“Querido Sobral, Deus deve estar louco, só pode! Ou talvez seja mesmo pelo facto de ter sido dia 13 de maio e o Papa ter estado em Portugal. Talvez tenha intercedido por nós, quem sabe? Hoje foi dia de história! Citando António Costa, “Fez-se história em português hoje na Eurovisão!” Ainda á um ano apresentavas o “Excuse me” e assim pedias autorização para entrar no panorama musical português. Hoje és o “herói” do panorama musical mundial, a Eurovisão é tua e os corações de todo o mundo também! E nem foi preciso pedir “com licença”, ganhas-te por mérito próprio, simples e genuíno, a tua voz e o teu sentir, e todos nós aqui derretidos, a esperança a aumentar. Há tantas coisas para agradecer que provavelmente tudo que se faça fica com significado tangente. Obrigado por nos lembrares do povo que somos, de nos unires. Obrigado por trazeres a verdadeira musica à Europa e os fazeres pensar, gosto de acreditar que começas-te uma nova era Eurovisiva. Obrigado por trazeres a taça, após 49 anos de participações.
