❝It sounds interesting! Maybe I can get something for Master!❞

Disregarding the fact that Clear hardly had a thing to barter aside from what he had on his back. He did have his translucent umbrella however! It meant a great deal to him so perhaps? Though he was increasingly naive, not that that would stop him when the time came for trading! It sounded fun and with the prospect of getting something for his Master made him even more eager! 

It was deftly clear with his ecstatic tone of voice and likewise, in the way he clapped his gloved hands together. He nodded in response next, he certainly was new here however this city was much less advanced than his home, it wouldn’t be too difficult to navigate, he was sure of it! He could easily climb onto those rooftops as well, eyes beneath his gas mask glancing to and fro.

❝I am but, it shouldn’t be hard. This place is smaller than where Clear is from! Oh! You can call me Clear, is…Sin looking for anyone? Clear will help!❞

Ah, but you must have a lot of interesting treasures on hand already. I mean, the mask that you are wearing alone is awfully unique!

I've never seen anything like it before.

[ Don't mind him, he's just from another time entirely. And Sinbad did take note of 'master', perhaps wondering if this individual was involved in the war as well... But he seemed so happy!

What an entertaining person.

Ah, sadly, despite the idea of a clear umbrella seeming rather interesting, it would be hard to be useful for Sinbad, especially since where he lived, and the places he traveled, most likely did not get much rain at all. Besides, if it was offered to him, such an item could not be taken from him if it was important!!! ]

I see! Well, then allow us to embark on our adventure through these city streets together. 

May I ask where you are from? I've traveled to many places all around the world, so perhaps it may be some place that I know.

[ What kind of scale was this situation, Sinbad wondered. Was it only from around his world, or perhaps... it was something much more large and unfathomable? With such an innocent question to match with the other's naivety, he was sure to get an idea from the other young man's response. ]

It seemed that fate was on their side for the time being, seeing that the two of them just so happened to meet just moments after Masrur had awoke in this place. Also with the fact that he would be the Servant of who he was already the most loyal towards, despite the fact that this would only lead to him possibly having to fight against others that he was familiar with.

Which was irritating all on it’s own, but was easily hidden away by his expressions.

“Sin.”

Seeing that Sinbad himself seemed to approach the situation with his typical manner put the man at ease, for now. With previous thoughts being pushed to the side for the time being so he could at least respond to the humorous comments that he had so easily presented to the taller one.

“It’s not too hard… everyone here is short.”

Hey, Sin, maybe that’s why you were able to spot him so easily!! It’s not to difficult to find a red haired man who was able to stand out in a crowd with not only his intimidating aura and strange choice of clothes — at least, in this current time — but also because of his height.

He’s not even going to mention anything about the ‘wild night’, because Masrur was highly aware that his night previously certainly was not anything like that of Sinbad’s. Thankfully.

“Ja’far is going to be angry.”

[ Ja’far himself had been…not quite so well off as the other two.

It was frustrating enough being in a place where he couldn’t get anything done, but it was even more frustrating to think about how amiss things were back at home when he wasn’t there. Sinbad and the other seven were probably all slacking off, especially Sharrkan and Sinbad. He hoped, hoped more than anything that they weren’t anywhere in the close vicinity of alcohol. 

But, as worried as he’d been, it was clear that the other was here, both by the feeling he got when he was near and the fact that he could spot both of them from a mile away. It seemed as though they’d found each other easily enough—damn tall people. Swiftly and quietly, he made his way towards them, catching his name in their conversation before trying not to unleash the anger that was slowly coming to a boil underneath his skin. ]

Sin. Masrur.

[ Ja’far had his suspicions about why they’d been pulled into this. Why else would the three of them be pulled into war unless Sinbad had pulled something stupid again? Had he defiled the princess of this town? Despite these thoughts, he kept his mouth shut for the time being, not wanting to jump to conclusions. He’d allow the other to try and make up an excuse before he got angry at him. ]

Surely you have an idea of what’s going on…

[ This was how it always was. Ja’far would ask a question hesitantly, Sinbad would fail to answer, and there would be a violent reaction out of him, usually before Masrur could stop him. The ex-assassin—or, now he was just normally an assassin?—was already worried enough as to why he hadn’t been assigned to Sinbad’s aid, if he was here. Masrur was probably in charge of that, which, was a little confusing to him, but it wasn’t as though he didn’t trust Masrur to protect him. Deep down, Ja’far trusted all of the other seven generals and their skills.

It was still strange, though. ]

Masrur, don't make fun of his clever little joke. Mas-sense. He had to have it. Though he did have to admit that he was pretty call. "Oh come on Masrur, don't be making fun of the little people now!!" Sinbad said and probably slap him on the back with a hearty laugh.

Oh, and don't remind him. He knew.

Alas, here comes the times where his very own assistants don't even take him seriously enough. Ja'far showed up, as expected, and Sinbad of course greeted him with a smile to contrast with that grumpy look of his. 

"There's no need to look so gloom, Ja'far. Though truth is... what's going on here... I have... absolutely no idea!!"

...If only it was that easy. 

Too bad Ja'far. Sinbad of course was clumsy to the current events of the place they were in, but he could already tell what was going on. Honest. He may not always be the brightest of the bunch, but he wasn't completely dense. Though words like Master, Servant, Holy Grail that all came into his head... had no proper meaning to them, not ones that he was solidly knowledgable of, it was all obvious. 

Sinbad's face had melted from the smile that had been on his face, that to a more serious one, assessing this world's dire situation. He wished that he could be optimistic for the both of them, but it was their problem, as they were already pulled into it. There was no escape.

It was like they had been chosen, wasn't it? To go on another adventure. One that could mean life or death-- not just to them, but to everyone around them. 

"At least, that is what I wish I could be inclined to say. ...No, not even I could set aside and ignore the severity of this city's state of affairs we have all gotten ourselves into... I noticed it from the start. You've all gained it too, haven't you?

"The knowledge of this realm that we were pulled into against our will."

Oh! Someone else, and this one was more lively! Clear was inwardly glad, he liked it when people were talkative! He was all too eager to reply, though he didn’t want to come off as annoying. Though he honestly hadn’t a definition of the word! He was well caught up in his own little world. Even now, as he headed over and graciously greeted the other with a bright aura illuminating him, though one couldn’t see his face — it was clear by his muffled tone of voice, the jubilation he felt upon salutation. 

❝A traveling merchant? What kind of things do you sell? Oh, but what kind of money is there here? The city is big but..it doesn’t look too difficult to get around! I can help!❞

Yes! Ah, but... normally my assistants that travel around with me keep track of the supply for me, so I guess I am nothing more than a regular fellow for now. But! We always have treasure on hand.

Even if we may not have the currency that is circulated in this area, that should be no problem! Once my assistants arrive, we should be able to barter our goods. Ah, and if you too are in need some of the money here, I would be very happy to lend you some as soon as I am able to.

[ Yes, he is kind of a careless guy, and truth is, he isn't a merchant, he's actually a king, which explains the flashiness! Though it's not like Clear was going to realize this about him. But maybe perhaps if their relationship grew, and Sinbad became interested in him, he'd willingly share the truth! ]

Is that so? But from the sound of it, aren't you a newcomer as well?

"Masrur!"

They were to be Master and Servant, Sinbad could easily locate the Finalist as he seemed to have a sense of where Masrur was in this town. Strange, though! Ja'far was usually the one that seemed to look out for him and worry about his actions the most. Though, Masrur was just as close to Sinbad, so it still made sense. Sinbad wasn't entirely sure how servants were picked to Masters, but he would be sure to tease Ja'far maybe a little bit... Surely he wasn't plotting to kill him again, hahaha!

...If he was here. And hey! If he was, the king was not going to fret over where he was, as he already knew Ja'far could never stray to far from him. He did have his unique 'Sin-sense' after all.

" Just as I had thought. You are here in this place as well, and I managed to find you so quickly! How fortunate. Indeed, it appears that I have my own Mas-sense now! Haha!"

He sounded completely like he had no clue what was going on, but he knew perfectly well. Informed on the situation from the moment he got there... Masters, servants, the Holy Grail, wish granting... Sinbad couldn't say that he understood it all, but he knew that he would have to fight in a war. Not that it was anyones fault, some arcane magic seemed to just turn out of control, because the thing called the Grail had been cracked.

Though... for a place where war was bound to take place, it seemed rather peaceful, and people seemed very unsuspecting at what was really going down. How was it being carried out? ...He would have to kill others to win this one, so protecting people would prove to be... an impossible task. Something that was sure to be wanted by both Sinbad and Masrur, as Master and Servant.

"......It must have been a wild night for the both of us, then."

Ah!

Hello, my name is Sin! I am a traveling merchant, and I must have taken a very wrong turn somewhere. I am new to this place, so I was wondering if you could introduce me to customs that this city abides by.

Since it seems my stay will be longer than I'd like, I would hate to cause any misunderstandings in the near future!

It seems I spot with my little eye, a Ja'far as well!
