Our site launch is rapidly approaching (a static date will be announced soon), so with that comes some updates! First and foremost, we are quite excited to announce that our Discord will launch at the end of this week, meaning we invite all of our faithful followers to join us in getting to know one another within our community. Also at the end of this week, we’ll be holding a contest in order for members to receive a second pre-launch face / canon reserve. There’s still so many beautiful characters who we’d love to see exist in this unique alternate universe, so we hope to see your participation. More cool stuff to come this week as well, so stay tuned!
On the topic of our universe, below you will find the breakdown of our timeline. We hope that this paints a more clear picture of the SUNDRY landscape we’ll be exploring, and gives you inspiration and ideas for your wonderful characters. Of course, this is a non-exhaustive list and does not hit every important point in history of the canon list. It is at the player’s discretion to decide where they fit within this universe and we are eager to see what you come up with. As always, if you have any questions, do not hesitate to reach out respectfully.

Fuck sometimes i catch myself talking about Classic Literature and I’m like please I promis e I’m not Pretentious just sometimes you read A Thing that got written like. A Long Time Ago and you’re like fuck we’ve always been the same haven’t we. Stupid. Horny. Weird. Afraid to die. Here to have fun, to get drunk, to do things out of spite, to fight for beautiful things and also for just fucking stupid things. Desperate for those that come after to remember and say our names
“The haunted house is precisely that which should be homey, should be welcoming—the place one lives inside—but which has somehow become emptied out of its true function. It is terrifying because it has lost its purpose yet stubbornly persists. Neither alive nor dead but undead, the haunted house is the thing in between.”

1991.
The American population’s bright, starry eyed optimism and hope for the “American Dream” dissolves at the shores of the murky waters pummeling ahead. An era of opulence, color and indulgence has grown its grime and grunge. Dissatisfied members of the imposing “MTV generation” release their rebel yell—desperate, strained cries for a world in deep pain and anguish, seemingly like never before… or as far as they have known. However, the loudest voices roar from those which they call “Mutants”; seeming humans who possess a genetic ‘X’ trait which manifests during puberty, that allows them the power to do or appear as things beyond common comprehension. They are the homo superior. But to humankind, these beings pose a grave threat to their simple existence, thus nurturing extreme hatred and fear toward the species, especially toward those who don’t look like them. Acts of violence and terror target the Mutant race, senselessly impacting several innocent lives and leading to a more boisterous echo. The Mutants were beginning to push back.
Caught in the midst of this war were another class of humans, following decades of public service by way of their own extraordinary powers or talents. But where the mutants were viciously abhorred for being born the way they were, The Avengers were revered and celebrated as symbols of hope and safeguard, often protecting mass populations from harm or loss. They were heroes, where the Mutants were a disease plaguing humanity, and endangering them. And with radical Mutants now voraciously eager to see their ‘inferiors’ burn at their heels, The Avengers and likeminded vigilantes aren’t certain of what to make of this long gestating presence. What was certain was that times were changing drastically and it was now they must adapt in order to protect their home soil.
Now a year since the Mutant Registration Act (MRA) is passed by the 101st United States Congress and signed by President George H. W. Bush, demanding the mandatory identification and registration of all Mutants, SUNDRY drags us—without warning—into a complex conflict and introduces us to varied kinds of people, striving to survive this new world order. It’s here where new paths are travelled—and new stories are told—but with a longing for a familiar past, away from the harrowing truth of change and evolution.
Walk with us.

Exercise the writing muscle every day, even if it is only a letter, notes, a title list, a character sketch, a journal entry. Writers are like dancers, like athletes. Without that exercise, the muscles seize up.
