Top five worst jokes from Augustus Caesar (they’re all awful, really):

The time he came across a guy plowing across his father’s memorial because he needed to use the land, and Augustus said he was surely cultivating his father’s memory.

When a man was presumably hunchbacked and asked Augustus to correct him if he was wrong, and Augustus said he could advise him, but not correct him (referring to his posture).

Dogging on his daughter for plucking out her gray hairs by pretty much saying she’d look better old than bald.

The time Augustus insisted a guy be charged for something (idk what) and then the guy asked Aug how he was gonna tell his father about the charge, and Augustus says “well ok just tell him you didn’t find me to your liking :-)”

When he ate at a colleague’s house and apparently the place looked messy and the hosting family was kinda being lazy and Augustus (who usually preferred people not making a grand display of him coming over) was in such disbelief that he mumbles some bs about “i didn’t know I was that good a friend of yours”

like on the one hand if adults got popular i think people would hate issa due to her personality and also “getting in the way” of anton and paul baker but i just want to state for the record that i love issa. crazy girls who want to be good people in an activism sense because they know that interpersonally they can be selfish and inconsiderate without meaning to be are so beautiful to me. and crucially when that mean little girl tells paul baker that being nice isn’t a personality but the absence of one, that totally highlights why paul baker and issa are together! he is a nice guy who wants to do what everyone else wants, and she is a headstrong woman who wants everyone to do what she wants but not because she’s always right just because she’s the only one coming up with ideas, and it’s why they’re good for each other but also why they’re bad for each other. he needs someone who thinks about his feelings before their own and forces him to have opinions and make choices, and she needs someone who will speak up for themselves when she doesn’t consider their point of view but who also respects that she is the way she is and is not going to tone herself down for them. and that person for both of themmmmm could be anton……………
