Referencing asoiaf.westeros.org and posts by @joannalannister and @goodqueenaly, I made a Frey family tree! Circled numbers are the line of succession as of the beginning of TWOW. Smart money’s on number 54, Big Walder, to take it all and rule House Frey when the dust settles.
The Poet With His Face in His Hands
by Mary Oliver
You want to cry aloud for your mistakes. But to tell the truth the world doesn’t need any more of that sound.
So if you’re going to do it and can’t stop yourself, if your pretty mouth can’t hold it in, at least go by yourself across
the forty fields and the forty dark inclines of rocks and water to the place where the falls are flinging out their white sheets
like crazy, and there is a cave behind all that jubilation and water fun and you can stand there, under it, and roar all you
want and nothing will be disturbed; you can drip with despair all afternoon and still, on a green branch, its wings just lightly touched
by the passing foil of the water, the thrush, puffing out its spotted breast, will sing of the perfect, stone-hard beauty of everything.
Magnet Poetry Dialogue: 12th Avenue Arts Fridge
(mystery solved)
perilously, in harmony and glorious mess
movie montage
I have worn grooves into this wet city
all the coffee shops have ghosts
rain on glass reminds me of
which reminds me of
but reminds me of
and then again also
once I thought I saw myself on tomorrow's bus, going the other way
just circling
like the moon pulls on the tide
sea of love across the sea take to the sea from sea to shining sea fire and water, sand and dirt salt on your lips salt on mine the river's eyes when it sees the ocean a bounty as boundless as the sea huge, deep, unplumbed, strange ferocious, gentle, merciless, beautiful
yonder blessed moon isn't the moonlight terrible wonderful implacable distant lovely, shining, a promise tantalizing, constant one small step o swear not by the moon, the inconstant moon the moon's like yeah I'm still here just slightly out of reach
in a tug-of-war between the sea and the moon, who wins? the moon, every time
dream: “so many moons! the world must be shrinking!” woke up to snow, like a gift
I keep trying to be reborn clean and smooth but I get stuck halfway out of the shell dragged back
there are no signs the snow isn’t a sign (are you listening over there?!)
no slow pan over the epic dance party the breathtaking landscape that tells you it’s all going to be okay
When was I last happy alone?
I want more than anything to feel contented in the small moments the quiet the small breaths between gifts
I’m bored of being sad let’s go do something else instead
and I dream
castles of dominoes but I can’t see the dots
splattered paintings with hands covering the titles
reams and reams of purple ties with blurry, swimming labels
windshield wipers that beat so loud it’s like sitting in someone’s heart,
destroying impressionist windows over and over and over
a moth drowned in a glass of bourbon
I beat on the windows of a glass hotel
hair tumbles over the bus seat in front of me
our mouths meet at clumsy corners after all that perfect imagining
