Colors of Sunset by Dmitry Kupratsevich
The Mystical Forest
things that made me stop wanting to die that require no effort whatsoever
change the color used to highlight text on your laptop
move the pictures on your wall
stack whatever clutter is in your room into piles even if you don’t have time to clean it all
slightly vary your commute, even just by one street
change where you sit and scroll aimlessly on your phone even if it’s only to the chair in your room instead of your bed
drink water or juice out of a wine glass in the morning because nothing is real
shower with the lights off, without music
buy $3 flowers at trader joe’s—they look bad next to the more expensive ones but they look so good in your room
start typing things you don’t post into your notes. your thoughts can be worth documenting even if you don’t deem them worth sharing
wake up super early just once. you don’t have to make it a habit it’s just extra satisfying to go to bed that night
listen to the entirety of your favorite album from 2015
Almost all of these are about variety. Humans need stimulation! We need enrichment! We literally cannot do the same thing every day!
The other day I was feeling miserable, so I hopped on a bus and rode it all the way back to where I’d started, and my brain, which had finally had some proper stimulation via new environments, was suddenly ready to go again!
This is why taking walks/drives and trying new hobbies are good for you! Don’t turn yourself into a sad zoo animal! You need some pumpkins to roll around in your enclosure!

The Milky Way galaxy rises over Mount Hood on a quiet, peaceful night. Bonus points if you can spot the international space station gliding through the sky! ⠀
Golden hour baby.
Get a pot (cast iron), walk to where you can’t call or text, do the thing and have fun. Nature yourself lol
small soft ways to revive yourself this summer:
hike a trail you’ve never done before.
wear flowy clothes and swish the fabric around your body
buy yourself a bouquet of the nicest-smelling flowers you can find, or pick some from your garden. put them in a pretty vase or cup and keep them near you so that you can smell them.
lie down in the grass, on the beach, in nature. relax.
read a non-school book of your favorite genre. read it slowly and take the time to enjoy it.
use!! exclamation points!! i promise!! they’ll make you!! feel better!!
bake cookies. sit in the kitchen while they bake and smell the baking-cookie smell. eat them while they’re warm and soft.
pet and/or cuddle a puppy, kitten, bunny, or other soft animal (bonus points if you cuddle multiple!).

Candy floss skies~ How beautiful was this at the back of my house tonight
saying or doing unexpectedly kind things to/for someone is such a powerful way to live. you never know how your interaction with another person might affect their day! your small bit of kindness can go a long way for someone else. if you have the time or the energy, please always strive to be kind to those around you, as they may really, really need it… remember that your actions could leave a lasting mark on someone’s heart
Note to self: Find the things that bring you joy. Then do them. • For me, that means waking up earlier, watching sunrise, exercising in the morning - getting my sweat on, fuelling my body with vibrant, healthy goodness, exploring by foot, getting outdoors, smiling at strangers, making other people feel good and happy, staying active, being by the ocean, surfing and getting salty, soaking up sunshine, meeting new people, yoga, getting up side down at least once a day, evening strolls, people watching, productivity, writing, reading, ticking things off a “to do” list, watching a sunset, trying something new, hot cups of herbal tea, playing with dogs, learning from the curious minds of children and smiling in general. These are the things that make me feel truly ALIVE. Therefore, I plan on doing more of them 🤗 (at Venice, California)
