I just realized that the Liberty Falls cinematic is relevant AND teases us to the whole Krueger story plot, MOSTLY because of how Mary acts in the cinematic.
In the beginning, when the wind picks up, Mary reacts to wind by putting down her book and wrapping her arms around herself, pretty normal stuff. BUT what’s NOT normal is the fact that she looks out kind’ve scared and unsure about something. This makes sense because this was after her ratting out Krueger for what he was doing and then getting the safe house, whatever it’s called, but she still feels unsafe and feels like something bad can still happen even though her and her family are considered safe. This also ties in Sam and Richtofen because they’re both not affected by the wind aka the situation, (and obviously Sam isn’t affected by the wind because he’s wearing a jacket also why would you tell your son about what you did😭) while Richtofen doesn’t know because Mary never told him and only reacts to the wind because Mary reacted first. He’s still oblivious because he says that he’ll get her sweater when she wasn’t cold (unless she was idrk) and he still doesn’t know until he walks away and senses somethings wrong. Even then after the incident he still doesn’t know it was Krueger and thought that it was strictly just Weaver and Samantha.
There’s still little details in that cinematic that I can’t believe that just flew over my head.
