anything else:
Florence grew up in Connecticut in a pretty wealthy family. Her father a surgeon, her mother a writer. Art was always encouraged in their household. Due to her affluent roots she was given many opportunities that other kids her age did not have.
Was always interested in the performing arts. She would always put on little plays with her cousins at family gatherings for the adults to watch. Her parents noticed this and made sure to foster this interest.
In school Florence took up drama club, and even performed in plays and musicals outside of her school’s drama club.
Florence would eventually would go to college in New York City at NYU for musical theatre.
After graduation in 2013 Florence made her Off-Broadway debut in Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812 where she played Natasha.
A few years later she found herself involved with the 2015 production of Hamilton where she played Elizabeth Schuyler. She had no idea how big of hit this show would be. When the show moved to Broadway that was her Broadway debut.
After her time with Hamilton was done she was the titular role in Amelie the Musical. The show didn’t last as long on Broadway, however she loved every minute of the quirky little show.
She moved to Los Angeles where she took up a few roles in television and films.
She misses New York a lot, but she is making the moves she wants in her career, and LA allows her to do that. Maybe one day she’ll make it back to New York, but for now LA is home.
