I've made another drawing, and it's about Pink again! Told you guys I love her a lot.
This is a draft for my drawing. As you can see, it was originally meant to feature both Pink's body and ghost, doing some rather bizarre poses.
This is a more completed draft of my drawing, with the clothing roughly drawn on.
Unfortunately, the body's extravagant hair will block the ghost's face, which is something I quite like, so I have to remove her from the foreground. Obviously I did not think this through when I was making the draft....
I also planned to do some more stuff with the explosion at the back, like showing the three heroes being blown away, but oh well.
As much as I love Pink, I have decided I won't draw her forever. My next work should feature some different stuff.
Perhaps it can be about the seven flowers, perhaps it can be about another franchise. Uee hee hee, who knows, who knows?
Until the day we meet again, it will be farewell for now.

It's been a while since I've drawn anything, but I'm back!
Compared to how I do my other drawings, this here is more of a practice, a recap of my long-forgotten skills.
I am quite satisfied with my work, which is a good sign for a man who haven't touched his pencil in months. (Ha! I'm still worthy!)
I am a fan of Pink. I was captivated by her the moment I saw her in Deltarune Chapter 5.
While contemplating about resuming my drawing practices, I quickly realized this cat lady (and her ghost) have unlimited potential for artistic inspirations.
I already have several ideas of what to do with her, but let's stick to what I have now.
I tried to practice my facial expressions, so for some reason, I drew Pink in "pure, utter disgust", like she just caught you red-handed flirting with other enemies. What's wrong with me, I wonder....
I also tried to be more consistent with the shadows, and I realized what a tremendous task that was. Optics is a bitch.
Just like fighting secret bosses, drawing stuff can be very difficult.
The patterns may be complex, but as you get exposed to them time after time, you will start sorting them out and learn to deal with them.
When you can deal with every single part with little to no problem, congratulations, you did it! You may now relish in the joy of conquering a challenge, until you get stumped by the next one. Such is life.

Finally, the long saga of shadow crystal collection is drawing to an end.
In the field of pink and gold, a final foe awaits.
Are you ready to take on this challenge?
As you explore the dark world, you may find a strange currency, known as a "pink coin".
These shiny trinkets may appear useless, but at the shop in the Cliffs area, a mysterious key can be purchased for 10 of them.
At the top of the castle, there is a strange, rose-colored door that can be unlocked with the key. Enter the door, turn right, and enjoy your secret bossfight!
It's funny how the fandom have all those trigger words: "Puppet/Cat", "Pink and Gold", "Friend inside me", etc. and not a single soul thought Mad Mew Mew will satisfy all of these. But she is back, in all her glory.
Just like almost all her predecessors, Pink also wields a special soul mode, which is, unfortunately, not the pink soul. Some damn bug gave her the wrong tea, turning you purple instead!
Aside from the special soul mode, Pink's battle has another special gimmick: TP reduction! At the start of each phase, our maximum TP is capped at a measly amount of 8, but we can increase that count by certain ACTs or collecting pink hearts that appears with the attacks. The hearts also provides some healing to the party as well!
Pink cannot be beaten violently, for her battle is a dating fight! Flirt to increase the Doki meter, and a special dating sequence initiates when the bar is filled!
Pink is not a hard boss. Not to me, at least.
In my first attempt, I already pushed myself into phase 3, although an unfortunate fumble at the bomb attack section spelled the end of me.
In my second attempt, I cleared phase 3 without much trouble, only to die at the following date sequence. Yes, these parts can kill you.
In my third attempt, I finally won by the skin of my teeth, but hey, I'll take it.
Of course, she gave me a fair share of trouble, but such is what I would expect from a shadow crystal boss. Compared to the sheer terror I felt when first facing a certain Knight, Pink seemed rather tame to me.
From my personal experiences, I can share my own tips and tricks on how to survive this battle:
Firstly, although it's good to collect the pink hearts, you don't need to go out of your way for it, especially if you really struggled with this fight. Each heart only provides a mere 1 HP to your party members, while getting hit by even a single bullet will deal 132 base damage! It's simply not worth it to get hit for one of those!
If you desperately need to raise your TP cap, Ralsei's "LovelyBoy" act can raise it by 14, for absolutely free!
Therefore, for each phase, Use Ralsei's act to raise the TP cap, and have Kris and Susie flirt to bump up the Doki meter (the natural TP gain from the hearts and the grazing should be just enough). Once you raised the TP cap high enough, save up loads of TP for Kris's MegaFlirtX/GigaFlirt acts to start the dating sequence in one fell swoop.
My second advice will be to "take your time". Just like the Hammer of Justice, most of Pink's attacks are completely scripted. That is, if you can memorize when and where you make your movements, you can cheese through these patterns with ease! So if you feel unsure about entering the next phase, you can just stall in this phase to heal up, using the repeated attacks and raised TP bar to your advantage. Feel free to end the phase when you've got everyone patched up, especially when ending phase 3....
Pink's battle has three phases. In each phase, she uses four main methods of attacks:
1. Standard purple soul: pink hearts and cat faces will appear from the sides, and you can jump between the strings by pressing "up" and "down".
In this mode, focus on vertical movement before horizontal movement. In later variants where bombs are added into the fray, nudge left or right when there's an opening.
2. Literally the Nintendo Switch soul: you'll either have to dodge large circular bullets on a plus-shaped grid, or play Bomberman with Miss Mew Mew on a 4*4 board.
The former one shouldn't be too hard for you. The faster variant may catch you off guard, but it's never the run-killer.
The bomb attacks though... they can be a problem. This is the one I heard everyone complaining about. However, I seldom have any trouble with them, which is a fact I'm quite proud of.
Although sometimes I would confuse my purple heart with the pink hearts spawned by the bombs. That silly mishap cost me my first run.
My strategy to these attacks is to focus on where the bombs aren't, instead of where they are. Keep your eye on your soul at all times, scan quickly for a safe spot, move there ASAP, and stay put unless you need to move again.
Also I believe the bombs have a fixed set of patterns, so if you saw a certain configuration you can immediately go to a safe spot. Just a thought.
Ironically, the "powered-up" version of these attacks, which spawns in a bunch of big bombs, is much easier than the small bomb variants. Having the detonation indicators certainly helped a lot. Just make sure don't get hit by those big ones, they HURT.
3. Cool-looking 3D cylinder soul: Like the Nintendo Switch soul, but the grid is wrapped into a tube. You have to keep pressing "up", which will move you inwards, while various obstacles block the way.
Focus on moving up before anything else, and take your time when you blocked by something. Take a deep breath and relax, panic movements are your true enemy here.
4. Normal red soul: The patterns Pink used in this mode are stronger versions of the Mad Dummy bullet attacks.
If a bullet shot by the mini-dummies hit Pink, it will spawn a heart in its place. This attack can be abused to farm a lot of Pink hearts.
In later variants of this attack, red mini-dummies will also appear, launching themselves at you after the white ones finish shooting. Pay attention to their positions, and you shouldn't have much trouble.
TL;DR, bait the white dummies so they friendly fire on Pink, and dodge the red dummies mixed within the white ones. If you can't do both, prioritize on the latter.
After each phase ends, a special "date sequence" will initiate. You have to choose an answer Pink is satisfied with, or she will punish you with unblockable damage!
The first sequence will introduce you to said mechanic. Choose your words by going left or right, and confirm your choice by pressing "up". You have to answer correctly three times to proceed.
At the second sequence, Pink will split into BODY and GHOST, with different interests you have to somehow both cater to.
Their questions involve a bit of wordplay. If you get confused by them easily, just memorize the answer or look them up.
At the third sequence, torn by the conflict between her ghost and body, Pink went out of control and enters a possessed state. Collect the pink hearts and calm her down by reaching the white dialogue boxes, while also dodging the red dialogue boxes saying "DIE!"
Take your time, no need to race against the clock. At the last section where you need to race on a long, winding path, be wary of the checkpoints on the way where you can rest your fingers and plan your next move.
(This part is where I struggled the most: Obviously I know which buttons I should press, but my fingers just aren't fast enough....)
After the third date concludes, the rest is basically free! Although there is a "phase 4" and one final date, they serve storytelling purposes and don't pose as actual challenges.
After reconciling Pink's body and ghost, the two halves are finally whole!
As usual, you will receive a shadow crystal for all your troubles.
She won't reward you with an armor or weapon, however. Instead, the six flowers we befriended along the way will grant you special equipments made from their petals.
Each equipment has the price of 100 Flowery dollars and 3 pink coins. Considering there are 19 pink coins in total, and you already used 10 of them on the mystery key, you should be able to buy exactly three equipments if you collected every single one of those rose-colored shards.
Collecting these pink coins can be a real hustle. Some of them hides in obscure positions, some of them are placed behind tricky puzzles, and some of them are prizes for dastardly platforming challenges. One of these pink coins, locked behind a triplet of swinging pachinko bumps, even gave me more trouble than the final boss and the secret boss combined, which proves the fact that I won't be able to touch Hollow Knight for the rest of my life.
If you do collect all the pink coins and bought the three equipments of your choice, a secret final equipment will be available for a mere 1 Flowery dollar.
Meet the FloweryScarf, Ralsei's ultimate weapon! It will grant the wearer a whopping +70 each on AT, DF, and magic! If only you can get anyone to wear it....
After defeating Pink, she will appear in her shop once more, this time accompanied by Orange.
I've noticed it just now, but the perspective is really throwing me off. Damn you, Tricky Tony.
Pink will also appear at the Flower Cafe! There are two special interactions related to her, so make sure to check these out!
The first interaction is about Pink and Orange, accompanied by five other flowers! Despite not being a flower at all, Pink is well accepted by the bouquet band. Too bad Flowery isn't here, nor did he mention her in any way....
The second interaction is for Pink and Kris! Still reeling from the impact of Kris's flirts, Pink offers to go on a date!
Hold tight, Kris. Time to get you a magical catgirl partner.
...aaaand it's ruined. Thanks for nothing, Susie.
You too, Ralsei. Your explanations are very necessary indeed, totally didn't add salt to the wound.
Note to self: no more creating opportunities for Susie, she's on her own from now on.
Also, make sure to find a enclosed, private space for Kris's next date where absolutely no one can interrupt.
The last shadow crystal boss is a strange one indeed.
Compared to her predecessors, Pink felt a bit off, like she wasn't connected to the main story as much as the others.
I'm not saying Pink was irrelevant: her parallels with Kris are not to be ignored, and her new dialogue update regarding the ever-elusive FRIEND may give us a sneak peek of what's to come.
What I'm saying that although there are numerous lore and implications leading from Pink, there aren't enough of them that leads to her.
If I'm not mistaken, the Mew Mew figurine didn't make any prior appearances before Chapter 5, which means she literally spawned into Asgore's shop specifically for this chapter and declared she'd be the secret boss.
Of course, Pink's ghost first appeared three chapters ago, asking Kris to say hi to Asgore for her, but that hardly counted as any foreshadowing.
If pre-Chapter 5 me were to predict the Chapter 5 secret boss, I would have leaned toward something personally related to Asgore, something he held dear for a long, long time.
A cassette tape recording the Dreemurrs' loving memories would have been nice, and the fact that Asgore owns a television makes it all the better. Imagine all the Undertale True Lab/ Omega Flowey throwback we could've got!
Overall, can't say I'm completely satisfied with Pink, but she's still a great boss. I have great hopes that we will get to know her more in the following two chapters, considering she might come over to Castle Town.
Difficulty Rating: 6/10. Definitely on the hard side, but compared to her predecessors, she didn't give me much trouble.
First impression-wise, Pink is (for me, at least) the easiest secret boss so far. Guess I'm adept at the purple soul mode.
I don't know whether she is harder than that prick known as ERAM, but at least her sidequest wasn't a total bullcrap.
Playability Rating: 9/10. I love these kinds of "gimmick battles", where you have to play differently compared to what you usually do. They make you plan two steps ahead and rethink your strategies, and the bossfight felt more like a puzzle instead of just a stronger enemy encounter with more complicated attacks.
Overall Rating: 8.5/10. Wonderful (and hilarious) bossfight. Will challenge again.

The flowers observed us throughout our journey.
They understand we came here with our sacred mission: to seal their fountain, to preserve our world.
But they, too, have a world to protect.
So they challenge us, at the top of the castle, to a test of resolve: a clash for one dream to continue, and for another dream to end.
Seven flowers, raised as a wedding bouquet.
Seven flowers, fated for one smiling day.
To repay Asgore's love, they strived to build him a perfect world.
Now, at the final hour, they challenge us to a final battle: to see whose hopes are stronger, to see whose dreams shall stand true.
With the power from his friends and recruits, Flowery takes his last stand! Wielding the orange soul mode, he sends us a flurry of attacks we need to charge-dash through!
Also why is this battle genuinely challenging, like harder than a freaking Titan. What was this guy made of?
Despite all of Flowery's efforts, the Fun Gang still managed to press through.
As soon as our battle ended, Asgore rushes toward his child, tired and beaten after the fight.
He laments he was consumed by self-hatred after the tragedy that cost him his job, how he shoved his family away under the obsession to prove himself innocent.
He sought the truth for one singular purpose: to bring his family back to him, to return everything to how it once was.
And yet, at the end of his quest, he realizes that only harm awaits those he fights for if he went down this mad path.
He promises to let go of his obsession, and reflects on his uncalled-for affection towards Toriel. Talk about character growth!
(At the beginning of the chapter, I've noticed how Asgore always seemed uneasy in front of his old friend. I've expected this outcome, but I still felt bad how Flowery had to take this hit. Oof.)
In the end, Asgore decides to end this dream. He told Kris to seal the fountain and take everyone back to the light world. After all...
It is time to say goodbye.
Aqua, Seth, Orange, Green, Yellow, Blue... Each of the flowers thanked us for listening to their dream.
At the fountain, Kris's soul starts glowing.
Take a deep breath, and open your eyes.
It was all just a dream...
And we are not waking up just now.
Out comes the Roaring Knight, who nabbed Asgore and started to speed away! In the nick of time, Flowery comes to his king's rescue!
"Seems like you still... don't get it!"
"Nothing is stronger than..."
"a... Flower's... dream...!"
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
Before I played this chapter myself, I watch this live on a playthrough, and man, does it hurt.
Through the dark fountain, he could finally live out his dream like never before.
Alas, this flower is only meant to last for a day....
Rest well, Flowery.
Toby wasn't lying when he told us to have "one last fun adventure". Chapter 5 seems to be the calm before the storm, the beginning of the end.
The story is wonderful, the characters and their dynamics are really fleshed-out. I'm astonished by how Toby can introduce SEVEN characters of similar origins at once and complete each of their story arcs in one single chapter.
However, there seems to be several plot holes (We see Ralsei wields his fire magic, said to be able to burn everything down in an instant, but we haven't seen his explanation of it). I reckon many of these questions will be answered in Chapter 6.
Another complaint I have is how Asgore seems to be out from the spotlight, despite this chapter being dedicated to him. I was kinda disappointed we didn't get to fight him, but in retrospect, it seems foolish to think he would fight his own child.
That aside, to see him being captured by the Knight so easily - after hearing him say to parade the Knight's body around town - is also quite anticlimactic. Like dude, your flower puts up a better fight than you did.
However, I have an logical explanation to this: Back at the end of Chapter 3, when the Knight first appeared, we've seen them take Undyne in the exact same way.
The Knight flew out from the Dreemurr household, and enters the shelter at the south, traversing a considerable distance in the light world. Knowing that Undyne is extremely strong in the light world (she could literally bench press cars), the Knight must also be extremely powerful to carry her across all that distance.
If the Knight is truly that strong, I guess Asgore getting kidnapped won't be that surprising after all. But man, it still hurts to watch.
Don't worry, Mr. Fluffybuns. You still have two more chances to shine....
Gameplay-wise, the new mechanic is pretty fun, and I love how it was integrated to every part of the map: exploration, puzzle-solving, and even the final boss fight!
However, switching back and forth between normal mode and 2d platformer can get rather tedious when backtracking. It doesn't help that this dark world may be the largest one yet....
Overall, I like it, and I can see it return in future chapters. I am not good at it though, so may Lord have mercy on me when that happens....
The enemies are PERFECT! Aesthetics? attacks? Japanese culture? They got everything! design-wise, this chapter is my favorite by far, and I will be truly amazed if the Deltarune team manages to top that.
Honestly, the existence of Kawkaw alone is enough for me to give a perfect score. They are truly the best boys, even though some of them may be girls.
The bosses here are genuinely challenging, a noticeable difficulty bump from Chapter 4. They make me feel real grateful for my entire storage of healing items....
I enjoyed these battles: hard, but not cancerous. (Looking at you, Roaring Knight!) However, I also fear what's to come in the next two chapters. Maybe this time I will hone my dodging skills and actively for Chapter 6. Who knows what awaits me there?
My ratings of this chapter:
Story: 7/10 (I'm still sad about Asgore's lack of action, or shall I say, aura)
Gameplay: 8/10 (I suck at it, but it's interesting)
Enemies: 10/10
Bosses: 8/10
Final score: 8.3/10
I like it, it is my third most favorite chapter in the game for now (slightly behind Chapter 4 and the GOAT known as Chapter 2). Might not seem that good to you, but it is close, I swear. IT. IS. CLOSE.

Before going to the big finale, I wish to post some relaxing stuff and funny interactions.
You see, flowers are not exactly darkners: instead of objects, they are living beings.
Through Asgore's love and care, the seven wedding flowers gained sentience, shaping their bodies with their dreams.
Alas, these colorful friends cannot follow us to Castle Town: just like all the other flowers, they need light and water to live, which the dark worlds can't provide.
Unless stated otherwise, this may be the last time we'll ever see them, so might as well cherish the time they're here.

The cowboy confronted us when we crushed Blue's special flowers, but Susie accidentally convince him that he did that himself! Now we have to stop him from burying himself alive, or even worse stuff....

I had a lot of fun writing this post. As opposed to the coherent story I'm trying to do with the previous episodes, the shitpost-y format here is quite a breather.
Anyway, the next episode should be the last story-wise. I will narrate the finale of this chapter, then hand out my summary, likes and dislikes for each aspect of this latest installment.

Hey, at least we get moss. This feels all too familiar....
But fret not, my dear readers, Kris and Susie eventually got out from jail with some help from our friends!

Those labor don't come for free though....
After breaking out from prison (and meeting up with Ralsei once more), we can finally explore the Flower Castle!
There are two main paths in the Castle, introducing us to the remaining four flowers. Both paths need to be completed in order to progress.
I love the flowers subplot, but they are, unfortunately, rather short and fragmented. Therefore, I won't focus on them here today. (Definitely not because I forgot to take screenshots again haha)
Instead, in this article, I shall cover more about the main story regarding Asgore, and the possible implications for the final two chapters of DELTARUNE.
All across the castle, we can find pieces of paper, hung on the ceiling and strewn across the floor.
The writings are twisted and warped, but we can just salvage something from these scriptures: a dark world created a long time ago, way before Castle Town and the Card Kingdom.
For all these years, Asgore has been studying the dark world in secret. Now that the king had collected all his evidence, he just need an ending piece: the creator of this fountain.

I had to admit, I was very scared back then. Never in my life had I seen Asgore so pissed.
Aside from Asgore, Flowery is also a major presence in these sections.
There is a cutscene that's rather memorable to me, one that left a lasting impact throughout the story.
It happens right when we find Ralsei praying at the Flower Castle.
Ralsei prayed at every opportunity he got, lamenting the unforgiving fate foretold by the Prophecy.
But then Flowery appeared, encouraging him to believe in himself, to do the impossible and defy fate.
Ralsei only wishes to hope, but Flowery seems to truly believe he can challenge destiny.
Ralsei believed he deserves nothing beyond his set purpose, but Flowery strives to define his own purpose, to help Asgore in his own way.
Honestly saying, this part might be where my opinions on Flowery started to change.
Back at the start of this chapter, I used to hate Flowery. I thought he was annoying, someone so unnaturally positive it's almost certain fake.
But when he "exposed his true colors", I started to understand him. Where his optimism came from, and how he served as a mirror to Ralsei.
Remember in the previous chapter, when Ralsei so desperately conceals the truth of the Prophecy? When he constantly neglects his desires, his wants and needs?
But in this chapter, we see a different Ralsei. One who expresses himself more sincerely. One who began to change, even if he doesn't admit so.
What Flowery did was to incite this change, to amplify this contrast. That's what made him an interesting character: he isn't just Ralsei's dual, but a version of him that he envies and (to an certain extent) wishes to be.
Phew! That was a lot, amirite?
After such a serious topic today, it only makes sense to give you some relaxing stuff next time.

Yup, that's me. You're probably wondering how I got into this situation.
After the lake yuri scene, Susie went to buy some ice cream, but Noelle left in a hurry after receiving some distressing news: her father had fallen down.
Well, I don't know if he "dropped from a ladder" or "fell into a coma shortly before death like in Undertale", but things don't look well for him.
It's said that a dying person may have their vitality suddenly return shortly before death. Is this what's been happening to ol' Rudy? Can we save him? Or is he doomed from the start? I guess this question will have to be answered when Chapter 6 releases....
So anyway, Susie went to Flower King to fetch some flowers for Noelle, while Kris waits outside, but something's been quite suspicious with them right now....
Oh, not again.
Yeah, so that's what happened.
Back in Undertale, we meet Flowey right at the beginning, in a small patch of grass in front of the Ruins. Just when I led the Lightners through the plains, looking for a certain golden flower...
Lo and behold, anime man!
By the way, his name is Flowery. Yeah, Flowery. I guess Asgore really sucked at naming stuff....
"Ralsei joins the party" has been the custom for the last few chapters, though this time in quite a non-fashionable way.
The Prince's hat also makes its grand return.
In each chapter, the first area is what greeted us to the dark world.
And in this chapter, I spotted something marvelous, something we've all been waiting for.
The area theme name is back, in all its glory and splendor! It really feels like we're playing Chapter 1 all over again!

Deja Vu! I've just been in this place before~
It is clear that by this region is meant to reflect the main characters' growth throughout the story: Susie would have wrecked this bread if things were back in Chapter 1, but here it is, safe and sound, at least for the time being....
The Garden isn't all about nostalgia though: there are two new mechanics which would be relevant throughout the whole chapter.
One of them is the watering can! Use it to reveal hidden paths and make flowers bloom!
The other is this white feather. It turns the perspective of the game into a 2d platformer.
The feather can be obtained after defeating Aqua, the playful cyan flower! Though her trait is Patience, she is anything but so.
Using our new prize, we can finally access the Cliffs, a new area!
A new problem surfaces: Flowery isn't as trustworthy as he claims to be. He clearly don't want the Fun Gang to meet up with Asgore.
To find our way to Mr. Fluffybuns, we have to make our way to the Flower Castle!
The feather platformers are used prominently throughout this area, required in many places in order to progress. The climbing sections from Chapter 4 are also a common sight!
Seth, the purple flower of Perseverance, acts as the main threat of this area. Together with Aqua, they work to stop us in our tracks with various bullet patterns!
The scene is beautiful is it not? Better watch it, before the sun goes down completely....
I'll have to apologize: I completely forgot to take screenshots during this section. Partially because this area is mostly action-based, but mostly because the new mechanics are just too fun. You know the game is great when it makes you forget your supposed task.
I've considered filling the blanks by screenshotting playthroughs, but then the pictures won't match the format of those I took, so have this completely context-less screenshot instead:
We made it to the castle, excited to finally see Asgore. However, just as Flowery said, he doesn't seem to feel the same....
Asgore shoved us out of the dark world, and locked the door so we can't reenter it.
Well, what do we do now?
Obviously, the next episode will be about the Flower Castle. As for how we will make it back... you will know soon, if you haven't already.
If my estimations are correct, the materials I have are enough for me to make four more articles: Part 3 will be the main storyline, Part 4 will be the funnies, Part 5 will be the end, and there will be a secret boss special, of course!
I also plan to make a "SPOILER-FILLED SUMMARY OF DELTARUNE CHAPTER 5", which may or may not be placed at the finale of my Deltarune playthrough experience.

Almost finished the chapter. I think only the final boss is left, with maybe some additional sequences.
I like the new game mechanic, but it is the bane of my existence. I have to admit I'm not good at it....
Also got the secret boss on the way. The battle is hard, but thankfully not "Roaring Knight" hard, and I quite enjoy the gimmick of that fight!
"My Deltarune Chapter 5 Experience Part 2" is on the works. I estimate the full chapter should give me 5 posts' worth of content, not counting the secret boss, who I shall dedicate an entire article to.

As I've said before, now's my turn to play this cocaine trip of a chapter for myself!

In this chapter, I've decided to try something new: I will post my full experience in series instead of one huge summary. Chapter 5 is quite a long one, and I'm afraid one post won't be enough.
I've also wanted to post videos here, be it important cutscenes or battles. I want to show you how I stumble through all those challenging boss battles, just thought it would be fun.
One small catch though: .mp4 files are big. I tried loading a 10-minute clip as a test, and apparently Tumblr can't handle that. Not to mention my full recording is measured by hours....
So, yeah. There goes my no-commentary playthrough plan. What a shame.
Fortunately, I still took screenshots, you can have that.
Alright, let's get to the point!
The sun's just up, and the town is quiet right now. What a way to start the day after the Ol' Jitterbug Incident.
After feeding Toriel some honey toast, Kris and I made our way to the closet dark world, guided by the conveniently placed festival-related obstacles.
Since the day hasn't quite started yet, there are only a few people on the streets. One of them is Asgore.
Hi, Asgore!
Don't worry, Mr. Asgore, I am pretty sure she's doing much better than you are...
The other guy is Pizzaface! Now's his chance to have a BIG SHOW!
Uhhh, how do we tell him?
After greeting the townsfolk, we went to Castle Town... to greet more townsfolk! The denizens of the dark world have a festival of their own, and they seems to caught wind of Susie's big date....
Swatch offered to help dress Susie up, but his efforts aren't much appreciated....

The First ever Lancerlympics is open for all! Alas, we have our own festivals to attend.
Even Ralsei's bleak room is lit with joy and whimsy from the festival! A shame it wasn't the style he prefers....
After Susie joined our party, the Trashy Trio is ready to brawl! A battle that's harder than it looks, and a great refresher for my dodging skills.
Despite being taken by surprise several times, I managed to get them first try without using items or anyone dying. Sounds like good news to me!
After leaving Castle Town, it is finally time for the Light World Festival!
Looks like everyone is celebrating!

As an avid Suselle shipper, I voted for Noelle and Susie to wear the crowns. I even tried to make them stand on the pedestal, but Susie just won't face the right direction....
The lake scene... it's pure, unadulterated beauty.
Their interactions... it's so sweet, so natural, like they're meant for this very moment.
(Also, I'm quite surprised that Susie is such a natural flirt)

Welp, that's all for today! We all know the dark world of chapter 5 is coming up next, but I'll cover the details on the next episode. The Suselle Lake Scene™ just seemed like a high note to end things on.
There are a whole bunch of stuff I didn't cover in my post: the spooky church, giving Tenna a new home, and the conspicuous catgirl doll that serves as the Flower King's new mascot. There were some noteworthy moments among them, but I just felt too lazy to cover them. I've been itching to explore the new dark world tomorrow, and I don't want the post progress to slow down too much, so there's that.
Tomorrow I'll progress through the dark world as far as my time allow and pump out Part 2 as soon as I can.

I finished watching the livestream just now. Truly, who needs sleep when you've got Deltarune?
Spoiler-free summary: ABSOLUTE. FUCKING. CINEMA. Undertale references? Check. Gameplay mechanics? Check. Quirky characters, new and old? Check. Cocaine? Check times a million. The acid trip known as chapter 3 looked tame compared to whatever this is.
Nothing makes sense, yet everything make sense: that's what Tricky Tony is to me. I've seen a handful of predictions come true, but none of them worked in the way I thought it would. I will not spoil them here, so see for yourself: in the end, it will all come together. Toby surprises, but he seldom disappoints.
Overall, I'm very excited to finally play this chapter for myself. The only catch is that I haven't touched this game for one whole year. Past me completed chapter 3&4, beat their respective secret bosses, and decided to call that a day. May the game have mercy on present me for the challenges to come...
When I eventually finish chapter 5, I will share my own two cents on said chapter, as promised. Dunno how long that would take though, I have yet to find a long period of time to use my computer in peace...
