i wonder how much of the way that weezer has..... ended up..... is related to the reception of pinkerton upon its release. like maybe its our fault that the teal album exists. maybe we can only blame ourselves

im getting dani to listen to pinkerton for the first time on the way home from my therapy tomorrow #normalboy so im revisiting it in advance and um. guy who forgot about across the sea

#i feel like its important to listen to for posterity and so u can get the full picture of how much of a sleazeball scumbag etc etc rivers is #but idk u can hear it once and then not again... ever... i get it expresses like his vulnerability at the time and also can be like a madam #butterfly parallel. but like whatever lol.#imho its the song that keeps pinkerton hovering below perfect. like a 94% or so. i think its a little embarrassing when ppl call it a #perfect album. like its easy to have our perspective clouded by the records legacy and influence and maybe that alone is worth making it a #10/10 butttttt... its not perfect ! sorry
