiles, Stiles Stilinski?" Impatience tugged at the back of his mind, fueling his legs to a swift pace across locker room grounds. Yep, it was official, his life had finally taken a turn he’d never deemed feasible, for he never believed he’d be calling the one person who could possibly abhor him more than Derek Hale, for help. Indignation for necessitating Finstock at all made him feel like he’d leaped headfirst into an episode of the goddamn twilight zone, but when was his life ever normal as of late, anyhow? "⎯⎯⎯ hello? Coach, are you there?"
〖❯𝓈𝓉𝒾𝓁𝑒𝓈❮〗— “ But, coach, this is a serious question... I want to know if I’m being degraded by a jolly fat guy who’s supposed to be an idol for children. “
