and since that role is inextricably tied to lup i think frances takes lup's place as the one who fucking dies. which feels almost fitting with how her dialogue was cut from season 3. she was technically here the whole time, but like. was she really? most of the story she's fighting to get anyone to realize she's there at all.
that makes billie barry, the lover, the one who's trying so hard to communicate what's going on but just keeps getting lost in translation
