‘  tony, c’mon. you’ve got that look in your eyes. you can’t hide it from me. tell brother eli what’s on your mind?  ’ the male interrogated, arching his eyebrows at the male. they were so attached at the hip that nothing was taboo now. ‘  spill the tea.  ’

tony  warily  looked  over  at  eli  &  raised  his  eyebrows .     they  knew  each  other  too  much  to  know  when  something  was  up .     he  did  know    something    but  he  wasn’t  too  sure  if  he  should  tell .     it  wasn’t   BIG   news  but  there  has  been  some  gossip  going  on  around  town .     when  you  work  at  a     favorite  hot  spot ,     you  get  to  hear  all  the  juicy  stories    floating  in  &  out  of  people’s  minds  .              “      well    . . .      ”              he  started .     tony  took    a  deep  breath    before  grinning  widely  &  shifting  his  position  to  fully  face  his  friend .              “      okay ,  listen ,  you  know  that  new  guy    --    what’s  his  name ?    --    that  croft  guy ,  the  journalist .     apparently ,  he’s  here  doing  a  little  expose  on  our  little  town .     some  people  have  said  that  he’s  up  to  no  good  but  it’s  all  just  speculation  right  now .     i’ve  got  some  people  looking  more  into  his  background ,  ya  know  like  actually  seeing  if  he’s  an  actual  journalist  &  all  that  crap .      ”

drawing and tattooing were the two things ezra loved most in the world. more often than not, you could find him at home or in the shop, hunched over in an awkward position, mind completely focused on creating the perfect piece his customer. as he waited for his afternoon appointment to arrive, he took his design out, adding last minute touches and modifications to it before they arrived. upon hearing the bell on top of the shops door ring, he looked up, bright and welcoming smile on his face. “hi there!” he beamed, “are you my 2 o’clock?”

emerson  had  always  thought  about  getting  a  tattoo  but  he  never  really  had  an  idea  for  one .     after  some  thought  about  what’s  really  important  to  him ,  he  came  to  the  decision  of  getting  the  day  he  was  adopted  surrounded  by  some  small  flowers .     who  better  to  do  the  tattoo  than  his    younger  brother ?     emerson  walked  in  with  a    huge  grin    on  his  face  &  it  grew  when  he  saw  ezra .              “      i  do  believe  so ,      ”              he  said .              “      how  d’you  feel  about  tatting  up  your  older  brother ?     ‘cause  if  you  get  anything  wrong ,   you’re  dead .      ”              he  narrowed  his  eyes  slightly ,  trying  to  appear  as  if  he  was  serious .

with the bowl secured in his hand, eli ambled over to the table number that was printed on the order receipt and glanced down at it, reading out the orders one by one. as he began to place them onto the table, he took a glance down at the people sat at the table and paused for a moment. he was daydreaming, perhaps about the person at the table or perhaps at how delicious their order looked. when he came back to reality, he stumbled over his words slightly, ‘  uh, sorry, i got a bit lost then, can’t ignore a pretty face,  ’ he admitted with a nervous chuckle, as he attempted to come up with an excuse quickly. ‘  enjoy your treats.  ’ he smirked awkwardly, before he began to turn on his heel to walk back behind the counter.

his  eyes  followed  elijah  as  he  went  to  deliver  the  most  recent  dine - in .     tony  was    just  barely  out    of  eatshot ,  so  he  could  hear  what  eli  was  saying .     he  had  bite  down  on  his  lip  to  stop  himself  from  laughing .     turning  on  his  heel ,  he  faced  the  back  counter  &  wiped  it  down  with  his  hand ,  trying  to    appear    busy .              “      i  can’t  believe  you  said  that ,      ”              he  whispered  over to  elijah  when  he  was  closer .              “      so ,  was  it  actually  a    pretty  face    or  did  someone  walk  by  the  window ?      ”              tony  smirked ,  teasing  as  he  bumped  up  into  eli’s  shoulder .

“well,  my sister and her husband decided that they were going on vacation without their little girl which means it’s just ellie and her aunt hannah this week.  and s o m e b o d y loves their aunt hannah,  doesn’t she?”  there’s nothing in the world that hannah loves more than babies and toddlers,  related to her or not.  “i didn’t sleep last night,  but that’s okay!”

a  smile  broadened  on  emerson’s  lips  as  he  took  a  step  closer .        he  was  always  fond  of  babies  &  toddlers ,  they  held  such  a     sweet  innocence     that  nothing  else  could  be     compared .              “     aww !     she’s    such     a  cutie ,  hannah .    ”              seeing  one  made  him  long  for  his  own .     he  always  thought  about  having  his  own  kids  &  when  he  came  across  one ,  it  made  his  heart  ache      --      softly  yet  still  there .              “      i     don’t  doubt     that  you  didn’t  sleep  but  was  she  really   THAT   fussy ?     ”
