Meet Rosa J. Li also known as The Princess. She is a thirty-year-old resident here in Key west. You can usually find her at Sin7 Casino where she is a Performer & Choreographer. We hear she is Spirited but also Impetuous.

This Pogue’s Story

Rosa comes from a rich family in Miami. Her father is the CEO of a local banking firm, and her mother was a writer. Her mother died when Rosa was an adolescent, leaving her quite angry. It was not long before Rosa began acting out, and eventually she ended up married to a gang member. However, he was mean to Rosa and physically violent toward her, often accusing her of cheating on him because of her beautiful looks. Growing tired of her husband’s continuous abuse, Rosa ends up cheating on him and drives the person she is cheating on him with into killing her husband for her. Rosa is finally free, and she flees her home without a word, leaving her murderous ex-lover to deal with the crime of murder they committed on her behalf. Starting over in Key West, Rosa gets a job at the Sin7 Casino as a dance instructor, eventually becoming the main performer. She poses as a pogue in her new life, in order to keep a low profile from the people who might try to track her down.

Meet Zavier Kwon also known as The Timebomb. He is a thirty-year-old resident here in Key west. You can usually find him at Club spade where he is the owner. We hear he is Tenacious but also Vindictive.

This Pogue’s Story

Zavier Guerra was born in Miami, Florida, to his mother of Korean descent and father of Cuban descent. He was instantly thrust into a tumultuous home life, his father heavily involved in drug dealing and gang activity, while his mother tried against all odds to deal with his temperament and maintain stability for their young son. Eventually, due to a combination of stress and illness, Zavier’s mom passed away when he was ten years old, and he was left to the sole care of his father. Victor Guerra was by no means a perfect father, and decided bringing his young son into the dangerous life he led was the best way to prepare him and ultimately keep him safe.

 Zavier was selling drugs on the streets of Miami by the time he was thirteen, and proved himself to be brave and capable not just to his father, but the leader of the crew as well, whom everyone simply referred to as El Tio. When his father was murdered during a job gone wrong when Zavier was only 15, he worked even harder to prove himself a valuable asset to El Tio in order to stay within the gang, now that he was without family or any place to go. The older he got, the deeper involved with the gang he became, until El Tio was calling on Zavier (who adopted the nickname Tazza) for the high-profile jobs, developing an intimate trust with the young man to the point where he had become like an adoptive father.

 When he reached his twenties, Zavier came into his own and became quite arrogant, taking more risks and making executive decisions without El Tio’s acknowledgement. Eventually, he overstepped one too many times, and when the boss was fed up with his behavior, sent a hitman to get rid of him. This was how Zavier found himself with three bullets in his gut, bleeding out on the pavement below him outside his apartment in Little Havana. Through sheer luck or sheer force of will, Zavier managed to survive, but didn’t miss out on the opportunity provided to him; Tazza had to die. So, he left Miami that night, bleeding but still breathing, going so far as to pay off the necessary people to report his death on the streets of Little Havana that night. He started using his mother’s surname, Kwon, and created a new identity for himself in the Florida Keys, where he opened a tiny dive bar to serve mostly as a cover for the less-than-legal businesses he runs on the side. Though it’s been four years since his so-called death, his ultimate goal remains to get revenge on the ones who betrayed him, even if it kills him in the process

Meet Matteo Delgado also known as The Sinner. He is a thirty-two-year-old resident here in Key west. You can usually find him at Devils playground where he is the owner. We hear he is Charming but also Sadistic.

This Kook’s Story

Matteo Delgado is the eldest of eight. He was lucky enough to have three other brothers, and four younger sisters, but that didn't stop him from being cruel to any of them. He wasn't one to take anyone’s bullshit. Even his best friend Raoul knew how he could be. The two had been friends since they were younger, and considered each other family, just as both their families considered them each part of their families. Eventually the two got into the Mexican Cartel together, but Matteo was better at what he did for them. Selling, running the drugs and conserving the money he made. He was smart when it came to these things. It didn't take him long to see the resentment in his best friends eyes towards him. It was hurtful, but he wouldn't let that affect him.

 It wasn't until they were in deep enough that Matteo had the pleasure, and first real taste of murder because someone had stiffed him during a deal. It became a part of his everyday life with the Cartel. By this time, his reputation for beating women, raping them, and killing had gotten around, but nobody could ever prove it. They were either terrified of the man, or came up missing. The day came when he had to do the unthinkable. He had to kill the man his considered his best friend, Raoul. It had only been a matter of time before it came to it as Raoul was using more than he was selling, so it was his job to kill him. He slit his throat from ear to ear. It was the most heartbreaking thing he'd ever done, but he had to keep his ice-cold persona up.

 Thanks to a leak in the police station he was alerted that he'd been ratted out, but before he could even be arrested, it was blown up. He was thankful for that, but it was put on his shoulders to find the one who ratted him out, and kill them. He knew that nobody outside of that house knew what happened, but someone had to of been inside. And the only name that came to him was, Kitana. Raoul's sister. Someone Matteo had been close to, and considered her to even be family of his own. He didn't know the truth on how she knew, but it was his job to end her life, and so he was sent off to the US.

 After being there for a while he established himself well. He opened up Devils Playground Night Club under an assumed name because he didn't want to frighten Kitana off. He knew he'd been hiding close by for months, but he wasn't ready to strike yet. And it was rare for anyone to actually see him outside of the club unless he wanted to be seen. With a few connections, he established residency without a problem. It made life a little easier on him, especially since he used his Night Club as a cover for the drug smuggling, he was doing for the Mexican Cartel still. The money, the drugs, and the women. It was a life he was enjoying, even if it meant enjoying it while someone else's life ended by his own hand.

Meet Grace Hexley known as The Moonchild. She is a twenty-four-year-old resident here in Key west. You can usually find her at Kitty Paws where she owns her own escort. We hear she is Intelligence but also Over thinks.

This Kook’s story

Grace was born into a very wealthy family. Though when she was very young both of her parents were murdered in a robbery. Grace witnessed their murders. She was taken in by her uncle who was an abusive asshole to her. He would go out and get drunk only to come home and do unspeakable things to her. When she was fifteen, she attempted to get away from him and he broke her leg which ruined her dreams of dancing because she had to have a metal rod implanted. When she was finally old enough to leave her uncles home and get her inheritance, she used it to open her own escort business. She has employed a few call girls and even a couple of guys for the ladies who want a male companion for the day.

Meet Andrew Jefferson also known as The Bright One. He is a twenty-eight-year-old resident here in Key west. You can usually find at powerhouse designs where he is the owner and lead Architect. We hear he is Smart but also Dishonest.

This Kook’s story

Andrew had always had it easy growing up. His father and mother both being Doctors made them well set. His parents never acted "Rich" though. They always looked at everyone as equals. Didn't send him to any special schools or anything, they always knew that Andrew would do well wherever he went to school. He went to a normal public school in New York, near where they lived. That was where he met his best friend Svana. He thought of her as his little sister, would always protect her, so when she needed an out later on in life, he helped her out. Wanting to expand his business now, and missing his best friend, he decided to also move to Florida. He wanted a fresh start in life, and that's just what he was going to have. Opening his own business called "Powerhouse Designs."

Meet Kitana Garcia known as The Illegal Immigrant. She is a twenty-seven-year-old resident here in Key west. You can usually find her at Luis’s Diner where she is a waitress. We hear she is Loyal but also Hot tempered.

This Pogue’s story

Kitana was born and raised in Monterrey, Mexico. She is the youngest of six children and she was completely unplanned. Being the only girl in a family full of boys, Kitana would use it to her advantage to get what she wanted. In turn, she grew up to be a spoiled little brat. Her attitude only got worse as she hit her teen years. She fell in with the wrong crowd of girls and they introduced her to prostitution at a young age. With the body she had, why not? She was never ashamed of herself and it was a quick and easy way to make money. Plus, she loved sex. However, her perspective changed when she saw one of her good friends being beaten out in public until the point of near death by her pimp. She decided then to leave that life behind. The older she got, the more she mellowed out and decided to straighten up her life. She would do cleaning jobs with her mother to help pay the bills, but when her brother was murdered, everything in her life changed. She fled to America and stayed with Luis, a good friend of her father’s who owned a diner and he helped her get on her feet. Kitana still hasn’t established legal residency in the United States. Part of her is waiting because she knows if she becomes legal then it would be that much easier for the men who murdered her brother to find her and carry out the same revenge. Just another day in the fun-filled life of Kitana Garcia.

Meet Beckett Cormac also known as The Gunner. He is a twenty-five-year-old resident here in Key west. You can usually find at elite ink where he is the owner. We hear he is Hardworking but also Stubborn.

This Pogue’s Story

Beckett was born and raised in Los Angeles, California he was a kid with some talent. He got really into drawing at a young age sometimes even getting into trouble for drawing in his classes. However, things changed when he got into high school getting into the wrong crowds along with drugs and alcohol. It got to the point he started getting into fights and eventually getting kicked out of school. Unable to control his antics he was sent to live with his grandparents who were known to strict. His parents hoped that sending him to his grandparents in Florida. It helped in a way got him to focus once more this time on drawing which he went to community college for Business which eventually with his grandfather’s help he was able to open up his own small shop which he called Elite Ink. Even though he has a small shop, he’s good at what he does and he’s starting to become well known around the South Side, however his past is slowly catching up to him now that a few of his friends had moved to Florida. Now, they’re trying to suck him back into his old ways

This Kook’s Story

April 22, 1990. That’s when a little boy who would be named Carter Sinclair entered the world. Born to Jeffrey and Elizabeth Sinclair, the blonde-haired blue-eyed baby would be moved around from place to place as he grew. For the most part he had a great life, until he saw things that would change his entire existence and happy life. His parents fought quite a bit and sometimes there would be a fist fight that would break out. He soon grew to hate both mother and father and it didn’t take long until his mother left both his father and him when he was only six years old. There was a period of time when he hated anything and everything and eventually would be his downfall. Carter was raised by two parents who weren’t really into becoming parents. His mother left him at the age of six years old and all Carter saw was the back of his mom as she walked out the door. There was no goodbye or anything and the look that he saw from his father, Carter knew that his dad blamed him for his wife leaving. The fighting had gotten much worse and even at a young age, he received such bad beatings the hospital was used to seeing him on what seemed like a daily basis. Learning how to deal drugs the blonde had been relocated to Cleveland when his mom walked out and eventually after high school, he found his way to Florida. Growing up at such a fast pace, he soon learned to get his career off of the ground no matter what he had to do. Eventually it would pay off and now he never stops getting that work done, by always staying one step ahead of the other artists in the music industry. when he relocated to Florida, he wasn't sure he'd be able to make it because he doubted himself so much. Most people that he knew thought that it was a hell of a life that he lived, when in reality it wasn't half of what it was cracked up to be. His career is better than it had ever been and with spending time with his daughter, Carter is in the works of opening his own coffee shop, The 27 Club. The only question that remains is can he keep his demons at bay or would he really be selling tickets to his own downfall?

Meet Svana Bawden known as The Photographer. She is a twenty-four-year-old resident here in Key west. You can usually find her at… well everywhere as she is a freelance photographer and graphic designer. We hear she is Outgoing but also Cynical.

This Pogue’s story

Svana Bawden was born in New York City to a well-to-do family. Loss of loved ones was a common occurrence since the time that Svana was born. There were complications at the time of her birth, and her mother died shortly after. She was left to be raised by her father until she was sixteen, when he had too, passed away, unexpectedly. Svana went to live with her Uncle Robert, but life under his roof was not easy for Svana. Throughout her youth, Svana’s father had spoiled her with knowledge and encouraged her artistic side, leading Svana to become a bright and talented young woman from a very early age. She was a well-accomplished student and had many prospects ahead of her before she lost her father. While this sounds all pleasant, her success over the years had made her Uncle envious that his daughter, Odile, was not as gifted or talented as Svana. Svana’s Uncle to become cruel when she went to live with him, and he would diminish any opportunities for Svana and her future. The last straw came when her Uncle intervened in a potential relationship for Svana that would have been good for her, but he used his power and manipulation so that Odile could slip her way in instead. The love story came to a tragic end when Svana’s love was found dead, and Robert and Odile claimed Svana had done it. Stripped of any potential future in New York City and needing to escape prosecution, Svana forced herself to leave the Big Apple behind. Her journey led her to Breakwater Bay to try to get as far away from her family as possible and begin anew.

Meet Nikolas Huxley also known as The Athlete. He is a twenty-five-year-old resident here in Key west. You can usually find him at Annex where he is a Fitness instructor. We hear he is Hard Working but also Guarded. 

This Pogue’s Story

Nikolas is the oldest and only surviving child of Rebecca Huxley. Growing up he learned a lot on his own on the streets of New York. His father was not part of his life at all until his mother was murdered when he was ten years old. When he was taken to his father's, he was separated from his younger brother only to meet up with him when they both entered the same gang. When they were twenty and eighteen, they both tried to leave which resulted in Mathew losing his life and Nick blaming himself for it. When he found his fiancé and brother both dead in her apartment, he also found his nephew Logan. Trying to get away nick fled and landed in Florida and struggled for two years to put himself through school and raise a child on his own. Life eventually got a little easier and he now works as an instructor at Annex, a local gym where he is said to one day take over after working there for almost 5 years now.

This Pogue’s story

December 10, 1990 Andria Yocelon Vega was born to Cuban immigrant Benita Vega and American father, Frederick Graham. Benita had been left to raise her daughter by herself. Beautiful woman but the apartment Andria lived in growing up was like a revolving door of a men who’d come and go as they pleased. They were always respectful until Andria turned fifteen and she turned into a knockout. Her moms boyfriends started hitting on her. Started out harmless but got worse over time. Four months after she turned fifteen, one of her moms boyfriends conned her into going to a party with him. Naïve as Andria was, she went with him.

There was only one problem ... The party wasn't a party at all. Andria was brought to an abandoned warehouse. Stripped of her clothes, showered and dressed again in next to nothing. She was locked in a cage and forced to perform sexual acts for web cam shows. Seven months went by and Andria was brought to work in an underground brothel for older men who had a fetish for underage girls. Another month, just a week after she turned sixteen, Andria was given to a man who claimed to be a wealthy cattle man from Texas. Once he was locked in the room with Andria, he told her he was an undercover cop.

This was her way out. She gave him all the detail he wanted, she just wanted to be free. It was the week before Christmas that the police raided the warehouse and took down the sex trafficking ring. After coming home, Andria's mom took off with some guy she had met in a bar. Andria was left to survive on her own. She quit school, already being too far behind, and picked up a job as a mechanic. This last two years before she started working as a waitress. At twenty, when her boyfriend Finn Callahan was incarcerated, she began working as a dancer at Club Spade.

Three years later, Andria found out she was pregnant. This wasn't something that she had been planning. Especially once she found out Finn lost his parole. Hell, she didn't even know she was pregnant until she was almost three weeks along. She wasn't ready for kids, she never wanted them. But she got herself clean, did all sorts of testing to ensure the baby would be okay before she even told Finn. When Finn was released from prison, Andria found out she had a brother, Sterling, and that she was inheriting part of his speakeasy, WDC. Being partners with her brother, she stepped back from stripping and switched to bartending. Only stripping when they are short staffed.

This Pogue’s Story

Finn was born in Tralee, Ireland but grew up in Belfast until he was about 7 years old. His old man picked up their family for “business” in America which landed them in the Keys. No one knew they were members of the IRA. Everything was different, and he had to learn to adjust to a different type of setting. The only thing that was familiar to him was growing up in rough neighborhoods. Finn’s father was a highly abusive man, but he was also an alcoholic with a bad smack habit, he died when Finn was 17. When he turned up dead, it was ruled as an overdose. What no one knew was that Finn injected his old man while he was passed out and watched him choke on his own bile as he ODed. When he was a teen, Finnegan was already dealing drugs, and partying it up while trying to find some sort of escape from the abuse and terrible things he was enduring. He had very few friends and mostly chose to keep to himself. His mum left town when he was 17, leaving Dinn to survive on his own. Finn was smart, but valued life in the fast lane over school. Andria? Well, their history has been intertwined quite closely since she was 16. At the age of 24 he was incarcerated for six years on possession of drugs, distribution to minors, and firing a gun at an officer. He and Andria have a young son together, being born while he was away at prison. Now he’s 33 and working part time at Inkphoria out of pleasure and hanging with the owner as he gave him a chance to make funds for his family after prison. He also works full time at Club Spade as a bouncer and deals drugs there amongst the patrons and dancers.

Meet Karoline Atkins known as The Artist. She is a twenty-six-year-old resident here in Key west. You can usually find her at Sea You on The Waterfront where she is a bartender. We hear she is Friendly but also a Stubborn.

This Pogue’s story

Life wasn't the easiest for Karoline, her mother was a drug whore and her father well he was in and out of jail a lot. Her mother had died from an overdose when she was 7 years old, she was the one to find her dead on the floor. Her father was released a few weeks after her mother's death and instantly claimed Karoline out of the foster home she was placed in. Her father tried to straighten up his life but that didn't go as well as planned, he got sucked back into the life of drugs. He ended up molesting his own child when he was high, he continued to do so till she was 12 years old. She ended up killing her father in cold blood, and she got off because they did a rape kit on her and found the evidence. Karoline was placed in the home with her aunt who was now her adopted mother. Everything changed when she moved in with her aunt and her son. She turned to drawing, video games, and anything artistic she could get involved with. She started drawing on her computer when she was 16 years old, creating different things. Karoline started a blog online when she was 17 years old for the kids who had been in an abusive relationship, abused by family, or just about anything, it was a safe place for everyone. While leaving a party when she was 22 years old, she was attacked by a man that knew her father. He beat Karoline almost to death, she ended up in a coma for a year and a half. When she woke up, she found out that man had been killed. Now Karoline is currently working at Sea You on The Waterfront as a bartender and working on becoming a model as quickly as she can as well as trying to become a famous artist.

Meet Amara Ricci also known as The Damned. She is a twenty-five-year-old resident here in Key west. You can usually find her at La Pergola where she is a waitress and co-owner. We hear she is loyal but also a stubborn.

This Pogue’s story

Amara grew up in a trailer park with her four older sisters and one younger brother alongside her Italian parents. Her father saw her as his fifth failure to get a boy and treated her like it as well. However, two years later her brother was born. The two being the youngest out of the bunch, they grew up being pretty close and made the best out of their living arrangements. Up until she was eighteen and living at home, her life seemed pretty simple but Amara liked it that way. That was until one day, her brother was kicked out and a year later, their father died in a fire in his shop. Not being able to stay there any longer, Amara packed her bags and left to go to college for Italian Studies. While she enjoyed the life, she could now live away from her family, it didn’t mean it was much better. One of her classmates had hoped to gain her attention but when it didn’t turn out the way he had anticipated, his true colours showed and he began stalking her. With no one really believing her, she was left to deal with it all on her own but was yet unable to. After a car accident however, Amara knew she had to leave and moved to Key West for a fresh start and stay under the radar, afraid her stalker might return if he knew her whereabouts.

Meet Emily Chambers also known as The Wild. She is a twenty-five-year-old resident here in Key west. You can usually find her at Inkphoria where she is a Piercer and co-owner. We hear she is loyal but also secretive.

This Pogue’s story

Emily had bounced around most of her young adult life. She thought moving to America with her ex would be a dream come true, it was nothing but a nightmare. Ryan and Emily had fallen into a life fueled with drugs, drink, and crime. Things had grown too much for the young girl so she did something unspeakable. She helped another junkie overdose and used her to fake her death. Emily went on the run, bouncing from state to state until she blew through Denver. She had thought it was a safe spot to lay low, but once she grew comfortable, the letters started. Terrified that she was finally found, she packed up her belongings and fled to Florida, settling down in the South Key, opening up the tattoo parlor Inkphoria with her best friend Nash. Working there as a body piercer, she tries her best to keep her head down and to stay out of trouble, but knowing her trouble is never too far away.

Meet Noah ”Nash” Asher also known as The Numb. He is a twenty-seven-year-old resident here in Key west. You can usually find him at Inkphoria where he is a co-owner and tattoo artist. We hear he is honest but also emotional.

This Pogue’s Story

Dysfunction and abuse are the only means of survival Noah Asher has known. His father disappeared long before he was born leaving him in the unprepared hands of a heartbroken, teenage mother. The entire city of Chicago played a role in raising Noah from the generous men who stuffed money in his mother's bra to the police department who offered him pen and paper each time his mother inevitably ended up at the station. His idea of a nice afternoon was sitting in the passenger seat of a parked car, eating an ice cream cone from McDonald’s as he listened to the FM radio... while his mom worked from the back seat. The streets were no place for a child but Nash had no choice. He spent his teenage years pushing drugs for a gang earning himself and his mother protection until age twenty-one when he chose to be jumped out in exchange for his freedom. He has since developed a bad habit of running from his problems which is what lured him to the Keys where he can hop from island to island.

Meet Sterling Graham also known as The Convict. He is a twenty-eight-year-old resident here in Key west. You can usually find him at WDC Speak Easy where he is the owner. We hear he is Protective but also Vengeful.

This Kook’s Story

Sterling is from a wealthy family with old money in Boston. Anything he asked for growing up he got without a second thought. When he was eighteen, he brought up the idea of the army to his parents and his crooked father didn’t agree and forbid him to join. Sterling being the rebel he did anyways becoming an Engineer. While on tour he found out from a friend that his GF at the time was sleeping around but when he came home, he found her in bed with his father. It was then that Sterling killed his father while he was on a business trip as his mother was told. During the reading of the will he learned he inherited everything his mother didn’t, and his father had split his money and properties between him and his mother leaving his speakeasy to Sterling. Sterling has just been released from jail after two years and is now living and soaking up life in sunny Florida in hopes of a better life.
