On Thursday they all (the team) got together upstairs in the paddock club and I couldn't control it then. That was... and I'm probably gonna have a bunch of experiences like that maybe today and this week when I go back to the factory to see everybody, to say my last goodbye, so. this is lewis’ penultimate race in a team he’s given over a decade of his life and career to and this? is how it’s playing out? this is what the last few years have led to? the soul destroying radio messages, his luck? how is this fucking fair, someone tell me… HOW is this fair

no, it goes deeper than this… he’s brought mercedes YEARS of success, he’s fought tooth and nail on and off track and what should have been a hero’s goodbye, a celebration of his achievements in a team that means as much to him as it should do to them, it’s not, it’s a drag and a mess and his own team principal is hanging him out to dry. the car is a joke, it’s weighing on him every week, it’s not about his lack of skill— but the luck? well it’s not “just” bad luck, is it? i can’t wait for him to get out of this team, i want every tie severed, fuck them.
