Musician Alan Wilder’s "brutally contemporary" Hover Bed looks like something out of a low-budget, sci-fi fantasy (Red Dwarf, perhaps, or Blake’s Seven). "What I look for in a bed," says the former member of pop group Depeche Mode, "is sleep, sex and aesthetics - the bed has to look good." He and partner Hepzibah Sessa snooze under a rubberised duvet, framed by polished aluminium panels, their heads resting on neoprene.

But nobody offers anything quite like Alan Wilder's low-rise Hover Bed - a one-off, designed by Russell Bagley of Box Products. The starting point was a king-size orthopaedic mattress that slots into the aluminium frame. The rubbery cotton duvet was designed to fit the bed exactly. "An overlapping duvet ruins the aesthetic," says Wilder, who now writes and produces music. There is no denying that the Hover has a striking aesthetic, but both bed partners admit that it's not the most comfortable of things to sleep in - especially if daughter Paris is around. "If you extend your leg beyond the duvet, you tend to hit cold metal," explains Wilder.

omggg the james spader thing was just recent actually (january is recent to me ahdmshsksh). and for his films i've only watched 7 atp (IM SLOW) but i love secretary; sex, lies, and videotape; and crash the most <3 which is basic but that's how it is.......... mannequin is a guilty pleasure too im sorry he's so funny in it 😭

i only just became a fan in late july but i had a massive film marathon of his, so i've seen 21/48 so far!! my fave is secretary, ik it's basic but she's just my favourite film in general now too <3

jack's back, white palace (if you haven't seen it yet you MUST), and the others you listed are my tops from him !

there are most certainly some awful ones in his filmog, but he does kind of make it worth it x

I originally made this pins for my own jacket decorations. Looking for designs that not necessarily seen anywhere or at least not as expensive..It just so happens that when making these pins, there are quite a number of spares so if anyone want they can get it from here.. plus I feel like Black Celebration trinkets are slightly underrated compared to something like Violator.

"In early 1986, I was approached by a publisher to take pictures of Depeche Mode with a view to doing a book on the band. In April that year, I joined their "Black Celebration” tour; meeting up with the band at the Oxford New Theatre and then Brighton Centre. I later rejoined them on their tour bus for the Birmingham NEC and London Wembley Empire Pool shows where I found out that the publisher had gone bankrupt and, as a result, the book project was cancelled. Considering how private Depeche Mode are, during the short period of time I spent with them they were extremely accommodating and friendly and I thank them for allowing me access." - Andre Csillag.
