yichen lets out a small gasp followed by a squeal, eyes blown wide at the notification. he was laying on his bed, scrolling down a shopping app because suddenly it was hot as hell in seoul and he had lost a lot of weight during promotions. but lord and behold, a notification from an unknown number popped up and now yichen was panicking. to think he had dozens of pictures of the model saved on his phone for various reasons, made his chest hurt. in no time had had added him to his contacts.

yichen grabbed the nearest pillow and screamed into it. two minutes had passed. fuck.

when seunghan was in middle school, he performed at a dance contest, one of his first performances on a real stage, in front of a large amount of people. this is where he gets his first love call to the world of the famous. a strange man approached him to hand him his card. on it had the words “worldwide media” a recruiting manager. this is the card that got seunghan into his audition, into his path of fame, friendship, and MISERY all the same. this card is something that seunghan holds to a lot of value, even though it became an object that caused him pain; he thinks of it as something that brought him both good and bad. to this day, the card remains laminated inside one of his treasured books.

there was this sort of ritual with the boys that he use to do, when they would just have a full meal together and the boys would act rambunctious. it was one of those days when seunghan would pan over all their faces, the loud and ugly scrunched up face that only a person in true happiness could form     it was that kind. he loved those moments when he could forget about how much practice would soul-suck the fun out of his life. it was these moments that made seunghan feel like it was truly worth everything.

when seunghan first realized his love for dance, he was twelve years old. he’d been taking dancing lessons for so many years already. but when he became serious was when he earned his first solo and standing ovation. seunghan realized that dance was something he wanted to do for real, and for life. somewhat of a scary and definite thought for a boy of only twelve years old.
