Lacey was right, now more than ever Ultra wanted Cara and she knew Jedikiah would do anything to get her after she tried to kill him, but she also knew that if Jedikiah leaned a finger on her, John would never forgive him and was that one of its trump cards she had. She knew how much Jedikiah still cared for John and Stephen and now that John had returned to the hideout as everything was in order before the next step would only find Roger or better, find a way to get him out of Limbo.
“Lacey… you worked on Ultra right?”
She paused briefly, but didn’t answer her sister.
“You know something about some kind of Limbo?
I mean… you’ve heard something about it while you were there?”
"For a second there I forgot you weren't the same defenseless Cara I remember from past memories." She should have known that this was how she'd reply, it was only logical. At this point, it seemed as if all of them knew ho to fend for themselves. "Limbo..?" Limbo. That certainly wasn't anything that she'd been expecting her sister to ask about. Lacey smiled at Cara, not exactly sure how to answer that. Had she heard about Limbo? Yes. But that wasn't a topic that people brought up in Ultra, at least from what she'd heard. “It's a myth. Right?” .
That's what she'd been told, at least. And Lacey sure as hell hadn't bothered to try and further explore the subject without putting herself at risk. After all, there was only one way to get to Limbo

“Yeah, Lacey… I’m a spy, which by the way is the nephew of Jedikiah and if he suspects something will never do it against his own nephew, this is our advantage. That’s why I want to stay with me, Ultra never will do poorly if you are me and we have a plan, if we rescue Roger Limbo, it ‘ll be fine.”
Cara said in a confident tone, she wanted Lacey would rather be safe and with her by his side, was torturous enough for her to get all this time to see her sister and now they met, Cara did not want to let her go, especially if she had to go with the Ultra.
“You never have to go back to the Ultra, I’m right here, I’m your sister and I will protect you as I always have.”
Lacey let out a small laugh. It was so perfectly ironic. Jedikiah's nephew, there was no way that the man himself would able to do anything about that ---- well, there was less of a chance. And she knew her sister, she was smart. The chances of them getting caught were slim. “Wow.” She wasn't sure hat to say, or if she should even say anything. She could be safe with Cara, or she could be forced to remain trapped in Ultra for got knew how much longer.
It seemed like she had no choice, but now it was clear that she did. “I think we both know I'm not the only one who needs protection. Ultra's looking for you ---- they want you, Cara. Dead or alive, I'm not sure they care. You can keep me safe, big sis. But who's going to protect you?”

She was not at all comfortable with the fact that she'd teleported out of Ultra and straight into some stranger's bedroom. "Wake up. C'mon. Dude."

Cara watched your sister carefully pronounce those words and ran to hug her sister, from the moment his sister said she would with her, nothing else mattered to face, all she had to do now was to protect her sister and all that were with her. She jumped to her sister welcomed her in his arms, the feeling she felt while embracing his sister, no one could describe it, it was as if his heart was joining… bringing together all the pieces that she had pertido in the past and since then had become that person rather than bitter. — "Sis, listen to me! I’ll do everything so that we can have our lives back as before… I can’t tell you that I have something right for the Ultra, but where I am, where we’ll stay they never will meet and I have a spy inside the Ultra, we already know a lot of you here and now, everything will be easier and you don’t have to fear anything, they’ll never find us here." — she uttered those words carefully so that her sister would not be scared, Cara reached one of her hands and opened a huge smile to her, she had never felt so happy in life as it was now.
Lacey's arms wrapped tightly around Cara's figure, tears momentarily blurring her vision as she took in the comforting feeling that she'd missed out on for so long. Once it was Cara that she'd run to for comfort, but now the hug meant something much more sinister. She couldn't sell out her sister, she loved Cara with all her heart even now. But it had to be done, and she hated it.“You have a spy, Cara..?” That couldn't be, not with Jedikiah's ever vigilant eye. Lacey would have noticed, someone would have noticed. “Okay, Cara. O-okay, I'll... I'll believe you, I'll come with you.” Her voice shook, the deep breath she took making her lungs ache. Lacey told herself it was just another part of the act ------ she just wasn't sure if she really believed it, not now. “Just please, I don't ever want to go back there.”

Liam’s head shot up with surprise and maybe just a touch of panic. Just because one of the doctors had let his morphine drip get low didn’t mean he was actually allowed to be out and about. It wasn’t like the Founder would be pleased if anyone did hurt him but that really didn’t help him much and the last thing he wanted was to be dragged back to the medical room. He needed time to actually think with his brain not addled by drugs.
Looking up at her, he lifted his lips in half a smile and shrugged. “It actually wasn’t half bad back then.” Not when John was around at least. Hesitantly, he shifted towards her, keeping his steps slow and steady, not wanting to pull any of his stitches. “You’re not..not an agent are you?”
A chuckle. Lips curling up ever so slightly in an amused grin at the thought. Her, an agent? As if that could possibly ever happen. She wasn't Agent material, she was... her, unfortunately. It was lucky that they'd even let her out of her room in the first place. "No, and I take it from the fact that you don't know that; you obviously aren't either..?"
Now there was something she never thought she'd hear in a million years. "Not half bad?" Lacey doubted it. Then again, she'd never known any other other than hating on the same people that had taken her ---- kept her from what was left of her pathetic excuse of a normal life. "Maybe then could come back and be the new now, because this now sucks."
