im checking kudos on one of my stories and I found out someone left kudos. i go on their profile to see what they like bc that's what i do when I check my kudos. making sure no niggas with fetishies or any weird shit is hopping on my page. I check they profile and I find so much disturbing shit.
i was in a public library so i had to contain me literally gasping so they won't look at me like im crazy.
the thing is, this was from page 1-2. imagine the rest of what this nigga got in store. even though they didn't write the fics, they bookmarked it.
im tryna find the block button and then i realize... ao3 doesn't have one.
but people could write shit like that unsupervised.
ao3, you need to get your shit together. even you just add a fucking block button.

ps: im not saying we should shut down ao3 or get rid of it. people make a living off of fanfiction, some people do it for hobbies, fanfiction might be the reason why someone is alive right now. and ik that just bc we get rid of those fics doesn't mean that they will stop and that ao3 isnt the website that allows this. all im saying is that ao3 needs guidelines and mods to moderate what you post. this is the website most people go on when they look for fanfic. this is the website where you can gain some attraction the most. this is the website that people think of when they hear fanfiction. understand that im not talking to people who project and went through shit like that. im talking to the people who write it for a nsfw/racist audience and try to defend themselves and fight for their lives when someone say it's gross.
