70. See A Movie Together And Remember Their Favorite Scenes-YoonMin
Firstly, Jimin and Taehyung are both Genderbent.
Jimin smiles as the credits roll; the movie was amazing! She can’t wait until it comes out as a DVD so she can buy it and watch it over and over again! Still smiling brightly, she looks over excitedly at her boyfriend, “Oppa-”
Cutting herself off, she allows her smile to fade into frown, eyes losing their sparkle as they rest on Yoongi’s sleeping form. With a sigh she throws her phone into her purse, staring silently before reaching over to gently shake Yoongi’s shoulder, softly calling out to him.
Yoongi startles violently, sitting up straight in the theatre chair, eyes looking around in a hazy panic, sleep still present in his features as he hastily rubs at his eyes. After glancing around all of the theatre Yoongi returns his eyes to Jimin, internally cringing when he’s met with a small smile brimming with disappointment. “Jiminnie-”
Standing abruptly, Jimin hangs her purse on her shoulder, smiling at Yoongi as she moves around his still sitting figure, “C’mon, oppa. Let’s go home. I’m tired.”
“What about din-” Yoongi’s cut off by Jimin shaking her head, small smile still present and it sends waves of guilt through Yoongi’s entire being.
“I’m not hungry, oppa. But thank you.”
With a sigh, Yoongi finally get up and follows Jimin out of the theatre, pretending it doesn’t freeze his heart when Jimin shoves her hands into her jacket pocket right as he reaches for one. Nothing makes him feel like a shittier person than when he makes his baby girl sad. All Jiminnie had asked of him this week for her choice of Friday-Date was for Yoongi to go see this movie with her, and “….and maybe a nice dinner, too, oppa? If-if you don’t mind! We can always eat at home, too! I can always cook something!” He feels like a horrible boyfriend, knowing that-like always-the sad look in her eyes will ride his soul forever. He nods to himself, determined to make it up to her.
Taehyung sighs, carding her fingers through Jimin’s hair as Jungkook plops down on the bed next to them, “I don’t know why you asked him to even watch that movie with you, Minnie.”
Jungkook nods in agreement, not liking his noona when she’s not constantly in his face for affection, “I agree. Hyung isn’t the RomCom type, why would you think he’d watch the movie and not be bored?”
Jimin stays silent for a few seconds, concentrating on Taehyung’s hand in her hair to prevent herself from crying in a mixture of frustration and sadness, “…I was hoping he’d do it for me…”
Jungkook frowns deeply, remembering how sensitive Jimin can get over her relationship with Yoongi and her own self-worth in his eyes. It doesn’t help Yoongi’s case that their routine date last week never happened. The older man going out with a few people from work instead of their planned date, not even bothering to call Jimin to let her know. The younger having already called all of their friends to see if they’d heard from him, staying up until almost three in the morning, anxiously waiting for a phone call with any kind of news about Yoongi; only to have him swagger into their apartment, completely trashed, without so much as a “hi” before collapsing into bed.
Jungkook and Taehyung were far from pleased when Jimin showed up at their apartment, face streaked with tears and eyes still red, stuttering out the night’s events before collapsing on the couch. What pissed Taehyung off the most was that Jimin distantly explained, “but oppa is okay. I changed his clothes for him the best I could and-and left him some Tylenol and a-a water bottle on the night stand…oppa’s okay, just…just asleep…”
In the comfort of their own room Taehyung had violently hoped Yoongi’s hangover would cause him excruciating pain all of the following day, sympathetic tears in her own eyes harshly rubbed away by hands shaking in aggravation.
Jungkook had silently agreed with her.
Shaking himself from his thoughts, Jungkook heaves a sigh when he sees Taehyung has shifted to braiding Jimin’s hair instead of just petting it, laying completely glued to the other girl’s side. He nudges Jimin with his elbow gently, smiling when she looks at him in question, “Hyung was probably just super tired, Jimin. He’d do anything for you. You know that.”
Jimin nods, smile widening, ignoring Taehyung as she mutters under her breath “except stay awake in a theatre”. She loves Yoongi and knows that Yoongi loves her, and that seven o’clock on a Friday night, Yoongi is completely spent. When he gets home tonight, Jimin will tell Yoongi that she isn’t upset with him anymore and that he can stop looking at her like his heart is breaking.
Puffing her cheeks out in a huffing pout, Jimin crosses her arms over her chest. Eyes flickering over the empty apartment, before sighing and making her way into the kitchen. Yoongi isn’t home. Which is weird for an early Saturday afternoon. She rummages through the cabinets before turning to the fridge with a determined glint in her eyes. She’ll surprise Yoongi with a nice dinner.
Nodding to herself she rips the refrigerator door open with a happy bounce to her step, freezing at the giant white paper on the top shelf with her name on it. Hesitating slightly but grabbing it nonetheless(it was clearly Yoongi’s handwriting, she’d be able to tell that in the dark), her eyes widen at the message, confusion settling in her mind.
Sorry I’m not home. Ran to the market down the street. Meet me?’
“O…kay?” Jimin is confused. Yoongi never usually goes to the market without her. Heck! She even has to beg and plead and pout and promise things that make her blush to get him to get up every third Saturday. Shrugging she makes her way back to the door, slipping her shoes and coat back on, glancing once more around the apartment in confusion before locking he door behind her.
“Oppa.” Gritting her teeth in aggravation Jimin hits the end call button on her phone roughly, shoving the device in her pocket. Why would Yoongi tell her to meet him here if he wasn’t going to answer his phone?! What was the point in that?! Screw a nice dinner, Jimin thinks to herself, crossing her arms over her chest with a huff of annoyance.
Jimin lets out a small yelp as she’s bumped into, flailing dramatically to right herself, gasping slightly when long fingers wrap around her wrist tightly, tugging her upright.
“Hey! Sorry about that. I wasn’t looking where I was going and, well-no. No. That’s a lie. I was looking where I was going. I actually saw you wandering around a few aisles over and-uh, um. You’re cute?”
Jimin gapes at the bashful smile on the young man’s face, eyes flickering around nervously as a few other customers look on, whispering behind their hands with smiles and cooing at the cute, flustered young man. Looking down at the hand on her wrist, Jimin bites her lip as images of last night flood her mind before she looks up at the man patiently waiting on her response. “You’re…kinda cute, too. I’m Jimin.”
“Can I ask you out for coffee? Or is that too forward?”
“Well,” Jimin gently pulls her wrist from his hand, smoothing her own hands down the jacket covering over her skirt, pushing a strand of loose hair behind her ear, fiddling with one of her piercings. Still biting her bottom lip, Jimin glances around her, their small audience waiting anxiously for her answer, “Okay. Coffee sounds good and not too forward.”
“Awesome. Great. Um. Now? Would…now be okay?”
Smiling slightly at the hesitance in the question Jimin nods, “Yeah. Now would be good. There’s a Starbucks just down the street, if that’s okay?”
The young man nods agreeably, shoving his hands into his black skinny jeans, eager smile morphing into a slight smirk, “Yeah. I love Starbucks. You can grab whatever you want, my treat.”
Jimin follows the young man out of the market, sweeping her eyes around the store quickly before hurrying to fall into step next to him. She rambles slightly about her favorite Frappuccino, him humming and answering any question she may ask as the make their way to the café down the street and to the left, his hand at the small of her back as they cross the street together. She flushes softly when he gives a dramatic bow as he opens the door for her, raising her hand to try and cover the giggle escaping her lips.
With a smirk, the young man follows her up to the counter, shaking his head slightly at the way she rambles off her order, stepping aside to allow him to place his own order in. Once they’ve gotten their drinks, they sit down across from each other, talking slightly in between sipping their drinks. They end up talking for hours, laughing and giggling at little things, not paying attention to the sun setting in the window next to them, only leaving when one of the baristas comes over and tell them that they were closing.
“I…had a really good time. Can…I see you again? Maybe?”
Feeling her face turn red Jimin bites her bottom lip for what feels like the hundredth time that day, “I…yes. I’d like that.”
“Great! Do you want me to drop you off somewhere? My cars just down the street at the market.”
Nodding and thinking quickly, Jimin smiles hesitantly, “Sure. Thank you.”
“So. Let me get this straight.” Taehyung paces around the living, hands flying everywhere as she speaks, “First he misses the movie, decides that sleeping is a better idea. Then, when you decide-against my better judgement, might I add-that you’re going to forgive him, he comes up with the idea to play out a scene you remember mentioning as a favorite?”
Jimin nods, a happy smile seemingly permanent as it had been their when Taehyung had answered her door when Yoongi dropped Jimin off. With a happy sigh, Jimin leans half against the couch and half against an amused Jungkook, another dreamy sigh leaving her red bitten lips, eyes closing happily, “Yes. He even ran straight into me, Tae. Almost knocking me over and everything. Just like in the movie.”
Jungkook ruffles Jimin’s hair, ignoring her whine of protest, tossing Taehyung a look, “You can stay in the spare room, noona. We don’t mind being an accomplice in hyung’s weird forgiveness courting.”
“Thanks, Jungkookie. Taetae, can I borrow some clothes?” Jimin flashes Taehyung another bright smile and Taehyung sort of deflates. As much as she wants to be mad at Yoongi for upsetting Jimin, her best friend seems to be ridiculously happy with Yoongi’s way of asking for forgiveness. Not that Taehyung can blame her. Yoongi seems to be going hard at asking for it.
With a sigh, Taehyung gives Jimin a small smile, “Sure, Jiminnie. Gimme a sec.”
Jimin wakes up quickly, blearily looking around the room and thinking vaguely that it wasn’t her room before Taehyung’s weight is knocking the air out of her. “Tae-what?”
“There’s a note for you on the front porch, along with a box. If I didn’t know Yoongi-hyung I’d think he was a stalker.” Jungkook answers when Taehyung just continues to squeeze the life out of a barely conscious Jimin, “Baby. Jiminnie has to breathe.”
“Oh.” Taehyung looks at the slightly older girl under her, giggling slightly when Jimin rolls her eyes at her, sliding off of her before skipping over to where Jungkook is watching leaning against the doorframe, pressing a quick kiss to Jungkook’s cheek, “C’mon, Jiminnie~”
Jimin follows the two out into the living room, tilting her head at the box on the coffee table, her name in Yoongi’s handwriting. Kneeling on the floor, Jimin opens the box quickly, pulling out one of her favorite sundresses, a bright blue flowy one with a white bow. As “cliché” as it is(Jungkook’s words, not hers) it’s always one she likes to wear. It makes her feel exceptionally pretty, especially when she wears her white baby-doll flats. The ones that Yoongi has also put in the box. Along with another note.
‘Hey, so. I hope you’re not too busy but I was thinking a nice breakfast at the café next to the park and then, maybe, a walk in that park a few blocks from the supermarket? Can you meet me there at around nine-ish?’
Quickly glancing at the clock on the kitchen’s stove, Jimin jumps up, rushing to the bathroom, calling over her shoulder, “Kookie! Can you drive me to the supermarket?!”
Taehyung and Jungkook share a look of amusement before they go to their room to change into appropriate clothing themselves.
“So…this is nice.” Yoongi smiles, lacing his fingers with Jimin’s as the younger girl swings them, walking slowly down the park’s pathway.
Jimin nods, a small tint of red on her cheeks as she looks at him, turning a bit more red when she sees he’s staring, “It is. Thank you.”
“Thank you for agreeing with this date.” Yoongi grins, glancing at his watch, “But I’m afraid I’ve got to cut this date short. I’ve got something I need to do. Should I drop you back off?”
“Oh…” Jimin frowns slightly, not wanting Yoongi to vanish again after such a nice morning, “Um. Yeah. Okay. That’d…that’d be nice. Thank you.”
Jimin is silent as they drive, frowning when she realizes Yoongi isn’t taking them back to their apartment but to Taehyung’s instead. Is he planning something else? There was only one more scene that Jimin can remember gushing over. Surely Yoongi wouldn’t…? Biting her lip in hopes of hiding her hopeful grin, Jimin glances at Yoongi, watching him drive with a contented smile, “Thank you.”
Yoongi glances at her out of the corner of his eyes, smile widening at the look he’s receiving, purposely answering her wrong, “I feel better knowing you get to your place in one piece.”
Jimin knows Yoongi knows that not what she meant but she won’t push it. Getting out of the car when they pull up to the apartment complex, Jimin waves at Yoongi as she watches the older man drive away, letting herself into her friends’ apartment, leaning against the door with another dreamy sigh.
“Wow. Taehyung I don’t think I’ve seen Jimin this love-struck since Yoongi first started courting her.” Jungkook teases from where he and Taehyung are lounging on the couch, tossing a grin Jimin’s way.
Humming in agreement, Taehyung pulls her feet closer to herself so Jimin can sit on the couch with them, lightly nudging her foot against Jimin’s side, “At least it’s proof he’s still in love.”
“Yeah…” Jimin sighs, a happy smile lighting up her face.
Jimin smiles at her phone, rereading the text message from Yoongi; Hey Baby. Can you come home, now? I have a surprise for you. Tell Jungkook to drop you off. It’s dark and I don’t trust that beautiful face of yours out this late by yourself.’
Skipping the last few steps to their door, Jimin slowly opens their door, peeking around the edge curiously, eyes widening, filling with happiness, at the floor covered in rose petals, a clear path marking the way to the kitchen. Slipping her shoes off she follows the marked pathway, anticipation running through her as she starts hearing the faint music floating along the air softly. She gives a small gasp when she sees Yoongi in the kitchen, fully dresses in her favorite suit, the form fitting black material hugging Yoongi in all the right places.
He smiles at her, pulling at a chair and offering her the seat, pushing the chair in when she’s comfortable. She grins at the empty take out boxes piled in the trash can before focusing on him serving her a plate of all her favorites before taking a seat across from her. They eat silently, the only sounds in the room being the soft music and the clinking of silverware on porcelain.
Jimin startles when Yoongi takes her empty plate from her, too busy staring at him to realize he’s done. Once the dishes are placed in the sink, Yoongi presses a button on the remote Jimin didn’t realize was in the kitchen with them, closing her eyes as she listens to the soft ballad coming in louder. Feeling the air in front of her shift, Jimin slowly allows her eyes to open, smiling at the hand held out to her, gently placing her own on it.
Yoongi leads them through a few preplanned songs, laying his head on Jimin’s when the smaller melt into his embrace, arms firming locking around Yoongi’s neck, his own hands wrapping tightly against her waist. “Thank you, oppa.”
Yoongi grins, bending to press a small kiss to her cheek, “I have a surprise for you.”
Jimin sucks in a breath, as Yoongi tugs away from her, eyeing the older man frantically when he pulls a small box from his pocket. Her hands go to her mouth as she shakes her head, “O-Oppa. You can stop. I get it. You were watching the movie with me. Oppa. You don’t-don’t have to-“
Yoongi yanks her hand away, pressing a kiss to her slightly trembling lips, wrapping her in his arms again and swaying them slightly, “I’ve actually had it for a little over two months, to be honest. I’m just always so scared you’ll say no.”
Jimin gives a watery giggle, clutching onto Yoongi in a slightly desperate hold, “Stupid, o-oppa. I’d never say no.”
With a wide grin, Yoongi pulls away from her, searching her face for something, capturing her lips in a frantic kiss when he finds what he’s looking for. With a breathless gasp, he crushes her back to his chest, “Is-is that a yes, Jiminnie?”
Giggling fully, Jimin teases, “Maybe if you ask nicely.”
“OH MY GODS! YOU’RE GETTING MARRIED, JIMINNIE! WAIT! YOU DID SAY YES, RIGHT?! OH MY GODS! KOOKIE! JIMINNIE AND YOONGI-OPPA ARE GETTING MARRIED!!!!! I AM DEFINETLY GOING TO BE THE BRIDESMAID! OH MY GODS! Kookie when are you going to propose?!”
