Within 6 months you'll either be on 6mg or 0mg of nicotine and then the only habit left to kick is the hand to mouth motion. We make it simple and are able to explain and show you how each piece of kit works so you'll feel confident to use and maintain your new device and if you're still not comfortable then we'll help out at no extra charge. If your kit costs £26 and you buy £10 worth of liquid (30ml) it might sound bad you're spending £36 in one day but one 10ml bottle is the equivalent to 80 cigarettes and those bottles are only £4 each from our house brand. We do stock tobacco flavours but not everyone wants to be reminded of cigarettes after they quit which is why there's a large selection of other flavours to choose from. Little tips and tricks

Your tank is spitting in your mouth or gurgling a lot or leaking out of the airflow holes? Blow into the mouthpiece while holding tissue where the air gets pulled through and it juice should collect in the tissue, this should also fix leaking from the tank as well. Tank getting too hot? Try turning the wattage down? Burning taste? Most people will tell you to change the coil, however sometimes it can be your device showing the wrong resistance. Take the tank off your device and press the fire button then screw the tank back on and it should ask if it's a new coil, press yes. If that doesn't work then try turning your wattage down. (Worth mentioning that once a coil is burned it'll always be burned and it also reduces the coils lifespan after you've had a burned taste.

I’m sick of being nice to you idiots. if you come up to me and say anything along the lines of ‘that’s worse than smoking, they’ve got loads of chemicals in them’ or ‘look at all that smoke’, i’ll personally push your stinky little death shaft down your uneducated throat. 

if you’re going to do this to vapers, at least do your homework first, the amount of people that have come into vape shops and started ranting about the one incorrect article they’ve read is amazing. 

I respect smokers as i do normal humans, but when you start belittling something that makes someone happy or healthier, i’ll end you.

Year working in a vape shop

So I’ve been working in a vape shop for the best part of a year now.

When you’re working in this kind of industry, there’s so much innovation that happens where new products are released pretty much daily and keeping up with the new products and new parts is a challenge in itself.

Probably the best part of having a job I actually enjoy is being able to go into work and help people with quitting smoking. Almost every vaper who comes in is either a reformed smoker or they’re using vaporisers to cut down their nicotine habit.

With regards to enjoying this job, I used to suffer from depression but working in a place where I enjoy interacting with the customers because I’m passionate about the products we sell and advise people on. My job isn’t really a sales position, I’m here to help people and offer advice and support for them when they’re quitting smoking, I’m pretty sure other people who work in vape shops have a similar feel for the job we do.

The amount of different options for the devices, tanks and coils we use is pretty extreme but luckily we’re always learning new things here and trying to stay ahead of the curve.

Choosing Your First E-Cig/ Vaporizer

Choosing your first kit There is a wide range of devices to choose from which are: Starter kits If you’re new to vaping then a starter kit is a good place to start. Starter kits come with a battery, a tank and usually have a spare coil in the box. Starter kits are refillable so you don’t have to throw anything away except for the coil. Some starter kits have an adjustable airflow so you can either have a tighter drag or an airier drag. Advanced Kits Advanced kits come with a tank and can either have a built-in battery or require an 18650 battery or similar style battery/batteries. The biggest advantage of these is a higher capacity battery. They are generally capable of achieving a higher wattage output which is mainly used for devices with more powerful tanks which give more vapour production (cloud) but you can still use a less powerful tank on an advanced kit without any problems. Box Mods Box mods are similar to advanced kits except the tanks are sold separately. Box mods may have a built-in battery or they might require you to purchase batteries separately. Tanks Tanks come in a wide variety of different shapes, sizes and colours. Each tank will have a different characteristic and will give a different taste compared to another tank due to the coils you use. Sub-ohm tanks (tanks which use coils with a resistance of under 2 ohm) will be mouth to lung and are designed for thicker liquids which create more vapour/cloud. Sub-ohm tanks will require you to breathe the vapour directly to the lungs and then exhale. Tanks with a coil above 1 ohm are normally mouth to lung tanks. With a mouth to lung tank you take a drag like you would with a cigarette by holding the vapour in your mouth prior to breathing it into the lungs and exhaling. Coils The coil is the part which burns the liquid which needs replacing roughly once a month. Coils come in all shapes and sizes. You’ll know when to change coils when you get a burnt taste in your mouth which can sometimes taste slightly metallic. Mechanical Mods – (not sold here) Mechanical mods are not regulated like our starter kits, advanced kits and our box mods. Mechanical mods will take one battery or more. When using a mechanical mod you must be aware of ohm’s law and battery safety, mechanical mods don’t always have any safety mechanisms built-in so you have to be aware of your batteries amp rating and the capacity of your batteries. You must use ohms law to ensure you are not going over your battery’s amp limit and pay attention to your battery temperature when using a mechanical mod. If you go over the amp limit then your battery can vent and in some very rare circumstances they can explode. Always do your research before buying a mechanical mod and pay close attention to keeping yourself self by ensuring the wrapping on your battery is not torn or damaged. If you do use a mechanical tube mod then ensure you keep it clean by taking it apart and cleaning each different part. Also ensure your switch (on/off button) is working properly and not getting stuck. Please take your batteries out of your mechanical device when it is not in use and keep them out of sunlight and always ensure they are not near any metallic objects. Batteries are best kept inside a case.

RDA’s VS Tanks

I used to be a huge fan of tanks, I’ve had the TFV8, the Gemini from Vaporsso, and the Nautilus-X (don’t judge we all had to start somewhere).

I loved the tanks I used but then I started using an Innokin iRoar Eurus and since then I’ve hated using tanks. I now have 3 drippers and 2 RDTA’s in my collection (I made the Skyhook an RDA because the airflow is just freaking immense).

Tanks with pre-built coils just didn’t do it for me, I found that there wasn’t much customisation and neither the flavour nor the vapour really suited my style.

I’ve found with an RDA the sky is quite honestly the limit; you can build almost whatever you want. Personally I’m a cloud chaser but I do love my flavour which is definitely why I use the Skyhook to get the best of both worlds.

I’ve only just got into squonking which if you don’t like the idea of dripping is a lot easier but if you prefer using a tank with a building deck then use an RTA.

Yes building your own coil can be tricky and can take a while. In a way building coils is like playing golf, you’re always trying for that perfect swing and building coils becomes exactly like that because you’re always trying to find that perfect coil.

Sure, I’ve only been vaping for 2 years and only been building my own coils for 6 months but you can do a lot in 6 months and now I’m entering a cloud chasing competition at an expo. I don’t expect I’ll win, but I’m not entering to win, I’m just entering to see what everyone else is building.
