Chapter 10: Jealousy
After that unfortunate outburst at Antonio's last month, Silent had to deny her feelings for Junior to Junior's face because Riley fucked it up. It was exhausting, and Riley was lucky she didn't get murdered right there. Now Junior was all smug about it, trying to get more answers out of her. Silent nearly lobbed his head off because he wouldn't leave her alone when she was leaving. Chad had to restrain Silent from doing any lethal damage.
Today was her second day of freedom for the month, and she was headed to Antonio's Restaurant for some food. She was gonna spend tomorrow exploring the place for more crystals for her gauntlets. But for now, she headed into Antonio's alone as Axel was staying in her room.
Speaking of Axel, Chad seemed to have fixed him up pretty good. He wasn't malfunctioning anymore, and he wasn't biting people.
As Silent walked inside of the establishment, Silent spotted Wormy in a booth near the Smoothie Bar. She smiled brightly, sneaking up to him. Once she arrived behind his booth, she could hear him talking to Riley about something. Silent peeked over the top of the booth and saw Riley packing up a medical kit.
"Are you sure you're ok? I can get more ice packs and bandages." Riley placed a hand on her hip.
"No, I'm fine for now. Thanks though." Wormy replied.
Silent tilted her head in confusion, leaning over the booth to see what they were talking about. When she did, she looked over at Wormy and gasped, "Oh my god, are you ok?" Silent was staring at Wormy in concern.
Wormy jumped at Silent's voice, looking to his right side to see her leaning over the top of the booth. "Goddammit! Don't do that!" Wormy had on a grey zip-up jacket. He was sporting some major painful-looking bruises on his arms and what she could see of his collar bone. Blood trailed down his jaw possibly coming from his nose as he held a napkin to his face.
Silent crawled over the booth and sat beside him. She stared in concern at him. He looked like a truck had hit him. "Goddamn, it looks like you’ve been hit with a truck! Are you ok? What the hell happened?”
Wormy sighed, looking away from her. "Stop staring."
Silent backed off; her mask emoting a sad expression. "Did one of your gigs get too violent?" She tried her best to mask her emotion, but it didn’t work out so well.
Wormy didn't want to look at her. "You could say that...don't worry about it. I'm fine." He waved her off, flinching as he did so. He felt an ice-cold sensation on his arm and looked over to see Silent holding a cold compress up to him.
"I won't stop. You're hurt, Casey. I'm worried, and I want you to get better." She looked at him; apparently, she had moved her mask out of her face to stare straight into his eyes. Her golden eyes held a lot of emotion in them when they didn’t have the strange energy flowing out of them.
Wormy tried his best to not give in, but he couldn't say no to her. That compress felt nice too. "Fine, just don't ask me questions about how I got these." He didn't want her to know the reason he got these bruises.
Silent nodded, "Is there anywhere else I can put these? I'm sure your arms aren't the only places with bruising on them." She checked him over, looking for more injuries.
"I have some on my side but that would require me to take my shirt off." He replied.
"Dude, you're injured, come on. I don't care if you're shirtless. I just want to help." Silent argued, "If you don't take it off, I'll do it for you."
"No, stop! I'll do it. Just hang on, ok? It hurts to move." He grumbled, shrugging off his jacket, and then was about to remove his black tank top when Silent stopped him. "What? I thought you wanted to help me?"
Silent placed her hands on his shoulder, leaning in close to his neck to check something out. "Is that a choker?" Yep, it definitely was a spiked choker. "Oh my god, it is!"
"It's just a choker, no need to get all excited." He shrugged.
Silent stared at the choker, glancing down to where she saw some painful bruises near his collar bone. She caught the glimpse of a collar bone piercing. "So, you got piercings too? I know you have them in your ears, but I didn't know you would get them in your collar bone!" She felt her face get a tad hot because she could feel Wormy's breath on the back of her neck. "That must really fucking hurt."
"It did at first, but it's fine for now." He replied, unsure of what to do in this situation. On one hand, she wasn't asking about his bruises but on the other, she was asking him about his piercings.
"How many piercings do you have? Besides your ears and this one?"
"Uh, I have a few more."
"Where are they?"
"I could show you some of them." He offered.
"Really? Show me then!" Silent smiled.
Wormy really loved her smile. He sighed, stripping off his tank top and set it down on the table. He turned to look at her, noticing that her face was extremely red right now. "You just said you didn't have a problem with me taking off my shirt?"
Silent nodded. "I'm perfectly fine!" She took a moment to compose herself and looked back at Wormy again. She could see that Wormy, although lanky and skinny, had some muscle. She looked at his collar bone.
"If you would stop gawking at me, I could show you the rest of them." He crossed his arms. "Well?"
Silent gulped and nodded at him. "Go ahead."
"You already know about my collar bone and ears." He pointed at them. "Next would be my hips."
"I'm sorry, what?"
"I have hip bone piercings, you dunce." He flicked her forehead with his finger and showed her the piercings on his hips. She couldn't see them well because his pants were in the way so he started shimmying down his pants a bit to show them off. He grinned when Silent squeaked, looking away from him. "What's the matter?"
"Stop taking off your pants! I can see the piercings!" She blocked her vision with her hands. She noticed he had a particularly nasty bruise that traveled lower down his hip. "You got any others?"
"I got two more." He lied. He actually had one more, but it wasn't deemed public appropriate. She would probably kill him if he joked about it.
Silent started pressing the cold compress to Wormy's hip, hearing him hiss at the sudden coldness. "Where are they at?" She really hoped he wasn't implying what she was thinking.
"It's..." He didn't want to say because they were on his face.
"He has some on his lips."
Wormy glared at Riley through his mask. He didn't want to show Silent them considering he never took off his mask in front of people. Also, his nose was still bleeding, and he didn't want to worry her further.
"Wait, like snake bites?" Silent asked, peering closer to Wormy's mask. She accidentally pressed further into his bruised hip, apologizing shortly after.
Wormy was surprised she knew what those were. "Yeah."
"Can I see them, please?" Silent asked him, resting her hands on his hip.
"You know I don't like showing my face." He glanced down at her.
"Ok, it's not like I'll be seeing your whole face. It'll just be where your mouth is. You're ok with that right?" She rested her head against his shoulder.
Wormy could hear Riley giggling from behind a pillar. He gave in to Silent's request. He raised his mask to only show his mouth to Silent. There they were, his snake bite piercings.
Silent turned around in her seat and placed her hands on his right thigh to take a closer look. "Ooh! I've always wanted those, but I've been afraid of the pain." She got a bit too close to his face which made him start blushing.
"They don't hurt that bad. Well at first they were sore, but I eventually got used to it. Most piercings hurt when you get them." He replied, faintly aware that Silent can see him speak. "Actually, they hurt a lot when I get into fights."
"Oh," Silent looked to the side guiltily. "Look I'm really sorry if I ever hurt you bad enough to cause bruises. I'll try my best to not do it again." She glanced down at the horrible bruises decorating his torso. "I hope I've never caused you to get bruises this bad."
"Thankfully you haven't. You've only gone after my legs so I'm pretty much safe from your wrath." He placed his right hand on her shoulder. He chuckled, licking his lips to get rid of the blood coming down from his nose. Suddenly Silent held his face with her hands and gasped which startled Wormy. "What the hell Silent!?" She was practically straddling his thigh!
Silent leaned in close to his face, gently holding his jaw in her hands. She looked excited and shocked at the same time. "Dude!" She exclaimed.
"W-What?" He found it hard to speak with her holding his jaw like that. He grabbed her waist because he had no idea where to put his hands. He was hoping no one saw this weird interaction; he had no idea how to explain if he was asked to.
"You have a tongue piercing! Holy shit! You kinky fuck!" She tried to take a closer look, but Wormy kept his mouth shut. "Please let me see! Do you really have a tongue piercing? Why would you even need one?" She asked question after question, getting out of breath quickly as she started breathing heavily.
Wormy decided to go with the flow and tease Silent. He placed his hand on her hip and used the other one to place it underneath her chin. He opened his mouth to show off his sharp teeth. His tongue slipped out to show off the piercing. "Why else do you think I have it? To pleasure someone." His voice got deep as he leaned forward and whispered in her ear, "I have another one, but I can't show it in public. Do you still want to see it?" He purred. He was going way too far, but Silent caused this to happen so fuck it.
Silent let out a squeak, feeling her face get extremely red. Her throat felt dry, and she struggled to come up with words. She dropped his face when she felt his tongue brush against her lips briefly. She scooted off of him and inched to the middle of the booth. She avoided his gaze.
Wormy chuckled, slipping the jacket back on. He took a sip of his forgotten soda. "How come you're all quiet?"
"You know exactly why." Silent felt like she would combust if she looked at him. Her thoughts were racing. She touched her lip absentmindedly. The memory made her heart race, and she hid her face in her hands. "I can't believe you did that."
————————————————————————
Luck was not on her side today because Junior had decided to stop by at Antonio's Restaurant for a quick bite to eat. He had plans today for some upcoming event the Duke had told him about. That meant he had to catch more robots for whatever reason. But hey, he wasn't complaining. The pay was good, and he would get to see Silent again.
Junior walked inside the establishment, searching for a booth to eat at. He faintly saw the shape of Silent's mask in the distance. He decided to drop by and have a chat while he ate. Once he arrived over there, he noticed the redhead from the Electroblades sitting with her. If he recalled, his name was Wormy or something. He only remembered the Electroblade's boss because he was scary as fuck. Junior placed his hands on his hips. "Goddamn Silent. I didn't know went out on a lot of dates. First Chad, now him?”
Silent snapped at him, "I'm not on a date! Especially not with someone like him that has the nerve to do what he did to me!" She pointed at the Electroblade.
Junior glanced at him, noticing he was only wearing a jacket over his shirtless torso. He was sporting some nasty bruises all over. Junior could see him trying to hide a smirk as he took a sip of his drink. "What'd he do?" He took a seat on the opposite end of the booth.
Silent opened her mouth to respond when her face got red, and she hid her head in her hands. She whimpered, "I don't want to relive it."
"It wasn't that bad, Silent. All I did was show you my piercings like you asked me to." Wormy replied.
"Piercings?" Junior tilted his head. Junior had some piercings. He didn't see the big deal about them.
"I was ok with seeing your piercings, but I wasn't ok with the tongue piercing part!" She couldn't even explain in the right way why it was so bad.
Junior looked from Silent to Wormy, trying to come up with a solution. "I don't see the reason why you're so angry about a tongue ring. I have one too."
Silent looked at Junior. "No, you fucking don't."
Junior opened his mouth to show off his venom tongue piercing. "I got some on my collar bone and hips too."
Silent's face was burning right red. "You guys don't need tongue piercings! Either you want to be edgy fucks or you... you want them for..." she didn't finish her sentence. She slumped forward so her head was resting on the table. "I can't process all this information right now. I gotta let my brain rest." And with that, she was out like a light.
---------------------------------------------------
So now Junior and Wormy were alone. Junior narrowed his eyes at him. "What did you do to her?"
Wormy shrugged. "She asked to see my tongue piercing, and I showed her. Might've licked her lip, that's it." He placed his arms on the table, awaiting Junior's reply.
"You licked her lip?!"
"Yeah, it wasn't like I kissed her. Calm down. Why're you getting so worked up for, Junior?" Wormy grinned.
Junior formed his hand into a tight fist, struggling to keep his cool. "You invaded her personal space."
"And why should you care about that? You're not dating her so she's free game." Wormy glanced at Silent. "I've grown fond of her although she still annoys me. She's finding parts of myself I've never known about."
"She's one of a kind." Junior agreed. "But hey, don't think I won't pursue her because of that stunt you pulled. She doesn't belong to you."
"Neither does she to you."
Junior and Wormy glared at each other. Both about to attack each other over their affection for Silent.
Riley stared at them with disbelief. She couldn't believe that they were being idiots. It was obvious that they didn't need to worry cuz Silent felt the same way for both of them. Silent's mask didn't hide her emotions as well as she thought it did. Every time Junior or Wormy said something to her, her mask would glow pink.
"You sure you wanna mess with the leader of the Mama's Boys?" Junior threatened, cracking his knuckles.
Wormy laughed, crossing his arms. "Bitch, you're like 5 feet tall. You can't even reach me! I didn't get into the Electroblades cuz of my height.”
They were about to rumble when a serving tray suddenly blocked their view of each other. It was from Riley.
"I'm sick of your childish fighting over Silent! You guys are blind as fuck if you can't see she likes you both!" Riley glared at them, not the least bit scared by them. She's faced tougher battles. She was a fisherman after all.
"She likes us both?" They both said at the same time, glancing down at Silent.
"Yes, you morons! She likes you both so stop fighting each other! This would probably make her sad!" Riley lowered her tray, glancing at Silent. "You'd probably be better off helping her back to the Duke's mansion. She looks like she's not gonna be waking up anytime soon."
Both boys sat back down.
Riley looked at Junior. "You take her back in your car cuz you're the only one with a vehicle." She noticed Wormy looked a bit bitter. "And you," she looks at the Electroblade in annoyance, "you get your ass back home and take care of yourself. If you get hurt anymore, Silent will worry herself to death."
"She doesn't need—" Wormy began to say.
"She fucking likes you! Of course, she's gonna worry! She already thinks she's causing the bruises."
"I told her she wasn't the cause!"
"Wormy, you told me earlier that she was the reason you got beat up in the first place." Riley snapped.
"Wait what? What the hell are you talking about?" Junior asked.
Wormy looked away from both of their gazes, gritting his teeth. He grabbed his tank top, wadding it into a ball.
Riley narrowed her eyes at him. "You said Silent was the reason you got beat up last night."
Junior was confused.
"Look, ok. Crater wants to hurt Silent so bad that she'll never be able to get in his way again. The Duke has been getting in our way recently and that means Silent has to fight us off. Crater doesn't like her at all." He explained tiredly. "After one of our practices, I hung back and told Crater to chill out on attacking Silent. It wasn't going to get him anywhere. And as you can guess, he didn't take it very well." He glanced at Silent's sleeping form. "So in a way, it is her fault."
Riley sighed, holding her head with her hand. "You need to leave the Electroblades. You're gonna keep getting hurt if you stay. Your feelings for Silent will become your demise."
