“We both know I’m a sucker for you, Mister Court. Except I can’t find my freaking p – oh, there they are.      Why don’t I talk to him? I just shot him down in flames, Flynn. Flames. It couldn’t have been worse if I insulted his mother. I wouldn’t even know what to say.”

“I’m, like, 95% sure that’s against the rules. And, to be honest, I’ve been asking myself the same thing. I’m so fucking dumb.”

I mean, he wasn’t doing it to be mean, he just wanted to help me get over my fear, and he did – be it unconventional or not. But no, I don’t think I would have done it without him.

Then I’m glad he pushed you. He wouldn’t be a very good best friend if he never pushed you once and a while, right? How else would you conquer your fears?

“I mean, yeah, it’s kind of weird. But he’s still my… Cooper. He’s still Cooper, and I wouldn’t compromise his well being because things are a bit awkward.”

"I know you wouldn't, but still. In that case, I am keeping my favor for a later time. ----- Hey, why did you turn him down, anyway?"

“You cannot take back favors owed, Lydia! But thank you, you’re truly the brightest star there is. I need you to come and get Cooper —- or watch him until he’s ready to go and then drive him home. He hasn’t had much to drink, only a beer or two, so he should be okay.”

“Sixth grade, Flynn!        Wait, you’re seriously cashing in your favor for that? You could’ve just asked, and I would’ve done it, anyway.”

Summer camp in second grade. He kind of pushed me into the lake because I was scared to jump in.

I don’t think you can kind of push someone into a lake. But that was cool of him. Think you could’ve gotten in if he hadn’t pushed you?

“       Are you serious right now, Flynn? It was the sixth grade! But it must be serious if you’re cashing in such a huge favor. What can I do for you, babe?”
