I think for me, um, the most depressing lyric from Evermore (besides the entirety of Happiness) is when she sings "gain the weight of you then lose it" in Tolerate It. To me, this means she would binge eat her problems and feelings to literally gain the weight of an entire man. And maybe "lose it" doesn't refer to the weight but to lose her mind.... These are my ideas.
