Education: I have made a Standard.
Linguists: you fucked up a perfectly good vernacular is what you did. look at it. it's got elitism.
Sheâs procrastinating
who
the girl reading this
You know, one thing i like about Mulan is how Yao, Ling and Chien Po donât really seem to care about the fact that Mulan is a girl.
I mean, when they find out, they are visibly perplexed
But even so, they rush and try to help her when sheâs about to get killed
After this, they all seem quite depressed about having to leave her behind (and when Shang ignores her)
And when she shows up and takes action, they gladly follow her lead
And they even rock some crossdressing, like she did
(btw they just missed a great opportunity to make Shang crossdress here, shame on you movie)
Honestly, i just think this needs more appreciation. Because to them, Mulan didnât have to prove herself again, just because she is a girl. She already earned their friendship and respect when she was âPingâ, and that was enough.
You have a thing at 2:00 PM so you set a reminder for 1:00 PM because you donât want to be late, but you should eat by 12:00 PM. That means you should start preparing food by 11:30 AM, but you want to double check or confirm the appointment before 11:00 AM before everyone goes to lunch. So if you want to finish your other tasks by 10:00 AM, you ought to start at 8:00 AM, which means youâve got to wake up at 7:30 AM and you may as well get ready to go out then ahead of time, and thatâs how something that starts at 2:00 PM effectively starts at 7:30 AM and lasts the entire day.
ME. ME. ME.
I see weâre no longer being subtle
This got too realâŠLol.
When you wonder why ainât nothing in my tagged me but sermons lol
you ever been so stressed that youre calm
a harry potter au where potions is taught by gordon ramsay
neville: *messes up his potion*
gordon ramsay: *holds neville between two slices of bread* what are you
neville: an idiot sandwich
no no no!
Imagine that this is Gordon Ramsay a la Masterchef Junior
Neville: *messes up the potion, realizes it, starts crying quietly*
GR: Whatâs going on?
Neville: *explains how he messed up*
GR: Oh gosh okayâŠwe can fix this, donât cry, see, itâs fine now? Just be more careful when youâre adding the Newtâs eyes, all right? Drop them in gently. There we go. No more tears.
Neville: *giggles wetly, wiping eyes*
Yes, he only screams when heâs dealing with people that claim to know what theyâre doing and clearly dont, when heâs teaching heâs very kind and patient because theyâre still learning.
Heâd probably do the bread thing to Malfoy.
nononononono. I get that Malfoy is a bit of a twat, but heâs still a kid. Itâd be the teachers fucking up that heâd have trouble with.
Ramsay: All you had to do was treat it with a fucking Beozar!Â
Slughorn: It was a stressfu-
Ramsay:Â How long have you been teaching potions?!
or
Ramsay: So youâre going to raise this boy SPECIFICALLY so he can die as part of your twisted little scheme?Â
Dumbledore: Itâs for the greater good, professor.Â
Ramsay: The greater fucking good?! *holds two slices of bread either side of dumbledoorâs face* What are you?Â
Dumbledore: Am I, per chance, an idiot sandwich?Â
Ramsay: Yes, you fucking are.Â
Okay, now I can reblog it!
@marauders4evr
Fantastic!

Iâm in love
I MUST HAVE REBLOGGED A THOUSAND TIMESSSS
My favorite Gordon Ramsey moment is from the latest season of Master Chef Jr.
Gordon had run in to help a group of struggling kids with a team challenge and one of the older kids, a 12 year old boy, wasnât passing attention while taking a pan out of the oven and not only spilled all the food but scalded Gordon.
Itâs clear Gordonâs leg is in pain. Heâs been badly burned without warning. But he doesnât scream. He doesnât yell, not even in pain, and he doesnât go off on the child who is now frozen in fear. He calmly tells the child to set the pan down and to close the oven, safety first. Then tells him to go restart the food he was making, calm instructions.
My husband and I grew up in abusive homes where any mistake meant parents getting angry (my husband is terrified of spills or broken glasses because that meant beatings growing up, for me, anything going wrong, that could upset my mother, even if it wasnât my fault meant screaming and emotional abuse).
I didnât know someone could be so calm. That someone could not get angry, and put aside what theyâre feeling (in this case a lot of physical pain) and not take it out on those around them, even when someone around them had messed up, because that person is a child.
Gordon Ramsey is a survivor of child abuse himself and as an adult, the most non-abusive person ever when it comes to kids.
im going to cry can gordon ramsey be my parent this sound so beautiful
Please take a moment to picture Gordon Ramsay taking over Potions when Snape becomes the DADA professor (instead of Slughorn) and not only being horrified when he realizes how terrified the students are that heâll verbally abuse them when they mess up in Potions class but when he overhears how Snape treats students. Like can you IMAGINE the level of RAGE and CONTEMPT that Ramsay would harbor towards Snape? The asshat wouldnât have made it to the end of HBP. Ramsay wouldâve hexed his ass to kingdom come.
Rebloging ALL of this because Chef Ramsay is THE MAN!

Chef Ramsay would have become the kidsâ favourite teacher and you canât take that away from me.
Imagine him dealing with Umbridge
Iâm really not over this calendar I saw today
If you canât find a place on your blog for Patrick Stewart in a bathtub dressed like a lobster, then your blog probably doesnât deserve such majesty anyway.
It has returned to my dash and I cannot fight the compulsion to reblogâŠ
the patrick lobster appears only once in a thousand years, reblog for good luck
"Is ableism an actual thing?"
Yes.
Many of you donât seem to believe that it exists so here are a few statistics and please keep in mind this is a very short list and doesnât get into anything even as âtrivialâ as representation in the media or as specific as how high these numbers go when you include intersections of race and sexuality and anything besides binary gender
Being disabled in public was illegal in the United States until the mid-1970s (x)
In the UK most disabled people, approximately 400,000, are still not allowed to leave their homes (x)
Disabled people are still legally allowed to be paid slave wages, as little as $0.22 an hour (x)
To receive disability benefits, which can be around $700 a month, a United States resident can be required to not have any savings, to own any property, to never inherit money or property, to never have more than $2,000 in their checking account, to never work for anything above the aforementioned slave wages, as well as many other restrictions (x)
Disabled people are not allowed to get married unless they were born able-bodied and became disabled through a work accident (x)
Disabled people, even simply the seeing or hearing divergent, often have their children taken away from them by social services for no reason (x)
Disabled women are twice as likely to victims of domestic violence as abled women (x)
Disabled women are less likely to seek help for their abuse, and oftentimes the little help the receive is not appropriate (x)
Disabled women are more likely to experience abuse over a longer period of time and suffer more severe injuries as a result (x)
Reports of sexual violence against disabled women range between 51% and 79% (x)
Forced sterilization was legal in the United States until 2014 and was most often performed on the disabled and/or women of color (x)
85% of disabled women have experienced domestic violence (x)
80% of women with intellectual disabilities have been sexually assaulted, and 50% of those women had been assaulted more than 10 times. (x)Â
Half of the people murdered by police officers are disabled (x)
Family members of disabled individuals are not only legally allowed to âput downâ their disabled family member but they are often praised in the community and media as heroes for it (x)
Segregation of the disabled still exists; from designated parking spaces to refusal of hiring disabled people in visible jobs to denial of basic education (x)
Another great example of ableism: the fact that most of the comments on this post are about how itâs ridiculous I included handicap parking under an example of segregation
So let me explain once again,
That was an example of how segregation can range from understandable to the inhumane
Not to say that things like segregated parking doesnât have its disadvantages. Disabled people are very often violently and sexually accosted in the spaces because would be abusers know exactly where to find us and can very discreetly follow us or force themselves into our cars. I donât know that anyoneâs done statistics on it but I also donât know if anyone who is disabled who hasnât been assaulted in handicap parking.
These spaces are also huge issues of contempt able-bodied people have against the disabled. You are probably more familiar with the story of Rosa Parks being asked to leave her seat because a more privileged (white) person wanted her seat and therefore she was expected to give it to them. This is how segregation works. Handicap parking is often used by able-bodied people and although this is illegal, when a disabled person notifies security they are often met with hostility and the chances of it ending up in assault either by the security themselves or the able-bodied person who parked goes up exponentially so itâs often not an option to do anything but quietly leave.
Very rarely people do get ticketed for parking illegally in the spaces but itâs usually only ever done when officers are trying to meet a quota of fines given out and the backlash is never aimed at the police, itâs aimed at the disabled community. A few years ago in central California where I live the police âcracked downâ on people illegally using the segregated parking spots and the general statistics for disabled people being assaulted skyrocketed. Â
There's nothing left for me, I keep thinking back to when you said 'we own the night'
