“Please stop going into my Mothers room Lilith, she has many precious things and private memory’s stored in there.”
Softie bedtime snuggle kisses from the strong, sensitive, murdering girlfriend.
@cruentuscomplectus (@remedialmelody)
Marlina let out a small hum at the kiss Lilith gave we well they cuddledbefore bed.
“You know Lily, I can’t sleep if you distract me like that.”
⊰ ❦ ⊱—; Lilith was just as tired as Marlina, if not more. The couple had been running, avoiding the eyes of both the Senate and the Hunter’s Association for weeks. It made Lil wonder how Shizuka dodged everyone for so long . . . In this little quiet space they shared, who could blame the hybrid for stealing a kiss or two? It must have been the first time they could actually allow their guard to fall.
❝ Lina, do we really need to sleep right now? ❞ she half-whined with a hint of exhaustion in her voice. ❝ If I sleep, then I’ll miss these lovely tired moments between us. ❞
Marlina rolled back towards Lilith, putting her arm over her and resting her hand on the back of her fellow hybrid’s neck. She pulled her into a kiss before she pulled away and spoke.
“If you would let me get some rest we could be at our destination that much faster, honestly Lily. I’d hoped we’d be there by now, no one will find us once we are to the castle. It’s been warded for decades from the hunters and vampires, my sister was not the only one who inherited a proficiency with spell casting.”
“Waiting out the deaths of those who wished for my marriage to be arranged after that will be quick and painless for us, and we can have as many lazy moments together as you wish.”
|| C L O S E D ||
@kiryuxhunter
“As much as Lilith may cause you a grievance I would avoid killing her if I were you; though Shizuka toyed with you, and Lilith may toy with you. I can assure you that my brother Desmond Cross would not hesitate you kill you if you were to kill one of his descendants. You would not like to know what happened to the vampire responsible for the death of Kaien’s Grandfather.”
" Lina, the vampire hunter is causing me emotional distress he's so lame hONESTLY. " -- crack it while I shower away my sins
“I will not let him kill you but you are theone who picked a fight Lilith, I love you. That doesn’t mean I fight your battles foryou when I don’t need to.”
“You are entirely shameless aren’t you Lilith Averill.” Marlina stated, standing up straight as she regained control of her real body. As she did she lightly tugged her loves hand up, hoping to urge her out of the coffin so that they could begin to flee. Not only would people surely be looking for Elizabeth, but when it was realized she hadn’t returned they would definitely begin searching for her as well. Besides that she chose to disregard the others lewd comment, instead focusing more on the question she had asked.
“Of course, but surely you already knew my answer. Lily we really must go now, I know a place we can stay that the Association and Senate do not know of. But you’ll have to be a little conscious to try not to destroy it, which I’m sure wont happen if someone manages to tail us there. I’m S U R E that my Mother would not like the hide away that Prince William had built for her to no longer exist.” She knew Lilith after all, which was why she was saying as much. Though they had only just admitted to each other their feelings, the other hybrid’s mind was neither pure or tame.
⊰ ❦ ⊱—; It was so like Marlina to brush away Lilith’s racy comments which caused the recently awakened to grin wider than she had just moments before; her Lina was too cute– and honest. Lil had no shame whatsoever and she was probably way too fine with that.
The woman rose to her feet, daintily stepping out of her coffin and staying close to Marlina at all times. True they were being chased, but it was unlikely the hunters would find them here as she had Alistair’s power to keep this church safe. To quell some of Lina’s uncertainty, she gave the other a soft peck on the cheek before saying, ❝ Mr. Cromwell will take care of everything here. ❞ And he would– now that their business was over, he’d surely rush over to that chump of a headmaster and return what she had borrowed. ❝ He’ll serve as a distraction while we escape. ❞
❝ By the way . . . ❞ because Lilith could never do anything without having the last word, ❝ Do you really trust me so little? Darling, I would burn the entire world down if not for your presence here. You’re what . . . quiets some of my destructive impulses. ❞
As always, Marlina was right to pressure their leave. Guiding the other through the dark corridors by the hand, it seemed Alistair was already coming down the stairs once he realized Lilith was fully awake. He once again shot Lil with a look that could kill even the bravest men and harshly bumped shoulders with her as he passed the couple. Tsk, such a sensitive man. She was glad to be rid of him.
Once they were outside, it finally occurred to Lil just how serious this situation was. She was really running away with the only person who ever truly loved her. The Association’s head could never put his filthy touch to Marlina’s skin, and they were going to be free. Gleefully, she leapt up and snatched the brunette in a hug with no sign of letting go until the other pried her off. ❝ We’re actually doing this! ❞
Marlina allowed the smaller hybrids leaping hug with no complaints, wrapping her arms around her as she did--though she did not bother to stop when she did. She rather continued on, the strength of her heritage allowing her to continue on as if the girl now in her arms weighed nothing. She looked at Lilith’s face as she began talking, rather than where she was going.
“We are--and I dare say your taking the situation much less seriously than you should. We aren’t nearly fare enough away to be so casual.”
She words weren’t really a judgement, more a statement. She hadn’t expected anything less from Lilith, and the fact that she was able to take it so well and in such stride made a hint of a smile curve at her lips.

“You know Lily, I can’t sleep if you distract me like that.”
you’re my cold skin goddess APHRODITE in red
Even that wasn’t the best option to Marlina, not being able to see Lilith’s real face again…well she supposed that if she herself was still there it would be alright. But even so, she would do all that she could to be sure that it didn’t come to that. “It has never been directed at me, so tolerating the way you act has never been difficult.” The statement was true enough, though she wished that she would understand that she could not stand between-so to speak-if her and Desmond came to blows. “But I’m not sure that you killing off this girls consciousness would allow me to convince my brother to leave you be, and Desmond Cross is nothing if not persistent.” In plainer terms? She had convinced Desmond to leave Lilith be as long as Kaien and Elizabeth Cross didn’t actually die.
“I have no problem making sure that you are safe until we are out of harms reach. So please–lets go, lest someone find us.” Marlina said, moving herself to lift the hand of Lilith’s true body that was closest to her. She pulled it up and placed a small kiss to the knuckles of the dormant body, hoping that Lilith would heed her words and be quick.
⊰ ❦ ⊱—; Lilith knew very well the consequences of her actions should she find herself back to where she was now, but she didn’t quite understand why Desmond would have such an issue with it– then again, she didn’t understand any kind of love unless Marlina was involved. As far as Lil was concerned, if anyone decided to hunt her down then her niece would make a great back-up. What she lacked in strength, she at least had immortality.
The Averill daughter was largely entertained by Marlina’s kiss and couldn’t help but make a small comment on it. ❝ Before long, you’ll be kissing more than my hand. In fact, I daresay you’ll be wanting me to take the lead. ❞
She was right in wanting Lilith to hurry; she was taking too much time explaining things that could easily be discussed after they fled the country. Leaning over her comatose self, Lil channeled her will to the unconscious body and allowed her niece to slump unconscious to the floor.
A moment passed before Lilith arose from the coffin. Each vessel was different and oftentimes she subconsciously picked up traits from those she possessed, but they quickly went away when switching bodies. It took some time to adjust, and while Lil sat upright she kept her eyes closed to tease Lina– robbing her of the pleasure of gazing into garnet visions.
❝ Did you miss me? ❞
“You are entirely shameless aren't you Lilith Averill.” Marlina stated, standing up straight as she regained control of her real body. As she did she lightly tugged her loves hand up, hoping to urge her out of the coffin so that they could begin to flee. Not only would people surely be looking for Elizabeth, but when it was realized she hadn't returned they would definitely begin searching for her as well. Though they had only just admitted to each other their feelings, the other hybrid's mind was neither pure or tame.
Marlina followed quietly as Lilith led the way, being sure to keep her hand clasped in hers as she did. When they passed the doors where Alistair stood she gave the Pureblood a small nod of greeting, recognizing that he was the one who had appeared at her home a few years earlier. The glare he had settled onto Lilith however put her a bit on edge, but she was nearly certain that he wouldn’t do anything drastic–and that she could stop him if he tried to. When they made it to where Lilith’s coffin laid Marlina was about to go over and open the lid, planning on giving her own blood to help with whatever it was that was wrong with the others body. But then she was stopped.
She listened to Lilith speak, the hearts always did take the longest to heal when damaged. She knew as much from her own encounter with a particularly hateful vampire years before, one who had a problem with the fact that the Kuran line had been ‘sullied’ with hunter blood. She had taken care of him, but his power had been one she didn’t expect so there was a small amount of damage to her heart, it took a few months and regular doses of her Father’s blood to fully heal it. “I wont leave your side Lily–” she brought her hand up to the her face as she said so, hand resting on her cheek. “But I will not allow myself to force our feelings onto someone else. No matter the circumstances, I still have a bit of honor–and I like to consider myself a Lady in how I act.”
⊰ ❦ ⊱—; A chuckle escapes the ‘teen’ as she teasingly runs a finger over Marlina’s delicate and alluring lips. ❝ You are the most respectable woman I have ever met. It makes me question how you can permit my sinful behavior. ❞
She pulled away only to peel the satin veil off of her coffin and release the locks that had clasped it shut. Lazily opening the lid, Lilith made herself visible and ran a hand over her own face– it had been so long since she’d truly looked at her image, making this a literal ‘out of body’ experience. She was clothed in little more than a black nightgown, giving the impression that the person who laid in the coffin was merely sleeping, not strolling about at will. Lilith’s platinum locks had grown some length since she last visited also, reaching now to her mid-back rather than the tops of her shoulders . . . She wondered what Marlina would like more, her hair long, or short?
Turning her sight back to Marlina, Lil gave a smile, preparing to reassure her that all would turn out for the best, even if the worse happened. Lilith was as cruel as she was resourceful– there was always a contingency plan. ❝ It’s elaborate, but you won’t find reason to restrain yourself if something like that should happen. It is far from preferable, but I have no problem in completely erasing a host’s consciousness. All I would have to do is cause their heart to stop, then take their place as the body is resuscitated. Believe me, I’ve done the research. ❞
Well, it was about time to make the exchange, wasn’t it? Alistair could take the brat from here since she was, as of now, of no more use to Lilith and he would certainly stick to his word to leave Lil alone once she was finished.
❝ It makes me angry that you’ll have to watch over me while my heart recovers, but once we flee this country we won’t have anything to worry about. ❞
Even that wasn't the best option to Marlina, not being able to see Lilith's real face again...well she supposed that if she herself was still there it would be alright. But even so, she would do all that she could to be sure that it didn't come to that. “It has never been directed at me, so tolerating the way you act has never been difficult.” The statement was true enough, though she wished that she would understand that she could not stand between-so to speak-if her and Desmond came to blows. “But I'm not sure that you killing off this girls consciousness would allow me to convince my brother to leave you be, and Desmond Cross is nothing if not persistent.” In plainer terms? She pulled it up and placed a small kiss to the knuckles of the dormant body, hoping that Lilith would heed her words and be quick.
~✨~
Marlina didn’t follow how their conversation had turned into such a confession from either side, it had started off simple enough. Lilith was trying to meddle, she always tried to meddle after all. It was a hobby of hers. But it had gotten so far so quick. She stayed still for a moment longer, her delicate looking hands holding onto her Lily as closely as she could stand. She was very aware after all that this body was someone else’s, and as much as she would not force her to stay in her own body– she also would not force someone else to endure someone else’s feelings being conveyed in any way but harmless gestures.
“Yes, we should go. Though I’m sure that my brother could convince Kaien Cross not to kill you, I doubt that anyone could convince your sister Adelina of the same if she were to by chance see you possessing this girl.”
Despite her words Marlina stayed still for another moment before standing, she moved her hand to hold Lil’s though–not quite willing to relinquish contact with her fully as she led the way. Not so soon after the admission that that had both just said aloud.
⊰ ❦ ⊱—; It brings some sadness to Lil accepting her game or torture was over, but it all evens out knowing she and Marlina can escape the prying eyes of the hunters and senate both. She keeps her hand clasped tightly in her fellow hybrid’s, ready to run at a moment’s notice should someone detect them– and really, how odd of a sight the pair made. A teenager and a sophisticated woman with such a high caliber of beauty is not something people overlook.
When they finally reached the church grounds, Alistair must have sensed their presence. He stood at the broken doors, eyeing Lilith with disgust as he so often did, but it didn’t faze her and she simply swept past him with Marlina in hand. Due to the excruciating guilt he endured, Alistair was easy enough to manipulate which worked well in her favor– his conscience would never let more harm befall the girl whose life he destroyed, so who better to serve as her protector?
Taking care with each step and occasionally peeking over her shoulder check on Marlina, Lilith slowly led her lover down the stairs into the catacombs. They were kept spotless– just because Lilith’s real body was at rest didn’t mean she was going to tolerate filthy living conditions.
Finally, they came to a stop at the end of the chamber. There, an onyx coffin was placed with a red satin drape over its lid. ❝ In there . . . That’s where you’ll find me. ❞ Lilith did not let Marlina open it yet, instead standing between the woman and the coffin where her body slept. ❝ I am giving you a fair warning: my body is healed, but my heart is still weak. If anyone else were to find this place, it could very easily be destroyed and I would have no choice but to stay in this shape forever. ❞
❝ I want you to riddle me this. If one day I’m hunted down and I retreat back to this form, would you still choose to stay by my side? ❞
Marlina followed quietly as Lilith led the way, being sure to keep her hand clasped in hers as she did. When they passed the doors where Alistair stood she gave the Pureblood a small nod of greeting, recognizing that he was the one who had appeared at her home a few years earlier. The most evident of emotions to Marlina in that moment was shock, both at what Lilith had said as well as that she had heard it directed towards herself. It was no secret, to most Lilith was very much cruel. She liked to manipulate people, but she’d always been a bit better to her. Marlina had always assumed that maybe? It was just because of their similar origins, maybe that’s what it had started as; it was true that that was why Marlina had originally befriended her. But it had GROWN. It was so much more than that now for her, it was so much stronger than that. But she had never thought Lilith would say that to anyone, let alone her. She’d been so damaged when she found out the truth of her origins, about her Mother’s lie her Father’s happy hunter family. She’d assumed she would never say that to anyone.
“Lily.”
Her words were as soft as they normally tended to be, but still different because of who they were directed towards. She reached for Lilith, putting her hands on either side of the face she was now using. She brought her face closer to hers to rest her forehead against hers, closing her eyes as she did. Why didn’t she say something sooner if so? Did she have the same fear she had? Likely not, Lilith wasn’t one to not take risks–Marlina assumed that this situation wasn’t any different.
“Why–you choose now to say so, the whole situation… Yes. I would rather you yourself be here, but I guess it really can’t be helped. I’ll go with you, but I’ll go with you. Tell me where your body is, let me help you heal. If you really want me to be selfish than let me help you, I want to hear it from you… Because I love you as well, my Lily.”
⊰ ❦ ⊱—; Lilith savors each moment of Marlina’s touch and takes in every word she breathes. Lil’s never needed to hear it, ‘I love you’; every interaction they’ve shared up to this point has always been enough to soothe her insecurities, but there’s a strange calm coming over her being at the sound of Marlina’s voice as says it. ‘I love you. I love you. My Lily.’ Perhaps it has always been this way? She’s forever been Marlina’s Lily.
Slender fingers become intertwined in fine bronzed locks as the blonde sets a gentle kiss onto her love’s forehead. As always, she is selfish, but at the very least makes the effort not to make the other too ill at ease. ❝ My saving grace . . . Let me cherish you endlessly. ❞
Half tempted to take up her face into a longer and more passionate embrace, Lilith stops herself and simply holds Lina close. If they didn’t flee now, hunters may catch up to them, and they’ll be more than willing to expel Lil and take Marlina into custody.
❝ I’m currently in the custody of Alistair Cromwell. We’re inside an abandoned church, deep underground. I’ll go there with you, but we should leave soon, love. I wouldn’t be caught off guard if it turned out the old Headmaster were trailing us. ❞
~✨~
Marlina didn't follow how their conversation had turned into such a confession from either side, it had started off simple enough. Lilith was trying to meddle, she always tried to meddle after all. It was a hobby of hers. But it had gotten so far so quick. She stayed still for a moment longer, her delicate looking hands holding onto her Lily as closely as she could stand. She was very aware after all that this body was someone else's, and as much as she would not force her to stay in her own body-- she also would not force someone else to endure someone else's feelings being conveyed in any way but harmless gestures.

~✨~
Marlina tensed at the other’s words, how could she even think to say that to her? No matter the reason for it! It was a cruel thing to make Marlina imagine, even if Lilith didn’t know her true feelings. She still knew that she meant a great deal to her. The thought of being the cause of her death, the thought of her taking her own life because of her refusing her request-
“The Association and the Senate are not the ones that I am worried my selfishness will hurt, leaving with you… Lilith you don’t know what–”
She pulled herself out of the embrace, bringing her hand up to whipe the tears from the face of the body she was currently using. Why couldn’t she be in her own body? She’d much rather this conversation well looking at her than a stranger, but there was nothing that could be done about it right now. Her body wasn’t here at the moment after all.
“Lilith you don’t understand, you really don’t. Your asking me to be selfish and leave with you, but if I was to be truly selfish it might leave you alone in other ways. If you heard the truth…I don’t know how you would react, I don’t know— I don’t know what you would think if I were to tell you the truth, tell you that–”
The fact that it might leave her alone, the fact that she knew how it would affect the other hybrid if she were alone. It was her reason for not saying anything before now, she didn’t want Lilith to be alone; she did not want to think of a world where her Lily would not bloom again.
⊰ ❦ ⊱—; Even though Marlina broke the embrace, Lilith pulled her right back into another and held her there. She really did just say something awful, but it was true. If her dear inamorata is to vanish, the will continue living will also leave.
Marlina’s words make so little sense– the truth? What truth? It’s decided already; Lilith loves Marlina unconditionally, and already knows Marlina reciprocates those emotions. How else could someone look past all of the awful things Lilith had done? She’s a killer, she’s manipulated everyone around her, and even sealed her own mother to a fate arguably worse than death. With her sobs finally restrained by the half-blood’s touch, crimson eyes fix onto the cinnamon pools of her soul mate. Before anything can continue, she owes Marlina an apology.
❝ I am sorry. I want to see you with my own eyes. You deserve someone who can touch you without hurting another in the process . . . but for all intents and purposes, that body is no longer usable, at least not yet. ❞
❝ However, you must understand I would not have come to you in this state unless it truly mattered to me. I risked the wrath of Kaien Cross to speak with you. ❞
She raised a pale hand to caress the ashen face of the other before speaking again. ❝ I love you, Marlina. I want to trap you within my heart and chain your soul to mine, forever. I don’t want anyone to touch you but me, and right now I want to take your lips to mine; there is no one else in this world I want more than you. So don’t tell me I don’t understand. Don’t let me be on my own, and please let us leave together. ❞
