When I look back on the wilderness our Father gently allured us into, I can see that God never failed to come through in our desert. He gave us hope. He gave us life. He gave us love. He gave us grace. The promised land for me has been seeing Jesus for who He really is; better, greater, and more wonderful than anything or anyone. The end goal of my wilderness was that the flood gates of heaven opened and, like an avalanche of furious love, I was overcome with more of Jesus. I came to know more deeply the heart of the Father who, in spite of all the hardship that I’ve walked through, and the hardship I still walk through, promises His presence and unceasingly pours out His grace.
