Final FINAL A2 Poster
I added an arrow and are-created the previous A2 poster but in procreate, I don't know what was wrong with me. Why couldn't I just work on Procreate in the first place, it's so easy!
Tumble Wallpaper
At the top of Tumblr, there is a thumbnail or an image that is displayed. I wanted mine to show off some of my work but also introduce them to it and welcome them. This sounds complicated but it's very much isn't.
So the first thing I did was insert my forest image onto a new canvas and pasted my Crimson title on top of it to create something that you would see at the beginning of a movie.
I like how this looks, it works very well and captures the aesthetic I was going for.
That is something, the more I look at my title, the more I realize that it looks a lot like Castlevania animated series, title.
It's the moon “C”. I think I might have taken inspiration from this, however, I don't know because it never really came to mind that I know of. Who knows, maybe it was one of those moments where you see it, it's compressed into your memory and then you draw the same thing but don't realize it wasn't your idea.
Or Castlevania and I just came up with the same idea, we will never know...
Pitch Sheet
For today's session, I wanted to create my portfolio but at the start of it, I am supposed to put in a pitch sheet. I have done this once before so I sort of know what I am doing.
First things first, make it aesthetically pleasing, so I took the image of a forest I illustrated and put my characters on it just to show them off and what they look like, because of their interesting designs, this should increase people's attention.
I also put on my title at the top and started to write what my project is about, what is it inspired by, etc. I then started to write about the story and what it's about and then followed on with my target audience. I then coloured the text white.
Once I finished that, there was a space left in the bottom right corner and I didn't know what else to put there so I decided to put in my QR Code with writing next to it saying it's a link to my webcomic, with an arrow next to it, which I liked the look of. I wonder if I could do the same on my A2 poster.
Sadly, Rose Crimson ends up getting engaged to the evil perfectionist Lord Vincent once she turned 18 years of age due to her father not being about to pay back his loan. On her wedding day, she escapes the mansion and wishes to start a new life on her own and pay back the debt herself. To make quick money she decided to become a bounty hunter. One day she finds a handsome, tall, intimidating man in the woods. Will they fall in love?

Trust me, this will entertain you. If you like fantasy, magic, action and romance then this webcomic is for you!

Uploading Webcomic To Webtoon
For today, I wanted to finish completing the webcomic by releasing it to Webtoon so I can get a QR Code for my Webtoon. I know what you are thinking, “Emily, you already have a QR Code for your webcomic” Yeah I know, I do, but this was before then so just forget about it.
First things first, they wanted me to put in the cover, I have already done this before, however, I just wasn't happy with it so I re-done them where you can see more of the background. We have the main cover and then the square cover that I am using as the main cover would constantly be seen on the app. I then compressed them and pleased them in, it now looks really good and I'm proud of them.
After that, I have to write the episode name, which I am just going to call “Episode 1” for simplicity and less confusion.
After that, I then inserted my comic strips in order, good thing that Webtoon cuts them down for me so I don't have to do it myself. I put them in but when it came to the last one, I get a warning that it only allowed a certain amount of images. I thought that this was bad and was telling me that it only allowed a certain amount of images, but no, I just realized that it was just full and I needed to compress the images to fit them all in. After that, I was then done and ready to publish, so I did.
That experience was nice, it was easy to understand and I'm happy with how it turned out. It makes me so proud to see it up on an app, it's very cool to see it gain some views and likes and even subscribers. Sadly it's too small of a series to get a lot of views but I don't care. I'm just happy this is over.
Final A2 Poster
This is the final look at the A2 poster. I am very proud of it. It looks really good and you already know why since I already explained why in another post. However, I am quite sad there isn't a fun arrow pointing to the QR Code.
End Of My Webcomic
For today, I wanted to talk more about the end of my webcomic. At the end of my webcomic, there is the title of the Webtoon and a small illustration of what I consider me in a cute art style, thanking people for reading. I then also put in my Instagram and also my Tumblr, and at the very end, there is a “To be continued...” written at the end.
For the social media logos, I didn't want to just find images on Google and paste them in, I wanted icons that I can keep and use in the future. So the only way I could think of doing this is to get a font, where each letter is a social media icon. This would be a very good idea because I can use it any time and it looks really good.
So I went onto Google Chrome and found a website called FontSpace.com. Here I found perfect word fonts for every icon, I mainly just wanted Instagram and Tumblr so when I saw this one that included just that and so much more, it was perfect. It is also free and was very easy to download and import into Procreate.
Free downloads of legally licensed fonts that are perfect for your design projects. The best place in the universe to search for amazing fon
Once I downloaded it, I used the font and then wrote out my Instagram and Tumblr on the strip next to the corresponding logo to easily display my social media for future support and also so I can claim that it is my work.
Above my social media, I put in one of my older artworks of a cute, chibi-style, illustration of what I consider to be myself. It is also my Instagram profile picture so it made sense to use it. I drew this illustration for another Webtoon project I used to work on. A few years ago I wanted to create a Webcomic and post it on Webtoon so I created one, but unfortunately, I never posted it. But I did draw this illustration to thank people for reading. I drew this because I realized that other Webcomic creators also did the same thing. I would show images of it, however, I am not allowed to or I will probably get into trouble, probably won't, but why would I risk it.
Even though I drew this a long time ago, I still love it, it's the first drawing I ever did on Procreate so it's very special to me. I love how everything has a pink tone to it which I really love. I also made it so I'm hugging an apple pen which I find very cute and hilarious.
I'm very proud of it. It's just so cute, I should draw like this more often.
A2 Poster
For today I wanted to work on my A2 poster for the collage gallery at the end of my project. I've already mentioned this but at the end of a major project, my college holds a gallery party-type event where they put up all of the work from this course on walls and frames. Each student gets their frame. So today, it is time to design what goes in that frame.
First things first, I opened a PSD file that my teacher gave me so I can understand the layout of the page. I wanted to open it in Photoshop instead of Procreate because I felt like that would be a better idea since a computer feels a lot better to work on when doing layouts like this than it is on a tablet. However, I did open it up in Procreate as well, just in case Photoshop didn't work out for me.
I decided to just put in my cover and nothing else. I wasn't sure how to go about it, the only thing I knew I wanted to do was put in a QR Code that can send people to my webcomic. However, I want sure if I only wanted my cover or some of my other work as well. But first things first, I needed a QR Code, so when I was on my tablet at the time, I figured out how to get a QR Code. I just had to go on Google Chrome and clicked the share button and click QR Code and that would give me one.
However, when I reserved it and I copied the code, it got sent to my gallery as this...
It wasn't what I wanted, I wanted just the image of the code, not anything else. So I decided to continue on my PC Google Chrome which gave me this...
I then pasted the QR Code and my other artwork onto Photoshop and tried to find layouts that work well enough together, however, they didn't look quite right. I hated the plain white space that was left behind and nothing was working. I also wanted a nice arrow pointing to my QR Code but sadly I didn't know how and all I was able to do was make a line but it didn't have the same effect that I was going for.
So I decided to forget about the other two and just stick with only the cover and QR Code, I also gave up on the arrow. I also made the canvas black instead of white because it suits the aesthetic.
I am very happy with his this turned out, I love how simple it is and how the cover just steals the show which is great since I worked so unberleavebly hard on that and it needs to be the queen of the poster. The QR Code also doesn't cover up a lot of the poster which I am very pleased about.
Final Webcomic Cover
This is the final art for my webcomic cover. I have decided to put my title at the bottom of the cover with my name below that. I still hate that it covers up her blood weapon a bit but I'm still very happy with how it turned out.
You can still see the weapon which is good enough for me. I am so very proud of my work, it's colourful, has the correct vibe I am going for, I get to put my backgrounds into use and I also love how the characters look. Especially Rose’s hair, it's so many and I love how I drew her hair in the winds. It's so fairy tale and majestic which was what I was exactly going for.
I also changed the bottom phrase “Art & Story By: Emily Cywinski” to “Art & Story by Emily Cywinski” because the “By:” was just unsessesery and didn't make a lot of sense.
So, I am very happy I changed that, don't want to embarrass myself with Gramma now do I?
Webcomic GIFs
Little Nightmares Comics also reminds me of Webtoon we're you can also animate your strips but also put in some music in the background as well. This is something I would have loved to do, however, because I am not a popular creator, there isn't a way for me to do that. Well...that I know of. Which sucks because I would have loved to do something like that.

One good example of 3D animated webcomics is the Little Nightmares comics. These comics are so cool, I love how it's animated and moves when you scroll down. The music is also tuned to the comic, so when you scroll, depending on the vibe of the scene, the music will match it.
This is something I love to see and is something I would have loved to create if only I had more time.
WoldCAST Studio
Easily create your augmented reality experiences with WorldCAST Studio!
I wanted to research this website that I was recommended to look at quite a while ago, it's a website where if I was to draw something, I can hover my phone over my art and the app would make that artwork 3D. This was an option I could have taken with my webcomics to make them even cooler, however, I decided to stay away from it due to the amount of time I had left.
However, if I had more time, I could have given this a go.
I like this one, mainly because it's the last one I completed till I was completely done with my webcomic. This one was quite fun because I love how I drew some scenes, Rose and Isabella look very pretty but I absolutely enjoyed drawing their dresses. I now understand why people love making fantasy webcomics because people love it but also because it's so easy to draw characters when they are in very pretty dresses. You don't even have to draw the legs, it's perfect!
Finishing Off This Sketch
I was talking with my friend Wendy about my previous plan when making an episode of this series. I planned to create a webcomic of what I am doing now but add two more senses, one that shows Rose’s mother's death and the other where we get introduced to Rose when she is 18 years old. However, when talking with my friend Wendy, I realized that with the amount of time I have left, it's probably a good idea to leave it off here. This meant I had to create a phrase at the end that would grab the audience's attention.
Wendy also suggested that if I was to make another episode, I should just skip straight to Rose all grown up and living with her father, I should skip over her mother's death because that is something I can save and be told on another episode. This will be used as a mystery in the story and could be told later, lets say when Valko and Rose is alone talking about where they came from.
This was a really good idea so I took her advice.
Here is another final strip on my webcomic. This one is the argument between the priest and Rose’s mother. I'm very proud of this one, Isabella is very pretty and was very fun to draw. Also, the script was very fun to come up with because of how much I relate to this argument. I do not believe in the resistance of god so I always question it and find so many holes in the stories, I always believe in the science of the world so making a character question the norm is very powerful to me.
Another Webcomic Strip
Here is the final look at one of the strips. This one dose into detail about their theory of how the world was created. I've already explained this to you before but making this was quite fun, colouring it was very fun and I enjoyed figuring out how to design these panels.
