We’re going away for two weeks— a week long trip, then leaving directly from there to go somewhere else— and the packing situation for two trips with two different climates and vibes is stressing me TF outttt lol 🤪

Day two! 🎾

She picked out her little outfit this morning and I get it lol I was feeling my pink shorts myself 😂🎀 Logan could kind of take it or leave it but at least it gets us all outside and moving! Isla, on the other hand, really likes it and I think we’ll try to find her some lessons. She’s gotten so much better in just two days! I haven’t played tennis in a long long time. Super fun to be out there 🙂

We took the kids to the tennis courts to hit some balls around and it was so fun! Would love for this to become something we do as a family. They want to go back tomorrow! 🥹

Logan got accepted for Pre-K next year!

We watched the new episode of HOTD last night and it was so freaking good but I couldn’t sleep after!!

Unfortunately my nervous system does not recognize the difference between TV and reality lol I was on edge for the entire episode 🤪

Also RIP Vermax. Saddest death of the whole damn show 😭

We had a blast this weekend! Friday was rainy so we hit a nearby boardwalk. So fun. Then the beach and ponies on Saturday. We stayed at the beach until after 5, it was an absolutely perfect day. I’m still amazed we saw the horses on the beach. Bucket list moment.

Travel really feels so much easier at these ages— 6.5 is the sweet spot. I am loving this age more than I ever thought I would. More on this maybe at another time.

PS— I can’t believe my 4.5yo is still beach napping 🥹

Headed to Home Depot for Father’s Day lol. We’re only home for the rest of the week, headed to New England on Saturday! Summer is the best 🤍

My girl was given the “joy award” today at school and if that doesn’t fit her perfectly 🥹😭

They also sent her home with her end of year literacy results and she’s above the benchmark across the board.

Soooo stinking proud of her! Going to celebrate her and the start of summer with dinner/dessert at food truck night.

Today I got to go to Isla’s school to listen to her read a book that she wrote and illustrated. They worked on them for a long time, 11 days spent on the illustrations alone. I almost sent a picture to my parents and then I…didn’t. They’re missing everything. They don’t call or text or ask. They don’t know about any of it. And so today I chose to be selfish and not share it with them.

Isla’s school is having a culture parade tomorrow and they want all of the kids to make a poster for it. Originally I was annoyed because 8 days left of school, be so fr right now lolol 🙃 BUT it actually came out so cute. I love our little family’s story! 🥹

May was a goood reading month!

I had tried reading The Deal once before— last summer I think? It was decent. The show is *amazing* though. Started that on Friday night and I am unhealthily obsessed lol. I feel the opposite about Heated Rivalry, I think the show is a little overhyped but the Shane/Ilya books are the best part of the Game Changers series. I finished The Long Game last night and absolutely loved it. I think it was my favorite one of the six 🥲

Was disappointed by Our Perfect Storm, Looking for Alaska was a book club pick that I surprisingly hadn’t read before, and listened to Strangers on audio— really loved it!
