very important that y’all know gabe doesn’t think he was meant to lead, he knows he wasn’t built for it, he is a sheep in shepards clothing because Dad ( G-d ) handed him the baby ( the Heavenly Host ) and went “look after them”

he doesn’t think he’s a good leader, but the Almighty told him he was, so he has to believe it / it has to be true, and for the most part it is, but gabriel is a soldier meant to take orders, and that is one of the reasons he needs the divine plan / the apocalypse so badly.

gabriel in his angelic form being terrifying 😌 gabriel the first few times he comes to earth not knowing exactly how humans are built so he had extra eyes and wings and was sort of graceful uncanny valley ☺️ gabriel who still doesn’t quite get how humans look so his eyes are purple and he has perfectly smooth skin and is extremely tall 🥰

i just think gabriel as a demon could be so fun. like i could go the bird route he could be a peacock or a pigeon but i personally think spider gabe could be so personal. ( moth gabe is also a valid option )

i just need y'all to invision them the way i am because i want him covered in moths, i want him in deep muddy browns and yellows instead of purples, a bleach stain on the back of his coat reminiscent of the death's-head hawkmoth's back. gabriel as a demon who's patron animal is a moth because he is and will always be drawn to the light even when it is out of reach --

also the entire idea being he falls because he tries to protect the others, because he loves the host and it was his job to shepherd them.

they are careful with their words, with the way they approach many subjects. the heavenly host are not meant to question, they are a flock who follow their shepherd with the utmost loyalty. he has noticed them, the little flock of angels sticking their noses where they don't belong, he has tried to guide them back to the right side, the good side. but it seems they prefer to question than listen and so he thinks he has a question for them : who are you if you are not an angel fighting on the side of good ?

gabriel had not wanted to go to the almighty with his concerns, he had tried, in his own way to avoid doing so. but what is a sheep meant to do when there are wolves among the flock ?

the answer had been : you are the enemy, you are evil, you are not an angel at all.

“ angels do not lie. ” Archangel's features twist, disgust and anger boil to the surface, contained only by a holy rage, a temperament gifted from god herself: patience is a virtue, gabriel. “ i did what needed to be done, to protect the host. how you feel about such an act is insignificant compared to the impact of greater good. ” this is stated the way gabriel will state most things : as if @hasteur should be grateful for this betrayal of trust, as if it should have been expected of them.
