she feels almost strange, sitting out in public without paying too much attention to her surroundings. it’s slowly getting dark, and she’s come to assume that the order isn’t doing anything tonight. she’s got nowhere else to go anyway; daniel and jonas being gone until morning and her hotel room can’t be trusted anymore. someone else coming and sitting on the swing next to her makes her slightly unsettled, but they don’t seem dangerous. doesn’t seem like they were gonna hurt her.

her phone is in her hands, though uses it as a camera more than anything else. she hasn’t dared to turn the camera app on, though, doesn’t want to scare away the person next to her. she’s been messing around with it while sitting there, turning it around in her hands. her attention turns to the sky, a couple of stars poking out through the clouds. it’s a nice night, even if the place they’re in looks less nice. things seem to get worse fast though, bree finally looks away from the sky to see a man in a suit across the street. she’s not sure at first, but she quickly decides that it’s definitely a watcher from the order. she knows she’s in trouble if he sees her, but she can’t just up and run from this person; she’d be putting them in danger then too. they’re probably already in danger just by being next to her.

so in a matter of seconds she flips open the camera app and starts recording, pointing it to the watcher for a moment before turning it to herself. “we need to go.” she says, turning the camera to the watcher again. she knows that they’re not gonna understand what’s going on, so she just takes their hand and pulls. she stops for a moment to give them time to adjust and grab anything they might’ve had before she runs off, bringing them with her. she drags them to an alley nearby before hiding behind a dumpster. she points the camera so that it’s focused on the watcher. “that’s a watcher. it’s a long story and i can’t really explain it all in a matter of seconds, but he can’t see me. he’s part of this cult called ‘the order’ and it’s just.. bad stuff.” she’s talking loud enough for them and the camera to hear her, but still pretty silently. she turns the camera on herself, looking from the watcher to the phone’s camera. “if you don’t hear from me in 12 hours, assume the worst. daniel and jonas: if you see this..” but she doesn’t know what to say. “keep your eyes open, don’t let them find you.” and with that she stops recording, using the youtube app to upload the video. “he should be gone soon. i’m sorry about this.”

              AN  EYEBROW  IS  RAISED,  THE  GIRL  ALMOST  IMPRESSED  BY  HIS  CONFIDENCE  IN  THE  SITUATION.  almost.     “   you  have  no  idea  how  smart  i  am,  detective.  everything  you’ve  seen  or  heard  has  been  a  LIE.   ”     a  smirk  crosses  her  face  as  she  crouches  down  in  front  of  him,  hand  gently  raising  to  grab  his  chin,  forcing  him  to  look  straight  at  her.  she’s  still  gentle,  still  seems  so  normal  in  the  situation.     “   you  think  people  are  gonna  hear  about  this   ?   you  think  you’re  gonna  get  out  of  here  and  tell  all  your  LITTLE  COP  BUDDIES  and  i’m  gonna  go  to  jail   ?   ”     there’s  a  quiet  laugh,  and  suddenly  her  face  twists  into  something  looking  far  less  innocent  than  it  had  moments  before.  when  she  speaks  her  voice  has  dropped  a  few  octaves,  cheerfulness  now  gone.     “   you’re  not  getting  out  of  here  alive.   ”

was home-schooled most of her life. went to public school in new zealand for a few years, then was home-schooled in england, then attended public school in california where she met daniel, before being pulled out and home-schooled again.

her religion - the hymn of one - was deemed ‘weird’ by her friend and her viewers, she defended it but it later turned out to be a cult-like cover up for a group called the order.

the hymn of one wanted her to preform a ceremony because she was trait positive, upon discovering how dangerous it was she and her friend daniel ran away.

she talks to her teddy bears and brings them with her when she’s running for her life she’s precious

was born in russian siberia and then adopted by the ones she came to know as her parents. has a birth sister that she never found out about.

watched her father die because he told her about the adoption/being trait positive and the order wasn’t happy about it.

wants to protect other trait positive girls, no matter the risk it poses to herself.

after being on the run with her friends for almost a year bree realized that as long as she was with her friends they were in danger and the order wouldn’t stop. she handed herself in to the order and preformed the ceremony, which “killed” her.

~10 years later bree is revealed to be alive and working for the order. the order faked her death in front of her friends and then brainwashed her into preparing other ceremony girls.

her and her friends had committed some crimes in their vlogs, though bree was never wanted actively before her death. these are the crimes she committed, in chronological order, all of which happened before her “death”:

Bree was sentenced to house arrest after her parents discovered she had snuck out to go to a party with Daniel. She continued to sneak out after this.

In Learning To Drive, Daniel takes Bree out driving in his car, even though she has never driven before and presumably has no license or learners permit. Driving without a license is a misdemeanor in California, and may be punished with probation, time in jail, and up to $1,000 in fines. The car may also be impounded.

In Bree's Gone, Jonas reveals that Bree has stolen one of his cars.

Bree, Daniel, Jonas, Taylor, and Sarah trespass on the property of a home that Taylor thinks is Jules's.

The first “trait positive” male in a millenia. Is wanted by a mysterious group called “The Order” for helping a trait positive girl get away as well as leading a resistance movement and being trait positive himself. Doesnt know hes trait positive.

Can’t stand to see people that need help and do nothing. Attempted to stop his fight against the order and soon got pulled back in. Will help anyone and while initially distrusting he tends to trust people easily, especially if they’re in danger.

Once got stabbed and instead of worrying about himself was worried about the girl helping him even though she wasnt injured.

Has lost everything but refuses to give up fighting. A big mix of idealistic and realistic.

Someone put a hit out on jonas and his friends so people keep trying to kill them.

               VOICE  DRAGS  HIS  ATTENTION  UPWARDS ,  GAZE  STRUGGLING  TO  SLIDE  INTO  FOCUS  on  the  woman  standing  near  him.  takes  a  few  moments  to  absorb  the  words  directed  at  him  ——  frown  deepening  further  in  the  surrealism  of  quite  how  ordinary  her  question  sounds     (   partly  wondering  if  this  is  a  DREAM  he’ll  wake  up  from  with  nothing  but  a  headache   ).

                              “   I’D  BE  MORE  COMFORTABLE  without  these  on.   ”     posture  straightens  to  something  more  comfortable ,  hands  deliberately  tugging  at  the  cuffs  as  they  RATTLE  around  his  wrists.     “   what’s  going  on  here   ?   ”

              “   I’M  NOT  STUPID,  DETECTIVE.  I  TAKE  THOSE  OFF  AND  YOU’RE  GONNA  FIGHT  BACK.   ”     she’s  seen  enough  movies  to  know  that,  not  to  mention  all  the  times  people  had  tried  to  kidnap  jonas  and  the  gang.  she’d  learnt  by  watching,  and  she  didn’t  plan  on  making  any  mistakes.  there  was  too  much  at  stake  for  that.

                             “   WHAT’S  GOING  ON  HERE   ?   ”     she  mocks,  voice  far  more  high  pitched  than  his.     “   i  thought  detectives  are  meant  to  be  SMART  ?   shouldn’t  you  know  a  kidnapping  when  you  see  one  ?   or ...  feel  one   ?   ”
