“You have no idea just how much I want that,” Yuni says in near desperation. Her skin was crawling with how little she’d done with anyone else this break. Everyone was such a homebody; any walks she went on around the town grew lonely quickly. Fox was the perfect person to kidnap on an adventure. “The air is too fresh to stay cooped up all week. Let’s find something to do.” With that, she was grabbing her beanie from her lap and putting it on her head. With zero idea of where they were going, she couldn’t have been more excited.
Fox hated feeling bored. Usually there was something to do. But lately everyone seemed to be holed up in their homes rather than actually going out and having fun. Fox didn’t consider himself an extrovert, but he couldn’t handle being in one place for very long. He liked to explore, see new things, have fun. All of which he could not do if there weren’t people around to go with him. “Awesome!” He grabbed his jacket and followed her. Honestly, there probably was something they could do that was far more productive than going on an adventure, Fox just didn’t care. “Alright, captain. Where are we heading?”
This school year seemed to be going by more quickly than Fox wanted it to. College felt like it was just around the corner and he hadn’t done any of the prep work that he needed to do. Maybe he’d just fail this year and redo senior year. Leaving town didn’t seem like something he wanted to do. His parents probably wouldn’t kill him if he took a gap year. Break was nice, since his parents weren’t filming, Fox’s family ended up going to Canada to visit his dad’s side of the family. But they were back and school had yet to start back up, even though it was officially the new year. “I know it’s cold, but I’m itching to get outside. Want to join?”
There was always a mixture of emotions when their parents were gone. Like any teenager, the freedom it provided was refreshing but having their fathers name in the tabloids constantly was taxing at times. A phone was at her ear as she walked, rambling to a friend who lived much farther away than she would like them to about whatever teenage drama she was experiencing at the moment. She wasn’t paying attention to her surroundings when she nearly bulldozed over someone, causing whatever they were holding to scatter across the pavement “Hey, I’ll call you back” she muttered, hanging up the phone and shoving it into her back pocket “I’m so sorry” Zelda crouch down to help them when the familiar voice nearly made her laugh, her gaze lifting to meet with Fox. It only felt right that it was her brother “I didn’t think you *could* think” she teased, passing him the papers she managed to pick up
Honestly, Fox didn’t mind living with his grandparents. They were good people. Humble people. He missed being on the road with his parents. Meeting new people in new places and being on set. The whole film industry was an experience that he wished he could experience daily like his parents. Like people said, the apple didn’t fall far from the tree. In Fox’s case that was more than true. His mind was focused on the positives of being with his grandparents, not the negatives. At least he didn’t have to deal with dad, even if there was plenty of news on him. He’d always told them he needed some way to cope with acting and it was better alcohol than drugs. Fox knew better. The papers scattered everywhere and he was going to have a horrid time putting them back in order. At least he’d only run into Zelda and she was helping him pick up the papers. “I think all the time. You’re just never around to see it,” he replied. “But right now I’m thinking about how terrible it’s going to be putting those papers back in order.”
Fox’s feet carried him towards his grandparent’s house at the end of his block. Ear buds in, he slightly hopped along his path, not entirely dancing, but not walking like a normal person either. He’d just finished the last bit of homework that he had for his film editing class and he was looking forward to having the rest of the evening to do something other than sit in his room. As far as he was aware, his parents were once again off filming in some remote location in France or Spain or somewhere. Which meant that soon there’d be some public debauchery in the tabloids that he had to pretend didn’t bother him. With no real plans for the weekend, he could use the time to work on his script. He side stepped to avoid, someone and tripped on his own shoelace. “Shit,” he said, as a bunch of his notes went flying in every direction. He started scrambling to pick everything up before other people started stepping on it. “Well I’m clearly not meant to walk and think at the same time.”
ayeee this is my kid fox, i don’t think any of you know him, so here’s a little bit on him.
fox kelly was born to a famous actor ( rainer kelly ) and a director ( lila kelly ). they were mostly known for their strange films ( think wes anderson films ). very artistic, very theatrical with bright colors and quirky characters.
when fox was born, he was the second born to the kelly family and the media didn’t particularly care – only that he’d been named after the famous x-files character, fox mulder.
his family was always rather close. fox especially with his younger sister, zelda. whenever rainer was filming some movie or lila was directing, the entire family would move with them rather than leave them in one spot because they liked to be close to their children.
fox was basically never in an actual school until high school, when his parents finally decided they should let the kids live with their grandmother, much to fox’s dismay who enjoyed being on set. he’s pretty smart, though he doesn’t like to brag about it.
the only thing really tragic about his home life, would be his father, who is an alcoholic. the media knows this too and will follow him around whenever he’s out because usually something interesting happens.
his father has spent many nights in jail. usually, when he’s home, he doesn’t drink, it’s mostly when he’s filming that things get a little hectic and he turns to alcohol. but it’s caused tension with fox because he honestly.... just is embarrassed at how public his father is about it.
fox wants to go into film in the future, like his parents. but he leans more on the directing side than he does acting.
personality:
personality wise, fox is very friendly to everyone. however, he doesn’t talk to many people.
he seems way more mature for his age than normal people his age.
he’s totally not the party type, only because he doesn’t want to end up like his father and abuse alcohol, but that’s not to say he’ll never go to a party.
fox is not the type to stand up to bullies either and has been the target of many throughout his life. this is mainly due to the whole “homeschooled kid” vibes he tends to give off.
however, he’s charming when he wants to be and really just wants to nerd out about films.
don’t be too fooled by his doe-eyed nature though, he really isn’t as innocent as he seems. he’s gotten into his fair share of trouble. he’s been to parties ( just doesn’t drink at them ), he’s not a virgin, and while he hasn’t done any of the “hardcore” drugs, hes still know where to get different drugs around town.
he’s an amateur sleuth – a mystery lover to a fault.
