He was the best guy I knew.
Hi Flynn.
Please go away.
I….I don’t wanna talk.
Brooke...
Movie Night
"Maybe when I’m out of college they’ll kick me out," she laughed. If that was the case then she had at least two more years to mooch up on her guardians as much as she wanted. It was a good plan to her. "Oh so that’s what we would be doing if I came over to your mostly apartment?" she teased, smirking up at him. "Homework? Sounds exciting."
"There ya go, might as well milk it for all it's worth." Flynn agree with a laugh. If he got to live in this huge fancy house with all his friends rent free and getting good food, he's certainly take advantage. "Yep, we've gotta focus on our academics if we wanna be successful." he joked, leaning closer to her. "Homework...among other things." he said, smiling.
Movie Night
"Maybe one day I’ll follow Jett’s lead and move out. But since I have free rent and food and everything else in this manor I think I’ll stay till they kick me out," Brooklyn said with a small chuckle, mostly to herself. "Maybe I will come over. Then we’d only have to worry about Sadie walking in on us instead my entire pack and brothers and guardians," she pointed out. His thumb brushing over her skin tingled a little and she turned so she could face him a little better. "And we could actually like, be alone."
"Hey I'd take that deal if I were you." he said in agreement. "Might as well take what you can get until they make you leave." he said with a laugh. "You can stop over whenever, Sadie is pretty busy with her classes and would leave us alone if we wanted to hang out. Or get homework done, you know, whichever." he added with a chuckle. "The quieter the better." he said, smiling down at her.
Movie Night
Brooklyn smiled when he gave her the popcorn and then settled back against the couch. She liked the feeling of his arm around it. It was warm and comforting and it didn’t really weird at all. It was nice. She wasn’t sure what they were but she did like it. “It’s school. Does anything interesting happen?” she asked with a smirk as she turned her face up to look at him. “It’s only a few weeks into the semester. They’re not torturing us completely just yet.”
Flynn liked this; hanging out just the two of them, not sure whether to label it as an actual date or anything, but glad they were together nonetheless. He let out a laugh, "Yeah good point." he nodded slightly. "Yeah, not yet. When they do you're welcome to come hide out at my and Sadie's place if it's too loud here." he offered. He turned back to the movie, absently running his thumb over her shoulder.
Movie Night
Brooklyn smiled at his suggestion and nodded. “Avengers night sounds pretty cool,” she said. Now she wasn’t like the superhero comic book type of nerd but she had grown up with two brothers. Because of them she liked all that superhero stuff. She giggled at how he got all quiet and she too glanced around to look for pack members. Who she was most worried to see where her brothers and her guardians. They won’t let it down. “When do I not want food?” she asked and opened her mouth, “Hit me.”
Flynn nodded with a smile, "Sweet. Avengers night it is then." he said decidedly. He was friends with most of the pack, but he'd rather not have either of her brothers or any of the Smythes come walking in on the two of them. "True." he agreed with a laugh, taking some popcorn and putting it in her mouth. He grabbed a handful for himself and leaned back on the couch, pulling her closer to him. He watched the movie for a bit, and when there was a lull he turned to her, "Anything interesting happening at school with you?" he wondered. Things had been pretty boring for him.
Movie Night
Brooklyn gave him a light playful smack for the rolling of the eyes. “She’s just as badass as the rest of the Avengers even though she doesn’t have any superpowers. She doesn’t need them. So yeah they better make a movie,” she said. It wasn’t hard to figure out why she connected to Black Widow. “Yeah she was. It was pretty good,” she told him as she settled herself into the crook of his arm where she would be warm and comfortable. “Shhhh,” she said with fake urgency, pressing her index finger to his lips, “You’ll jinx it. This is a miracle so we have to take it while we have it.”
Flynn flinched as though the hit actually hurt him, "Hey! I didn't say she wasn't badass! All the Avengers are important, ok?" he defended with another laugh. "Do you have that one here? Maybe we could find it next, make it an Avengers night." he said with a shrug. "Okay Okay." he said in a quieter voice, looking around to see if there was any sign of pack members. He wanted more popcorn but he was comfortable this close to Brooklyn so he wrapped his hand around her shoulder and leaned forward to grab more with his other hand, dragging her with him. "You want some popcorn while we're here?" he joked.
Movie Night
"Well unfortunately we can’t watch a movie with my favorite superhero because they haven’t made a Black Widow yet which is totally ridiculous because she’s awesome and deserves her own movie," she said with a very firm of agreement to herself. "But I guess we can go with second choice so…Captain America," she said and took out the DVD, popping into the TV before jumping back onto the couch besides him.
Flynn laughed and rolled his eyes, of course Black Widow would be her favorite superhero. "Yeah yeah, they'll get to it eventually." he joked. "Hey wasn't she in the second captain america movie? I never saw that one." he admitted as she walked back over to the couch and sat down next to him. As the opening credits started to roll he leaned over and wrapped one arm around her shoulders, looking over at her. "I'm surprised we managed to find some peace and quiet here." he said with a smile.
Movie Night
"Okay so we have a ton of action, kick ass movies from my brother…," Brooklyn said as she scrolled through the very expansive movie collection that the Smythes and Sinclairs had in their very entertainment set. "Okay these are just Katherine’s collections of old time black and white, doubt you wanna watch this. Soul Surfer, not the best movie but Bethany Hamilton is awesome. The entire box set of Friends….or we just can watch something on demand," she laughed as she turned back to look at Flynn, who was sitting on the couch. The two of them had decided for a quiet night in this time at her place, especially since the large manor was going to be mostly empty for once. "What do you want to do?"
Flynn sat on the couch, watching Brooklyn as she searched through their impressive movie collection. It honestly didn't matter much to him what they watched; he was just content hanging out with her. "Hmmm, decisions decisions." he said as he stroked his chin, pretending to think deeply about their movie choice. "Got any superhero movies? Cuz I'll watch any of those!" he offered, hoping it was a genre she liked too. He reached over and grabbed a handful of popcorn from the big bowl on the coffee table, popping a few in his mouth. "Whoever your favorite superhero is let's watch that." he said with a smile.
I’m not leaving this bed. You can’t make me.
Yes I can - Get up! I thought we were gonna see a movie or something ya lazy bum.
Fiona and Flynn Erving - Moodboar | Part 1
Kiss the Girl || Flynn & Brooklyn
"Hmmmm I’m not sure," she teased again, giggling as she did. "No it was terrible! It was waterloo terrible, it was crashing and burning to death terrible, it was a loss for the history books terrible." Another side of her competitiveness was that she did not let things go and this victory was not going to be forgotten for a long time. Brooklyn liked to have her victories.
When his arm drew her tighter to his chest, Brooklyn felt her heart start to pound in her chest. Her mind flashed to Oliver, to how she had let in him, loved him and then how he had only betrayed her in the end and broken her heart. But Flynn was not Oliver. Flynn was not going to use her to try and become a werewolf. Flynn was cute and sweet and made her laugh and they had a lot of fun together. And she liked him, she really liked him and maybe that was what scared her the most. But it was time to move on with her life, to focus on the future instead of the past. “A man is nothing without his word,” she said softly as their lips just barely brushed, “Just kiss me Erving.” And when he did, Brooklyn could not help the smile that came to her lips as she wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him back. And it was everything that she could have hoped for.
When they pulled away from each other, she let out a breath that she felt she had been keeping in for a very long time. Brooklyn smiled up at him, laughing at how the paint flecks on their faces had mixed together. Looked like they had made purple. “Oh no you still have to cook for me,” she teased, laughing again before going in for another kiss.
Flynn rolled his eyes a little at her, she just had to think the kiss was her idea. He smiled as she initiated the next one, confirming he wasn't the only one enjoying it. His hand moved from around her shoulder to the back of her head, his fingers running through her hair and keeping her in the kiss as long as he wanted.
He pulled away and pretended to look offended, "What?" he asked as though in shock. "I'm giving a much better deal here and you're still gonna make me cook dinner?" he insisted, hoping he'd get her to give in. Though knowing how competitive she was he'd probably have to start looking up recipes. "You sure? We could find something else, same bet double or nothing." he offered, wondering if he could play off her competitive side.
He looked down at her, wondering when the last time was he'd felt this way about someone. When he realized his eyes flickered down for a moment; Gemma. Not that she ever felt the same way, or that he'd actually told her. And not that he'd get the chance now. But as he looked back at Brooklyn any thought of Gemma was quickly forgotten in her green eyes. The brunette smiled, reaching up with his thumb and wiping away some blue paint just under her eye. "We should do this again sometime." he said softly, clearly meaning more than just paintball.
Kiss the Girl || Flynn & Brooklyn
Flynn should have known better than to invite her to do something competitive, something that she would be determined to win at and wouldn’t give up until she did. In every sport she had played, Brooklyn made sure to come out on top. She had made up a team of random people and had made herself their leader. Like the alpha leading their pack. Being raised by alpha wolves did make leadership come naturally to a person. And werewolves genes did help when playing paintball. “Eat my paint Erving!” she cried out in victory as she aimed at his chest and shot, then whooping in triumph as the color exploded all over his chest. Her and her team then exploded into cheers.
"And I will always win!" she yelled at him, throwing her fist up into the air. After she and her team congratulated each other and then bid goodbye, the others asking her to join them again, she made her way over to Flynn. She took off her helmet, tucking the hairs that had fallen loose from her braid back behind her ear and then took off the vest, happy to be able to fully breathe again. Both of their faces were flecked with paint, which made her smile.
When he spoke and wrapped his arm around her shoulder to pull her closer, Brooklyn raised an eyebrow and smirked a little. “Oh I don’t know if I remember that,” she teased, smiling up at him. She hadn’t kissed anyone since Oliver, hadn’t really wanted to let herself want to kiss anyone. But with Flynn she did. “You lost hard,” she whispered to him with a small laugh under her breath. “Pay up.”
Flynn looked down at her, her hair streaked with paint, some flecks having made their way onto her face. There was always going to be a part of him that was in denial Brooklyn even wanted to hang out with him, that a girl as cool and beautiful as her even noticed him. But still he couldn't help but smile, he'd had more fun with her lately than he'd had in a long time. He pulled her closer with his arm, raising his own eyebrows. "I'm pretty sure that was the bet." he said, rolling his eyes. "Hey, it wasn't that bad!" he insisted, then paused. "Okay except that one big guy that I thought would be great was pretty terrible." he admitted with a laugh.
He gave a small shrug, "But, I guess a bet's a bet..." he said, starting to trail off. Flynn pulled her closer with the arm around her shoulders, bending his head to reach hers so they were only inches from each other. "And I'm a man of my word." he said with a smile, closing the gap between them. His lips met hers and it was everything he'd been waiting for since day one. He wrapped his other arm around her waist, pulling her closer as he went in for another kiss, not waiting to see her reaction to the first.
Her lips were soft against his, and it took everything he had to not start smiling. He finally pulled away and looked down at her, gently pushing a now rainbow colored strand out of her face and behind her ear. "Does this mean I don't have to cook for you anymore?" he asked hopefully, his smile growing.
Kiss the Girl || Flynn & Brooklyn
Flynn quickly glanced his head around the corner and then made his move. As soon as he turned the corner he saw Brooklyn crouched and aiming at him from the deck above. "Aw crap." Flynn managed to mumble right before her shot hit him in the chest and he let out a grunt. He hung his head in shame, shaking it as though disappointed but not really minding that he'd lost. He looked around at the random teammates he'd found and they all looked to be in pretty bad shape; Jett wasn't kidding when he said Brooklyn was competitive.
"Seriously? You already won!" Flynn yelled across the paintball arena, a grin on his face. Brooklyn was striking a victory pose after shooting him in the gut an extra time after the match was already over. He made his way to the arena office, pulling his helmet off and wiping the sweat from his forehead. He shrugged off the vest and hung it back on the hook with a sigh, looking over at her with a smile.
"What was the bet again?" he asked playfully, knowing full well what he'd agreed to when he gave her the tickets. He took a step closer to her and wrapped one arm around her shoulders. "Wasn't it something like...loser has to kiss the winner...?" he trailed off, trying to hide a smile and see if she'd protest. If he was honest he'd been waiting since their first date on the beach to kiss her, but for the longest time had hesitated. He wasn't even sure why; either it was because she was Jett's sister, or because she seemed so far out of his league he didn't think it was possible. "Well, I guess I lose." he said, trying to sound bummed out about it.
Most of those pictures, not all of them. There are tons I could use without going down with you.
That’s a great call. You would look horrible.
Mmhmm, if you say so. I'm pretty sure I've got an old tape of you singing and dancing for an Easter party. It's cute minus the part where you're naked.
Gee thanks.
Don’t forget I know you just as much. I even have pictures. We wouldn’t want them to go out.
Please don’t do that. Just… Don’t.
You realize you're in most of those pictures, right? If I go down you're goin' down with me.
Yeahhh, that's probably a good call. I don't wanna deal with hair dye anyway.
