Nature is woman’s best friend,’ she often said. ‘If you’re having troubles, you just swim in the water, stretch out in a field, or look up at the stars. That’s how a woman cures her fears’.

Title Fight - Ireland
Here is the deepest secret nobody knows. Here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud And the sky of the sky of a tree called life; Which grows higher than soul can hope or mind can hide. And this is the wonder that’s keeping the stars apart. I carry your heart. I carry it in my heart.

Memorial Field - Title Fight Why not tie a noose around my neck? I’m sure it’d be much more subtle than everything that you said. I’ve played your games too many times and I’ve grown tired. Yeah, I’m tired.
Turnover | Humming
Carelessly you pass the hours, humming songs you heard when you were young … Show me why you’re always smiling, laugh again and make me fall in love

the phrase “curiosity killed the cat” is actually not the full phrase it actually is “curiosity killed the cat but satisfaction brought it back” so don’t let anyone tell you not to be a curious little baby okay go and be interested in the world uwu

Blood is thicker than water The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb.
Meaning that relationships formed by choice are stronger than those formed by birth.
Let’s not forget that “Jack of all trades, master of none” ends with “But better than a master of one.”
It means that being equally good/average at everything is much better than being perfect at one thing and sucking at everything else. So don’t worry if you’re not perfect at something you do! Being okay is better!
These made me feel better
Also, “great minds think alike” ends with “but fools rarely differ”
It goes to show that conformity isn’t always a good thing. And that just because more than one person has the same idea, doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a good idea.
what the fuck why haven’t i heard the full version to any of these
“Birds of a feather flock together” ends with “until the cat comes.”
It’s actually a warning about fair-weather friends, not an assessment of how complementary people are.
I’ve always felt like these were cut down on purpose.
I really like these phrases and plan on spreading this knowledge.
The early bird catches the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese.
I want to make designs out of these.
Funny how all the half-finished ones encourage uniformity and upholding the status-quo, while the complete proverbs encourage like…living exciting, eclectic lives driven by choice and personal passion.
Okay but also my pet peeve is “not all who wander are lost” is not a quote about people wandering and wanderlust and not being lost. It was a warning about how the spies of evil may just look like lost wanderers but they are there with evil purpose. Trust no one basically so.
America, Fight Your Demons
I spent a great deal of time on this one, and ultimately I’m proud of the result. This was originally just a class assignment for my Western Philosophy class, but given the upsetting turn of events we’ve seen in US politics over the past few days and my own personal feelings on the subject, it turned into something more cathartic.
The piece is based on John Locke’s principal, The Right of Revolution, which states that all free people have the right to challenge any government or government figure who poses a threat to their lives, their rights, and their freedom. The beastly figures sided with Trump are meant to symbolize the various social and political plagues that make life so horrific for so many. They are America’s Demons: racism, sexism, bigotry, religious discrimination, corruption, greed, the abuse of power, etc. As Americans, it is our duty to fight them.
