Anybody else constantly struggling whether to call the robot cars transformers or cybertronians in conversation?

Because on one hand they are an alien species with a specific name. And in the context of most conversations it makes sense to call them cybertronians.

But on the other hand it feels so pretentious. Like if I were to ask someone who their favourite transformers character is I’m going to phrase it exactly like that. Asking “who’s your favourite cybertronian character” just sounds like I’m trying to look smart.

But I’m not sure where that ends and the other begins. When is it silly to call them transformers instead of cybertronians? Is it ever silly to do that?

I do not know about the rest of you guys but I have started to really enjoyed " Transformers: Rescue Bots" I think the story is really good and it gives us a new type of autobots that don't necessarly have to be warriors. I say this because through this franchise and different incarnations of the characters, the pattern has always been the same in showcasing warriors/soldiers as heroes. This franchise really introduces the topic that you do not need to be a soldier or have a warrior classification to be a hero. Also this kind off introduces what other jobs cybertronians did before the war broke out. I feel that the rescue bots bring something completely new that seperates itself from the typical plot line of autobots vs decepticon war. I have been thinking in writing a story of this franchise and with the events of darkmount in TFP where the autobot base was destroyed. Optimus sends his team to Griffin Rock to stay with the rescue team and protect them in case the decepticons discover their location. How will Team Prime react to the Rescue team? How will the rescue team react towards them? I have in mind in making the rescue bot insignia the origin in where the autobot insignia came into existence when Optimus formed the Autobot faction in response to the Decepticons. What do you guys think of this idea?
