Welcome to my junkpile of Banslop. This is my GOBB sideblog, which I've created in order to save my normal friends from having to see this weirdness.

Things To Know:

I am Old. Much too old for this, really. This should be my child's fandom, not mine (I don't have a child, or want one, but you know, age-wise). If you don't feel comfortable interacting with someone 30+, don't follow.

I am a writer. I may do a few little doodles once a while, just for fun, but don't expect art from me.

While I will not post anything nsfw here, I do write nsfw content on the side under a different name. Don't follow if that makes you uncomfortable (just the fact that I'm someone who writes it).

While I honestly enjoy pretty much all of the characters, Syringeon and Stinger Flynn are my big faves (separately, not as a pairing...that would be strange), so you'll see them the most.

Yeah, okay, I'll own up to this one now. My weird-ass original-ified Bloodyneedle...

In retrospect, this was just sort of an experiment before I came to terms with myself and allowed myself to write about the freaky clay abominations.

I still enjoy some of the "Ichorian" designs I came up with in my head, though, and wish I was artsy enough to draw them.

Found a really nice dress at the thrift store to make a cute Stinger Flynn gijinka cosplay with..........kinda want to do it for colossalcon east......

Also, I've been having a heck of a time finding a plushie of him (a *legit* one, I'm not supporting bootleggers). Once again, I am too late to go buy my silly guys at the store.

Something hit me really hard recently about this screen.

I watch various Let's Plays of something when I enjoy it, so I've seen this opening to Banban 0 at least three times before. But this was the first time I stopped and thought about it.

In 0, we're playing as Flumbo--definitely not the same as the "parent looking for their missing child". And the text is different from the main series--"looking to save their child". So who, if not us, in Banban 0, is "a parent looking to save their child" for which "time is a delicate matter"?

It's Syringeon.

This line, paired with the image depicting how he's going against the rest of facility's wishes to repurpose Banban, made me suddenly realize it.

Yes, he's a piece of shit, and his methods of "saving" his child involve disposing of another innocent child, but I believe this proves that he actually did care for Banban like a son. Even if he'd never admit it. Even if he doesn't even realize it himself.

I just had a fun gobb related dream last night :

(You know it's bad when they start appearing in your dreams)

It was some sort of GoBB themed building/colony game where all the cases were their own species, like there was a village of Nabnabs exc. And the goal was to build up your own base while recruiting the guys to come live with you and help build.

You'd have to help defend a village from being raided, and then five of that particular species would join your base. And the different species would have different abilities.

There was a Banban village, and they had a little dialouge box saying "We're the Banbans and we love to dig in the ground! We'll dig up materials and items and sometimes even money!!" (Don't ask me why Banban had a digging ability, it's what my brain just randomly decided)

There were also the Nabnabs, who would help defend your own base from outside attacks. And the Syringeons who "loved to tinker" and would craft things for you.

My unconscious even made up my own random OC, some sort of lion-bee hybrids that would produce honey for you and also help scare off intruders.

The whole game had a kind of a Lego-ish look to it, the little guys would hop around like plastic figurines.

The trailer for the game showed a big carnival/theme park base, and a single Stinger Flynn was selling things at a stall. Were the Stinger Flynns salesmen? I can't imagine they'd be great at it, lol.

But anyway, when I woke up I was like "darn, that was pretty cool, I could see that as one of those partner project spinoffs." Lol, someone make this fangame.

A Case of "Personhood"

The first chapter of my AU fanfic about juvenile Syringeon is out.

Just what if someone had been there...if someone at the facility had been there to look after little Case Four's mental well-being? A child psychologist hired for the kindergarten turns her focus towards the young "living mascot" and becomes his dedicated therapist.

Lots of fun and painful headcanons ahead. I'm fascinated by imagining him as a little guy. ^^
