when i write aki , i tend to keep his voice rather plain ?? he's sort of a serious person but idk if i should change it up,,, any opinions ? i might re-read to see how i feel buit he doesn't have the loudness of someone like power or the teasing of himeno hhhashdhasd

unease uttered amongst a veil of nicotine smoke.  death stalks them,  harbingers of death call their names and neither heaven nor deities could liberate them from that fate; devil hunters always died young,  it was in their nature.  Aki doesn’t rebut her words -  cannot refute the hold makima has on him,  so he takes a transient inhale of virulence,  a blank, dark gaze follows the horizon’s line where it breaks into mauve and oranges ;  dawn.   “  she has done a lot for us ,  I don’t think it’s so strange that we want to show our gratitude.”  the cigarette is pinched between index and thumb ,  molten ash flicked into oblivion,  cascading down from the balcony and dispersing into nothingness. much like them,  one day they too would be lost to ash -  his more imminent an oath than others but it could come at any time -  he knew that so well.  

“  are you jealous ?”   his eyes meet her for a moment,  offering his cigarette to her by pressing it to her lips.   “   the way you are -  is also .. good.”    his words waver for a moment,  Aki wasn’t always good with words -  didn’t know when or how to say things,  he pulled away ,  allowing his gaze to settle back on the darkening sky.   “  don't change .. okay - himeno."
